  1. This one is on Bruce 100%! What a fucking embarrassment!
  2. What a crock of shit! Longstaff hasn’t looked anything like the player he was under Rafa and as someone pointed out above, Shelvey is going through a purple patch, and yet some of you still want Longstaff in the side over Shelvey. Makes no sense at all. If Shelvey had been in the side today we’d have looked more dangerous without a doubt. Even if it was just at set pieces because Longstaff’s have been terrible all game.
  3. Anyone who persists with wanting Longstaff in the side over Shelvey, give your fucking heads a good shake. He offers nowhere near what Shelvey does.
  4. It's not that, it's just that regardless of what he does people come in here and slate him and it's ridiculous. The one attribute that separates £10m players from £50m is end product and Shelvey has it. Even the best players can have a shit 80 minutes but when that one chance comes their way they take it and win the game. I've seen Messi marked out of games and then spark into life in a split second and snatch all 3 points. I'm not comparing the two players, but Shelvey has won us games this season on his own. Is he perfect? No, but i'd rather he was in the team for moments like the Man City one, last night's and the freekick against West Ham.
  5. Fuck me, you couldn’t make this shit up! Give the guy the credit he deserves you ridiculous miserable bastards!! ?
  6. That's essentially what clubs would pay for one average PL player. As a manager, Rafa is about as close to a sure thing as you can get. £20m is a bargain!
  7. Most interceptions and tackles out of all of our players and the equalising goal, and people still get on his back. Give it a rest FFS!
  8. Can’t possibly be true mate, he was rank apparently.
  9. Another top performance! The haters are surprisingly quiet today ?
  10. This is exactly the kind of performance I expected from a Steve Bruce-managed Newcastle United. Absolutely fucking clueless! Looks like the honeymoon period is officially over. What a waste of 2 hours of my life!
  11. There’s just so much wrong all over the park that I haven’t got a clue how you sort it out. What exactly is Joelinton? I don’t rate Gayle at this level at all but he’s got to be a better option right now than Joelinton?
  12. I'm not sure about that you know! I mean they might show him towards goal because they know he'll miss but he's that skillful, quick and elusive that i don't think it'll be that easy. Look at Zaha - most of the defenders in the PL have played against him plenty of times and he still skins them. Reece James got the better of him at the weekend but it doesn't happen often. Bournemouth have been good defensively this season and ASM absolutely took the piss. That combination of pace and skill is so hard to get to grips with
  13. He hardly put a fucking tackle in , time and time again he let his man drift past him.Sorry but he is utter shite . Is this really what it’s come to, judging a creative midfielder on how many tackles he made. Fuck me, the game really is dead. Might as well judge our CBs on how many marauding runs they made down the wings and then call them shite when the answer is zero. Lazy shite bastards! It's not the 1970s any more mate, players are a lot fitter and faster. You can't have central midfielders who stroll about and don't close the opposition down. That said, we sit quite deep so we can get away with it more than most. No doubting Shelvey's quality on the ball, but he's usually shit when we don't have it...which is 70% of the time usually. I get that, but take him out of the team and we’re 100% shitter going forward. If we’re going to win games we need creativity in the middle, not just workhorses. For me he should be the first name on the team sheet and we find a way to work around his deficiencies. We’re just so much less potent with him sitting on the bench. As I said in my previous post, since he’s been back in the side we’ve won both games. When Schar’s out of the team I think he’s more important. Fernandez & Clark are decent on the ball but you don’t see them playing the passes that Schar or Lejeune would. I’d keep him in until he’s back but this system with two ball playing centre-backs certainly can produce good football even with two grafters in the middle. It worked absolutely fine last third of last season. You have to remember though, that was under a literal tactical genius. Credit to Bruce because it is due but there’s no doubt everything is a lot simpler, less orchestrated and less complicated under him than Rafa. My worry would be how Bruce would try to work the ball forward from the back, we’d likely end up just banging it long to Joelinton and hope there were players around him. When it comes from the midfield the likes of Almiron and St Maximim are naturally further forward and our attacks are therefore, more dangerous.

So you think it’s ok to just let them waltz passed you? Which he did, and didn’t track the runner, you think it’s ok to be a lazy cunt ? You know what, if he’s going to continue being our only creative player in the middle and keeps making as many chances as he did today, I’ll let him off. I’d love a player that did the dirty work and was as creative as Shelvey but the likelihood of us spending £50m to get one is pretty slim. No coincidence that he’s played the last 2 games and we’ve won them both!

  17. Dummet would've got there Watching it back, it looks like he was blocked/checked by a Bournemouth defender which is why he lost his man.
  18. This has to be a piss take.he was shocking.theived his wages today What on earth do you judge him on?! Pretty much every pass to split Bournemouth’s defence and release our forwards came from Shelvey - left foot, right foot, diagonals, long from the back. Any idea how hard it is to not only conceive the passes he sees but to execute them as well?! If our forwards had scored all of their chances today Shelvey would be sitting on 5-6 assists. Did he not run around enough for you or something?
  19. Brilliant again today. Lost count of the number of top passes he played. Did a job defensively as well.
  20. It'll be a monitoring fund to pay for the TV license and Youtube Premium subscription
  21. Catts for me like That would finally end it for me. \ It would for anyone in their right mind. I'm sure the 40,000 zombies would still find an excuse though.
  22. To be fair, a 1-0 defeat at Chelsea the way they've been playing isn't a bad result. We had a decent first half but whatever Bruce said at half time completely ruined it.
  23. As soon as Gayle is fit, Pigeon Lady will stick him straight into the first team in place of Almiron.

    England

Conor Coady deserves a shot over Lascelles on current form. Both players are better options than Keane though. If Joe Gomez is in the current squad he should be starting ahead of Keane and definitely ahead of Mings.
