  1. No and no. Appiah has serious need trouble. If he didn't he'd most likely still be turning out in Turin. Trialling at Tottenham anyway. Christ knows why he'd sign for us over them. Because they have about 10 CMs already whereas we only have 4 (one of which is 34 and really shit) and we're higher up the league - there's 2 reasons for starters.
  2. I still think he's done a decent job under the circumstances. It's a bit early to be offering him longer contracts though, let's see which league we're in at the end of the season first.
  3. An injured Finnan is still better than a fully fit Edgar or Taylor stupid How so? The injury is obviously not stopping him playing so he'd be available for selection, in which case (given his obvious ability as a footballer) he would indeed be a better option than Taylor or Edgar....

    Allardyce!

I reckon it was Ferguson who ruined him as a player. He was a pretty decent striker when he went to Man Utd but Fergy decided to make him into a defensive midfielder. Now he's just shit at everything!

    Allardyce!

A big team involved in the UEFA cup is worth a lot more than a big team in a relegation scrap, not least because of the stability it offers from an investment perspective. I reckon another £20m invested in the team and Keegan still at the helm would've got us pretty close to UEFA qualification this season. That makes us a much more attractive proposition for potential buyers. As it is, we're miles off!

    Allardyce!

What a fucking prick! Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has told Newcastle United's boo-boys to take a reality check. Ahead of this weekend's game, Allardyce said: “My question is why should I get any stick? “Newcastle had 26 points when I was sacked and we were 11th. “There seems to be a perception put about that I did a bad job — even though, in our first 10 games, we had the best start for a decade. “If you look at Kevin’s and Joe’s record I think mine stands up against theirs.” Big Sam added: “I’ve got no regrets about going to Newcastle. It was the right club at the wrong time. I couldn’t look into the future and see what was going to happen, nobody could. “I thought it was going to be a big chance to spend big money but it didn’t turn out to be the case. My time there was not a disaster like some people make it out to be. The first 10 games were a big big bonus for me. It was a really good achievement. “I had changed the vast majority of the playing and the backroom staff. And those backroom people are all still employed throughout the leagues, many in the Premier League. “They are very good at what they do. I chose the right staff for Newcastle and I don’t think I have to justify myself.” Allardyce also revealed: “I’m not sure I’m as badly thought of up there as a lot of people claim, though. “When we went to Blyth, which is just north of Newcastle, for our FA Cup tie I was told I was going to get it and I’ve never signed so many autographs and posed for so many photos. “There was the odd one shouting “you fat *******” but I get that wherever I go!”
  9. You only have to look at our CB's to see that you can get s**** (Colo) for huge £££'s & a good centre back for less than £2 million (Bassong). But the clubs that win stuff show you have to spend big to compete. thats it in a nutshell. So difficult to comprehend for some, but so basic. The only team in the top 5 who have 2 proven world class centre half parnterships before they were signed were Chelsea with Carvhallo and Terry, what does that say about spending big to compete? Liverpool Carragher Hyypia Man U Ferdinand Vidic Chelsea Terry Carvahllo/Alex Arsenal Gallas Toure Villa Laursen Davies Stop turning this winning lark into such a simple equation its not. Sure it helps, but the evidence suggests that it helps as much as being frugal with your money and finding your gems. The real key is finding the rght manager to put it all together, something we've failed to do now for 5 years. As for Colo "being s***" i beg to differ, he's had some very iffy moments ill give but he's definitely not allowed his value to slip. I'm not sure where you found that Spence quote, but he;s done it again, well done Spence, you've managed to write so much but so little in a post yet again, in fact you've even managed to contradict yourself in the same sentence. Thats no mean feat. Spending big = success, good players but in the very same sentence Spending big on Colo = s*** player. Make up your mind. So Chelsea, Manu, Liverpool have spent all that money when there has been no need to ? Do you think their managers will be sacked for their gross incompetence ? Nope but they've got into a position where they can look to spend big money. If we went out and spent £30m on a centre half right now, id go apoplectic. Do you know why? If you read my post you'll see that i said that being frugal and searching for the gems is equally important as buying big. Bolded in case you miss it the second time round. Do you disagree with that? you've changed your stance somewhat. I actually havent, but you have by the looks of this post. What is it you think I've changed? just before the January window last year you insisted the club shouldn't be wasting any money buying players because you were happy with where they were in the league. Fucking hell, how good is you memory!
  10. Man that life jacket, he was almost twice the size Mos def! I literally finished episode 5 of season two about 10 minutes ago, just thought i'd check in here before bed. What series are you on? Seen them all mate I was recommended it by some friends who have just finished the lot. They're gutted though, they don't know what to do with themselves.

  12. Then why do the likes of KK, Capello, Wenger and Ferguson always bleat on about confidence? Aye, Owen scored at the weekend. What happenned? we f***ed it up. Not going to do his confidence good one iota. And its not just about confidence in ones own ability, it is about confidence in the team, and if Owen doesn't have confidence in his team mates, he is not going to have the full mentality to consistently put the ball in the back of the net. He was 1 on 1 with the keeper at one point, how does he not score given the quality he possesses? A ball is sailing to him, falling to his head perfectly, all he has to do is get it on target, again given his quality how does he not score? It has nothing to do with his confidence in his team mates. Like I already said, those were easy chances and confidence doesnt eradicate quality, he should have scored tonight, he had 2 good chances to do it and took neither. The team f***ing up at the weekend is irrelevant to Owen's confidence as a goal scorer, he scored and that does well for his confidence. "The Bunk don't swim!" Halfway through season two dude!
  13. Fucking didums! He's a Newcastle United player and gets paid well for being so. He should keep his little faggoty gob shut. If he wants to leave he should hand in an official transfer request instead of shouting his mouth off to any reporter who'll listen.
  14. He's probably being sold to fund the loan fees for these two mystery players

  17. Ah, that explains my desire to punch her in the face. Before or after.....?
  18. She looks a bit like Christiano Ronaldo - i'd definitely fuck her!
