  1. Sounds like everything is agreed in principle and the only stumbling block is the FA & PL approval. Given some of the absolute whoppers that have been granted permission to own Premier League clubs you'd think this would be something of a formality? Could there be some sort of investigation into the family ties of the BZG group? ie. making sure they're not closely related to other owners of PL clubs?
  2. I didn't even listen that far! Did he seriously say that?! Fuck me!
  3. What is it with all these turncoat cunts! To an extent i can understand Keys, Wise and Jordan kissing Ashley's arse - they've never had any integrity or credibility, but people like Nolan doing it (a man who Ashley forced out of the club) is absolutely unforgivable.
  4. If I was arsed about this club at all, which i'm not of course, this one would sting far more than the Perez one for me.
  5. If it's literally a case of the match, the pub or shopping with the wife, you have to question people's lack of imagination
  6. I'm pretty certain Ashley had no intention of keeping Rafa. Ashley doesn't change and he doesn't budge - it's a case of do what he says and don't kick up a fuss or jog on. Rafa was too popular, had too much power and held too many cards. That was never going to work for the fat man.
  7. Maybe why they're apparently targeting Martinez?
  8. With the alternatives we know are floating around at the moment, i'd snap your hand off for Martinez right now. Martinez or Allardyce, Pardew, Monk, Hughes, Sherwood etc.?
  9. Perez doesn’t have to go - he can wait a few weeks to see what happens (but with Rafa going he wasn’t staying - fair play to him) Perez has been at the club long enough to see the shit that goes down under Ashley. He can get a better contract elsewhere and a guarantee of playing for a club that wants to compete. I don't think this is confirmation of no takeover, but admittedly it looks less likely. Perez's stock is high right now so he can command a premium in terms of wages. The uncertainty of next season could take that opportunity away so takeover or not i can understand why he'd want to move now.

    Rafa Benítez

Fucking heartbreaking reading that. What a shower of shit this club is

He wants to spend more time with his family. Maybe two years in China will mean he can retire and do exactly that.
  12. The line spacing on that first message is off by a mile. Not biting! The bottom one is a lot more convincing Also 'Rafa never left because of us' sounds like a Geordie, not a guy from the Middle East - "Rafa didn't leave because of us'

The 50,000 that pay to go into the stadium every fortnight are the visible and major part of the problem because they continue to fund the Ashley regime. There may be 2 million of us fans who won't put any money into the club but the 50,000 sheep are the ones Ashley knows he can rip the piss out of and they will continue to bankroll him. Meanwhile our live broadcast games show a full stadium and that keep the pressure from truly piling on. What the Rangers guys are saying in their statement is that they banded together to deal with the problem. Forget the semantics of the statement, underlying arrogance or timings of their action. When it came down to it they all came together to deal with the problem and made it so uncomfortable for Ashley that he moved on (to a degree). That's what i get when i read that statement. I don't give a fuck what Rangers think they are or what level they play at, they did something that we won't do and it worked. They can see that we're not prepared to do the same and are commenting on it. I don't see the problem.

Exactly, I don't mind us criticizing our fans but they can get to fuck imo Fuck me, we are beyond help!

I think you're concentrating on the wrong part of that quote tbh. You could quite easily swap out the wording used to describe the clubs but what he's saying about the difference between them and us could not be more spot on

No they are not like us, they accept an owner who is using their club as a vessel to sell sports goods! In our times of trouble we rallied together against the spivs, thats why we are an Institution and NUFC are a football club. Summed up pretty well
  17. ......will be welcomed with open arms by the 'support the team, not the regime' sheep.
  18. This is the bit that baffles me. Me and most of my uni mates got started on more than once in Newcastle for looking at a person, and sometimes not even for doing that. And yet Ashley can bend the same radgies over and dry bum them into next week time after time after time and they just take it. In fact, it's almost as if some of them enjoy it......
  19. Let's just carry on as we are lads, it's work a treat so far..

I'm over it already. Not in the slightest bit surprised and it means i can now go back to my pre-Rafa state of apathy and get the fuck on with my life.

One of the most heartbreaking scenes was this cunt and Ashley sat laughing in the Director's box after the last protest and 50,000 sheep around them doing absolutely nothing. I'm not advocating violence but what West Ham's supporters did certainly had an impact and they couldn't get anywhere near as close as we can. These fuckers should fear for their safety every time they step foot in the stadium, even if nothing ever actually happens.

........and yet we all know there'll be 50,000 mugs in the stadium at the first home game of the season.
  23. We've all thought/known that whenever Ashley finally leaves there will be a final 'fuck you' as a parting shot. Let's just hope to God this is it. I'd take Rafa leaving if it meant we could have our club back.
