Smith. No competition! As long as he's here there's a danger that he'll play.
-
Martins, Viduka and Owen will rip them apart. I'm more confident about this one than i have been about any other game this season. Strange that it's coincided with Smith being dropped
-
Look, the fact is our central midfielders are shite. We've known it since about 5 games into the season and nothing has changed since. Butt is passed it, Emre is inconsistent, lightweight and injury prone, Barton is awful in every way possible and Geremi needs someone to do his running for him, although i'd still have him in the team before any of the other three. It's pointless disecting their performance after every game because it will always be the same - rubbish! We stopped the rot tonight. We've picked up a valuable point away from home against a resurgent team and their was no sign of Alan Smith - Major positives as far as i'm concerned. Oh, and Martins is a fucking hero! Our most dangerous player by a country mile.
-
With the exceptions of Roeder and Souness i thought all the managers we employed were the right choice at the time, even Gullit.
-
I still reckon Kluivert could've been a legend here if it wasn't for Graham Fcuking Souness!

???? The same Cygan who was absolute toss for Arsenal. No ta!

Nothing wrong in setting up a transferdeal before the window opens, actually that's what's been bugging me for years. Alot of clubs tie up players long before the stressful window opens, while it seems like our latest managers havn't even begun looking at players before the window opens. Hope there is some truth in these rumours. Don't get me wrong, i'll be chuffed to bits if it's true. We've been stumbling our way through transfer windows for far too long, but talk of a concrete bid seems a little premature.
-
To be fair to Keegan he's had a shit run of fixtures to try and halt our slight in. Bolton, Arsenal, Arsenal, Boro, Villa, ManUre, Blackburn and Liverpool. We picked up points against the two teams we should've done, were desperately unlucky against Blackburn and the rest are given defeats anyway. Birmingham and Fulham in consecutive matches is the easiest back-to-back fixtures we've had for about 3 months so we should pick up at least 4 points.
-
£9m bid already made according to Tribalfootball. Seems a little odd given that the transfer window is shut.

There's a third group of players you're missing out entirely - young up-and-coming players who are desperate to prove themselves and have yet to be corrupted by Premier League greed. I hope to god our new scouting network can unearth a few undiscovered gems who are desperate to prove themselves at a higher level or to break into their national team. These are the kind of players who will turn us around, not the Decos, Campbells, Van der Vaarts etc. who will come here as johnny big balls with nothing to prove. In addition to creating a team full of drive and hunger we might also be able to develop a few players who can be sold for a profit (when they inevitably do become too big for their boots).

Did you see Diatta play? Not much, but he cannot be any worse that what we have,.. i agree with this Did no-one see his complete capitulation when Besiktas lost 8-0 to Manchester United this season? Was he solely responsible for Besiktas shipping 8 goals or did his team mates have something to do with it as well?
-
Got asked by my mate who's a Brum fan if i wanted to go to the match with him and sit in the Home end. Not fucking likely! I'm playing 5-a-side instead and i'll find out the result when i get in the car afterwards. Twitchy ping-tastic!

Saw Farfan play last night for the first time and wasn't all that impressed. Zarate is a player worth watching. I've seen him play a couple of times now, and although he hasn't adapted to the pace and rigours of the Premier League yet he looks like he could be very good in the future. He is exactly what we're missing at the moment - a young, pacy, skillful attacker who runs at defenders and can open doors. If Brum go down we should snap him up before bigger teams start sniffing
-
Viduka's ability to hold up the ball combined with Martins' blistering pace would cause more problems for a defence than Alan Smith's 100% work rate. He's garbage, absolute garbage. A striker who doesn't score goals is a shit striker!
-
The biggest factor here is that Strikers are paid to score goals. We are in a relegation scrap and desperately need goals. The only first team striker on our books who hasn't scored a goal for the club, and more worrying hasn't looked like scoring a goal, is Alan Smith. Martins, Viduka, Ameobi and probably Carroll are more likely to get us the goals we need. I couldn't give a flying fuck about defending from the front. Where has that got us so far? Smith might offer something but it's nothing we need at the moment. Drop him for good or we're going down.
-
We should be picking up points from the Birmingham, Fulham, Reading and Mackem games regardless of home or away. Derby, Fulham and Bolton for me
-
I'd play this: ..........................Harper Beye.....Cacapa...........Faye.......Enrique Geremi....Milner........Butt.........N'Zogbia ...............Viduka......Martins Keegan will play this: ......................Harper Beye.......Taylor....Faye.......Enrique Milner......Butt......Barton.....Duff ..............Owen....Smith I predict a 2-2 draw, with Alan Smith doing absolutely fuck all throughout the game and Nicky Butt surrendering possession to the opposition on at least 10 occasions.

Young CB called Micheal Mancienne currently playing for QPR (on loan from Chelsea) looked outstanding the other night. He's theirs until the end of the season then back to Chelsea presumably. Ok, it's only one game but he was a real class act.
-
He won't! We all know he needs to start every game but King Kev will continue his love-in with Alan (prolific) Smith
-
Pessimistic i'm afraid. Until recently i still felt we were able to pull ourselves out of the shit but i've lost all faith now. I'm also ashamed to say i've lost faith in Keegan to an extent. His team selections are baffling, and i think they might be responsible for getting us relegated. No goals, no defence, no fight, no pace, no belief, no hope!
-
Because it's fucking hilarious Killjoy. What a daft question.
-
I've seen him play loads and he's absolutely class. He'll take the Premier League by storm.
-
Just a shame it isn't a real sport. Why? http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/38/386129.jpg He can barely move around the court but could become one the most effective basketball players ever, simply because he is 7'7" tall. Holy sheeet, it's big foot!
