  1. Southampton stadium is half empty. Was full last week when we visited. But we're only a big club in Newcastle.
  2. Just not true. We made more play in the final third in the last 10 minutes than the entire 80 before that.
  3. It was two teams with tactics that cancelled each other out and neither manager willing to take a risk to win it. Always going to be settled by a set piece. This tactics cancelling each other out stuff only goes so far like. Both teams were alarmingly poor on the ball. It was basically only Townsend and Zaha who looked like they'd kicked a ball before. Primarily because there was no space, due to how both teams were set up. I don't see what this tactical yin and yang craic has to do with Palace not having any strikers and Joselu being poor like. There was a lack of quality throughout both sides and it's highlighted best of all up front. When Townsend and Zaha got on the ball the game threatened to burst into life but that was about it. Have you been listening to a load of footy podcasts or something recently? No i don't do podcasts. That would be fine if Joselu had missed a load of chances but he barely had the ball in the final third, that wasn't all his doing, that was because of how the rest of the team failed to function.
  4. He failed with more than he succeeded with, but one in particular was outstanding. He did really well today, especially as he was on a yellow from quite early on.

  7. It was the only way. Had you pressed on, Palace might have scored. Hodgson's game plan is always to sit back and you don't have the players to tear them apart. Rafa knew to pile on the pressure was to invite conceding on the counter, so he basically let it turn into s*** on a stick and then banked on grabbing one as they tired. I reckon that game went according to his plan. He's the ultimate pragmatist. And Hodgson is a knob-truffling arsebasket.
  8. They played better than us for decent stretches of the game. They didn't have a shot on target in 96 minutes of football.
  9. He was shit today and his goal was a total fluke.
  10. Tactical stalemate with neither manager willing to change and take a risk. Always going to be settled by either a wordlie or a set piece. Just hope we can hang on now.
  11. Palace can fuck off putting that out for a goal kick. Fucking cunts. We had the ball 30 yards out.
