Just a comment on this, I have to say this was possibly Givens worst game in a very long time. His distribution was awful yesterday, he didn't seem to be looking for the quick throw out or keeping the ball on the floor he was constantly launching the ball up field to give the ball away or putting it out of play. At one point Ramage even took the goal kick cause Given was taking so long. He failed to come off his line at some balls which really should have been his and a couple of his punches over the top of defenders were simply stupid. I have no doubts he'll get it sorted again for the next match but his kicking has been terrible for the last 2-3 games so hopefiully he can get back into the good kicking standard we're used to and not heading back to the old days of Given when he lost so much confidence because of his poor distribution (I think Wilkinson taught him how to kick again after the rugby world cup or something daft like that).

Is that the bloke who marked Sibierski all game ? He was build like a boxer I wouldn't have fancied playing against him, however when the ball was on the floor he struggled more which is why I was wondering why Shay kept launching it up field.

I don't see how any one can make quick money out of our club. They can't sell the ground and you only make decent money from making CL.

I still think it'll happen just the board is covering it's back in terms of announcing to the stock exchange

Problem also is nobody ever gets great players in January cause clubs don't want rid till the end of the season

Radio one have had it on their news this morning as well, they have also got in touch with the club who just said no comment.

In my opinion its great news for the club in that the whole setup can finally be change and hopefully more avenues exposed for the club to make money and help the club. And everyone knows the best way to make money is to be playing Champions League football. I also doubt very much the club will now have to have a Geordie manager so hopefully when it's time for Roeder to leave, whenever that might be, we'll get a world class manager in not a one the board like for the wrong reasons.

See I thought that but the BBC needs confirmation from two sources before it's able to run a story so they must have got news from elsewhere as well. Basically they said all members of the board had agreed to the fee of £227m I'm not sure how much that is per share.

Ahh i know I don't rate Carr either however I only mention it because Roeder in his interview said something along the lines of the senior players out there are the only senior players who are fit and those who are currently injured are nowhere near ready to play yet. Suggesting to me that Carr won't be fit for Chelsea and with Nobby out it means we have no recognised right back at all.

Am i right in thinking that Carr has been out injured for almost two months now with a bruised toe. And we thought marcelino took the piss.
