  1. ............................Harper Simpson.....Taylor..........Collicini.....Enrique R Taylor......Barton........Guthrie.....Jonas ............Lovenkrands..Ameobi We should piss this league if we can keep everyone fit.
  2. Surely having only 2 CBs in the squad qualifies as an emergency.
  3. he's a huge fat f***er With a massive noggin!
  4. I'd rather we spent £6m on Victor Moses from Palace
  5. There must be some other decent short-arse quick strikers around that we could snap up. I know he might have the ability to do a decent job but I would hate to see Earnshaw playing for us - he's about as Championship as it gets. I'd much rather we signed someone younger who has the potential to develop into a Premier League player.
  6. Dear Merlin..... You usually close to facts but it is wrong the Portsmouth saga is still going on with the owner put the club on sale over a year now. Birmngham was on sale and use to negotiate with this HK bloke for nearly two years. So please lets not put false logic to raise our hopes.... I think the biggest difference between us and the other two clubs you mentioned is that they, if i remeber correctly, have both been run quite astutely, which means that £80m pretty much means £80m. With us you buy the club for £100m knowing you are inheriting the highest wage bill in the championship, a £100m loan and a club that is in no way financially prepared for life in the Championship. We need a major financial restructure or immediate promotion in order to avoid servious problems in the near future - that is a f***ing massive risk for any businessman. If i was buying a club as an investment i'd probably opt for Birmingham City Yup the fire sale at Pompey since January suggests a club that has been run astutley and within its means. Good ol Harry with his wheeling and dealing i'm sure i've heard Alex McLeish say that birmingham have overspent as well Yes, but they're sensible enough to do something about it before it gets ridiculous. They've made decent profits on Defoe, Crouch, Diarra and Utaka so they're probably OK now. They definitely have a much weaker squad than when Arry was managing them but if they can stay in the Prem they'll be alright. Buy 'run well' I mean relative to us - we're still paying for players who haven't played for us for fucking years, we didn't write relegation clauses into half the player's contracts, we paid ridiculous wages for players who were well past their best and we put ourselves on the verge of administration by spending well beyond our means. Birmingham may have overspent based on their own self-imposed financial constraints but they would still be sustainable in the Championship if they came straight back down. A self-sufficient championship club with a loyal fanbase and a decent shot at promotion is a much more attractive proposition than a debt-riddled Premier League underachiever whose only plus points are a big stadium and a fiercely loyal set of supporters.
  7. Everton should offer Fulham £12m for Hangeland - he's better than Taylor and probably Lescott as well.

  9. This is what i think, i doubt theres anyone else. More likely that once again theyre trying to drag a bit more out of him. That or Moat and Ashley are mates & Moat was never intrested in buying. They just used his name to pull out others & push them into upping their bids. The latter seems a bit to clever for Ashley and co though as it would actually require some brain power, so its more likely to be the first. Given that Barry Moat is a diehard Newcastle United fan, I doubt he'd get himself involved in shit like that with Mike Ashley.
  10. did he f***. Carroll's hold up play was superb and his defending at set pieces was flawless. Problem is he needs a mobile striker playing off him in order to flourish. Even so, he's a handful for any defender and he'll only get better.
  11. Fuck it, if we're going to perform like that every game with a depleted squad then I can think of worse options than sticking with Hughton.
  12. Looks like he might have done his metatarsal again. He mouthed to the referee 'i've broken my foot' and then to the physio 'i think it's broken'.
  13. On loan at Wigan this season. Fucksticks!!
  14. Darren Gibson - Man Utd Danny Wellbeck- Man Utd Scott Sinclair - Chelski
  15. If I could be certain we were going to sign some players to fill the huge voids in the squad I'd say snap their hands off. Duff has been totally ineffective for a long time, and has looked a shadow of his former self from the moment he joined the club. There's a chance he could do a job in the Championship but we desperately need pace on the wings, and Duff doesn't provide that.
  16. Mauritz Volz on a free now please, that should soften the blow.
  17. Regardless of what happens I can't fucking wait for Derek Lambias to piss off once and for all. I think I actually hate him more than I hate Mike Ashley.
  18. Cracking fee That's a brilliant price for a 34 year old!
  19. That said, I can see him being one of our better players this coming season.
  20. If it is shepherd's consortium that are still involved in negotiations it may explain Ashley's dithering and lack of communication. Ashley and Shepherd aren't exactly the best of friends and it may be Ashley's attempt at getting his own back on Shepherd for supposedly hiding club debts during the takeover. Would it surprise anyone if Ashley was trying to run down time in the transfer window before accepting Shepherd's offer? He strikes me as exactly that type of spiteful, childish cunt! Just speculation mind....
  21. Imagine if someone offered you double what you worth per year to do your job and didn't write any contingency into your contract in case you were crap at your job. Then a year later the company ask you to accept a 50% pay cut because you hadn't performed as well as they wanted you to. Would you? I know I bloody wouldn't and why should I. If the company are stupid enough to offer to offer me that salary in the first place then whose fault is it? If it were you or I (someone with a genuine love, feeling and general concern for the well-being of Newcastle United) playing for the club then perhaps we'd be prepared to take a pay cut, but the majority of these players are just people being paid to do a job by a company that was stupid enough to offer them more than they were worth and not write relegation clauses into their contracts. They don't look at the situation like we do.
  22. I think it's difficult to tar them all with the same brush. Those players that expressed a desire to leave the moment our relegation was confirmed can go and fuck themselves. It's these spineless pricks that cost us our Premier League status in the first place so IMO they should at least show a bit of remorse Those players that now want to leave the club because of the circus that has ensued since our relegation, due to Mike Ashley's gross incompetence, I have some sympathy for. Beye comes into this category - originally he said he would stay to help us get promoted again but he's obviously become pissed off with the uncertainty, and who can blame him. The group of players who have said they will stay regardless of the situation deserve a round of applause if you ask me because our current plight is enough to turn even most loyal players against the club. Whether they are staying out of a desire to put last season's wrongs right, a blind love of the club, money, or simply because they realise they are not good enough for the premier league doesn't bother me. They could probably all jump ship to a more stable environment but they're choosing to stay so good on them.
