I assume it might have something to do with the injuries, but i'm pretty sure it was reported recently that Derby were in financial trouble and have to sell off some of their players to balance the books. He didn't have long left on his contract and he's going to be injured for the majority of it so they get him off the wages and he gets a signing on fee from his next club. Win-win

Coloccini cannot defend against pacey strikers and virtually every team in the Prem has at least one. We need to replace him with someone more suited to the league. Personally, I think every team should be forced to play with at least 5 strikers and no more than two defenders, including the goal keeper. Then there'd be loads of goals and extremely entertaining. Jesus wept. Teams would still get 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss but the bonus point would just encourage teams to be more entertaining.
