  1. it has coincided with the return to fitness of viduka and martins. no real surprise there
  2. any other fancy named dutchman or whatever would be getting praise for such a role, dropping deep etc... and we wouldnt hear the end of the sheer brilliance of playing in that role where defenders would have to move out of position to cover, hence leaving a dis-jointed opposition back line. IMO, Owen (and Keegan) have executed this plan brilliantly, where by now Owen, a top class footballer and team captain, sees more of the ball throughout the game, thus allowing him to stay involved and sharp, rather than toil further up on his own, being either marked out of the game, or isolated due to a lack of creativity leaving him frustrated and less "on his heels". I have nothing but praise for the way Owen has performed and adapted, and I am certainly not against him playing this role until we get a proper creative unit behind him to give him a fruitful supply line. Quit moaning and undermining our players. Elano is s***!!
  3. last time i saw ando palyd he was a bit downtrodden. seemed to take it to heart that fact that he missed out on the dingop roofiol
  4. Bullard. Not a fucking chance in hell!! He played well, but I thought both Butt and Barton were better, and Geremi was involved in both goals on top of that as well. Overall I would say Owen was man of the match. Led by example and had a brilliant game dropping deep and spraying the ball about. Looks fitter and sharper, and still scoring.
  5. Faye has been a beast, but Taylor's done his job when asked questions. It just so happens that most of the play is coming through Faye's position, and he's been able to deal with everything very well except for giving away that freekick which Bullard smacked straight into the wall.
  6. the whole of the starting 11 have been excellent so far. our midfielders in barton, butt and geremi have been the pick of the bunch for me. should be at least 3-0 up. at least.
  7. fuck SKY and if they don't like that, let them sue me!
  8. fuck me HTT we get the bloody point!!
  9. spot on. been hoping he would give that a shot. i think it would work.
  10. eh? that;s matty pattison
  11. Les Ferdinand in my opinion. It was very important for us to replace Andy Cole with another 20-goal-a-season striker, and KK duly delivered. Imo it propelled us from a team punching above their weight at the time to becoming one of the heavy weights. The whole plan of course wasn't complete until Ginola was in place on the left wing, and with Gillespie on the right and Pedro just behind, Sir Les wasn't going to be anything but lethal.

will be playing 5 a side right up until kick off. wasnt planning on watching this game at the pub tonight, but seeing that its st paddy's and all, my mates feel like going out to get twatted. may as well end up at the watering hole watching this game on mute in a corner somewhere mumbling shit to myself about smith all night. nervous as ffffffffffffffuck
  13. i predict that i will go home tonight and find the 2 birds in ur avatar in my kitchen making tea and itching to reenact that photo in my bed
  14. Goalability - 9 Powerkickness - 9 Accelarationism - 8 Footbrainience - 8 powerkickness  legend
  15. still think allardyce would have got us somewhere eventually. and certainly would not have had us in this situation we find ourselves in now. im not saying its all down to Keegan that we're in the shit....i just think its several factors, and the players are the number 1 culprits.
  16. aye, smashing. Never mind that the team is in the s**** though, 150k last December FFS (and no, that does not stand for Fat Freddy Shepherd) Hardly going to make a difference given Ashley's wealth and business interests. Charity FFS. the point is that I don't really care if the chairman/owner is a "good bloke" or not, I just want them to back their managers and run good football teams. That is absolutely correct. In my opinion though, MA has shown that he will put his money where his mouth is, when the time is right. Granted we didn't strengthen in January, but that's more a reflection on what players were available for the right prices above all else.
  17. cute HTT i prefer your source than big geordie's
  18. Well...I'm not bothered if he leaves to be honest. I just hope that if he does, we get a juicy fat fee for him. Only reason i want the club to sort out his contract. And thats not based on him being a s*** player. In fact, I'm very positive that if and when he does leave, he will go on to fulfill his potential. He has all the makings of a very good premiership center half, but he will never be that at NUFC no matter how long he stays. Good luck to the boy. Performances have been downright shocking at times this season. His heart's in the right place, but his head needs a good old slap upside the cranium.
  19. is there anything we can do as fans to take this into our own hands? i mean we can't just sit idling by and watch the club go down, or even come close to getting relegated!! I dont particularly give a rat's ass about our squad of players as individuals or personalities. Having said that, it will be up to them whether we stay up or not. Survival will have to depend on them, and I don't like the status quo. I'm wondering....is there anything we can do to help the situation?? Can we get 20 or 30 or 40 thousand signatures to ask the club to open training up to the public? Maybe the daily support of fans will get them going! We can sell whoever we have to sell in the summer. But in the meantime, we need to stick by these players as our fate is in their hands! What else can we do? I really think we should take matters into our own hands, and I believe Newcastle-Online has enough man power and passion to think of something!!! Come on boys and girls....who's with me! Mods, feel free to start a new thread if anything
  20.
