Why play a right back as a centre back when we've got 3 (possibly 4 if Roz can redeem himself) decent centre backs already?

I don't really understand this if it's true. What would make Keegan identify that one of our priorities is a new right back after only a week and a half at the club, and having not yet seen Beye play? I could understand if Chimbonda was 20-25 years old but he's the same age as Beye and more importantly not as good.

We don't need a CB either. We've got 4 already and a right back who can play there in emergencies. We need central midfielders, a ring winger and a left back

He said something about it in an interview this week. Something about maybe having to bring in players who are perceived to be 'problem players'. I'll have a look for the quote.

Do you think this is what Keegan meant when he said we might have to sign 'problem players'? He's a decent player but we don't need him.
  6. I thought about Heskey as well. Him and Beckham were the two names that popped into my head straight away.

He should've told her to get fucked then. Plenty more fish in the sea
  8. I think Bruce has just signed him for Wigan hasn't he?
  9. It was either Walter Pandiani or that Figuera fella
  10. Now Keegan's here i don't see Taylor being dropped. Geordie lad who's come through the academy - he's pretty much nailed on to be a starter. IMO we don't need any more CBs. We need a backup Left back, some decent midfielders and possibly a striker.
  11. Defoe, Crouch, Bent? There's a few available options
  12. £7m in the summer maybe, but the January transfer window is silly season. We have to accept that we'll be paying over the odds for anyone.
  13. I'm bored of waiting now. Just hurry the fuck up!
  14. What the hell were they thinking in the mid 1880s?!
  15. Getting rid of Woodgate was one of the best pieces of business we've done. He's a perma-crock. Don't want him back.
  16. Surely the left-footed Carr was Babayaro?
  17. Mind you there's nothing worse than a cockney Man U fan. I used to work with this right wanker from Watford who was a ManUre season ticket holder. I'd rather cheese grater my own bellend than talk football with him. Prize cunt!
  18. I've only ever met one Spurs fan that i like and he was from Portsmouth. Every other Spurs fan i've met has been a fucking tool. I actually enjoy watching them play and i like some of their players but their fans are a waste of skin.
  19. Fat Sam's reign as manager has shattered the confidence of Roz and Martins, and probably a few others as well. Rozenhal comes to a new league in a new country, into a team with a shite midfield who invite attack after attack after attack onto the defence. He made some mistakes but none of them were as bad as the clangers Cacapa dropped and he's managed to redeem himself in the last two games. Things will be very different under Keegan for all the players and I fully expect Roz to bounce back.
  20. They've been told to do it the Fat Sam way for 7-8 months. Keegan had 2 days to show them his way. The attacking intent and ball retention were infinitely better but we had 3 wingers and a CB in midfield so we were never going to be great. I think we'll start looking the part after a couple of weeks, and when Emre returns to the midfield.
  21. I just think Fergie might have bought himself into a team selection headache. Anderson is obviously ready for the first team a lot quicker than he expected which means he has to choose from: Fletcher Scholes Giggs Ronaldo Anderson Carrick Nani Hargreaves For 4 midfield slots (have i missed someone out?). He's obviously bought players now to replace Giggs and Scholes when they retire but they've both got a couple of years left, so the question is can he keep them all happy?
  22. £10m + Ameobi. That would value Ashton at about £12.5m!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS!
  23. Rather have Crouch. Just as good in the air, better on the floor, good injury record, similar price tag. I like Ashton as a player but it's a no-brainer for me.
