    Players in public

Sat next to Mido in a restaurant the other day. He was with his wife (fit) and his little girl. Seemed like a nice fella but he's a right fat cunt!
  2. We've had a glimpse of what this team can do finally. The doubts about Keegan have been allayed. We're almost certainly staying up. I don't think we're getting carried away. No-one's mentioned top four next season yet (have they?) Who'd have though that a team without Milner, N'Zogbia, Duff and Emre could be the answer. Sell them all and buy more strikers!
  3. Yes, but surely no-one will pay that. He's probably worth £10m based on his age, undoubted talent and the position he plays in. I doubt Birmingham would be prepared to pay even that amount for him (if they stay up) so he'll almost certainly be up for grabs.
  4. Anyone starting to come round to the idea of Mauro Zarate yet?
  5. Surely Kev wouldn't be stupid enough to sign Dawson after watching him first-hand yesterday.
  6. If we sign Wes Brown i'll cry - properly cry. He's fucking useless!
  7. I think this 4 players thing is bollocks. I reckon he'll be after 4-5 immediate first team players and another 2-3 first team squad players. Then there's the possibility of having to replace players who will be shipped out (and let's be honest there's quite a few of them). We could be looking at a very busy summer. I reckon he'll be looking to ship out: Carr Cacapa Duff Geremi Ameobi Smith or Viduka
  8. Fair enough i'll accept that Jaskelainen wasn't the best pick. How about Cudicini? Any complaints?
  9. He's a lot more than a pace merchant. Before he moved to Arsenal from Southampton he was awesome - some of the goals he scored were top drawer. Problem is he's faltered since he went to Arsenal. Probably something to do with being played on the wing, pressure of playing for a top four premiership team, pressure of a big price tag etc. Even so,he's done enough to earn a call up into the national team so he can't be doing too badly.
  10. Jussi has exactly the same weaknesses as Given and is having a bad season, bizarre choice. Same goes for Walcott who has shown nothing at Arsenal. Yeah, i doubt having the two quickest players in the Premier League up front would have any effect at all. Scrap that idea! Bollocks to what. Let's just hire a couple of Olympic sprinters instead. ?

  12. Really? If I was a Newcastle fan, I'd have a fit Ashton in the team ahead of any of your strikers bar Martins. I would have thought the only question mark is his ability to stay fit, not his ability in general. well, maybe he's better than Viduka, cause he's younger and more physical.. but i've developed an irrational disliking for bleached footballers, which may cloud my judgment.. oh and Koumas Koumas, he's world class man - better than Ronaldinho! Same goes for Jimmy Bullard.
  13. I'd be more than happy with this: ...........................Jaskelainen Beye...............Faye............Heitinga.................Bridge ..........Bentley...Huddlestone...Drenthe ...........Walcott......Ashton.....Martins Can't see it happening though.
  14. Why do people go on about Koumas like he's world class FFS! The guy is an above average Championship player and a shit Premiership player. What's the deal? I'd be gutted if that's the standard of player we're looking to sign. While we're at it let's sign Robert Earnshaw, Adi Akinbiyi, Martin Taylor, Lee Hendrie and Michael Duberry - they're all fucking class!
  15. What a load of shit. Nothing positive to take from that aside from a reasonable Hargreaves performance. Ashley Cole is a shadow of the player he once was. Get Bridge in there until Cole gets his fucking head out of his arse. And finally surprise surprise, only a fifteen second (if that) mention of John Terry's shocking defending for the France goal. Lost his man completely and just gave up- top defending JT. Fucking southern media wankers!

    Barry Silkman

    Is that you Willie?
  17. Would you want to live in the south?
  18. It's more northern than London.
  19. He's not an automatic first choice at Spurs, Ramos will almost certainly be bringing his own players in this summer, he's a northern lad. Who knows? Maybe none of this matters to him and he wants to stay at Spurs forever, but if you don't ask you don't get.
  20. Perhaps, but maybe Owen has actually realised that he's not the player he used to be. His game used to rely on pace and technique. Since he's lost much of the former he has to rely more on the latter. It's very commendable on his part that he's happy to give it a go.
  21. Surely it tells players that we're a serious club that won't offer someone a new contract based on his reputation.
  22. I'm still undecided. He's looked better in the last two games but I reckon we should see what he does between now and the end of the season before making a decision. If we're going to continue with this formation i'd rather we got rid and brought in Walcott to replace him.
  23. agreed! he didn't do anything against us Zarate is 21, has come from the Qatar League and has only had a couple of starts for Birmingham. He's nowhere near adjusted to the pace, style and physicality of the Premier League yet. Anyone who has written the guy off already is just being stupid. Tevez was rubbish for about 6 months when he started playing in the Premier League, and i'm sure plenty of people wrote him off then, but look at the fella now. I've been impressed with what i've seen of Zarate so far and i reckon he'll make a major impact in this league in the future (if he stays)
  24. I fella my dad knows (former player based in Scotland) who has links with the club reckons we already have deals in place for 4 Scottish players. Now i know the usual wankers will shoot this one down but i have no reason to doubt this source at all - he has nothing to gain from lying. Would seem to tie in with transfer rumours already circulating
  25. I thought Vetere, Wise and Jimenez were brought in to identify talent for the future. WTF?
