Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)
steve_69 replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
This is Rafa's instructions to him. When he first came he would often release it early. It was a real breathe of fresh air, and potentially an overlooked aspect of our upturn in form last Feb. It's definitely been knocked out of him now mind. I'm guessing its coincided with Shelvey being out of the team. He was the guy that was always there to collect the quick release -
How much do proper private investigators cost? It's got to be worth clubbing together to try and get some proper dirt on the fat mess. We don't have to blackmail him with it, just release it to the tabloids to make his life a misery. Cheaper than a hitman.....

Should've gone down when the wanker Bennett crashed into him in the box, and would've been completely justified. Of course, knowing our luck, the ref wouldn't have given us a pen I was actually going to include that in my post - it's the one fucking time he should've gone down and decided to be the tough guy.

Funny how he's started performing since everyone's been giving him shit though. I don't agree with booing players at all but the criticism he was getting from other quarters was fully justified. I'm pleased his form has picked up and if it makes him happy to do his shit little celebration then he should fill his boots, as long as he keeps playing well, continues to stay on his feet and stops fucking whingeing i've got no problem with it.

My mate is adamant that shelvey is leaving this month. That’s what I’ve heard also. They’re all for sale for the right price but Shelvey hasn’t even been getting a sniff when he is fit. I wouldn’t miss him to be honest. Great passer but he doesn’t boss a midfield at all, except on a blue moon like he did against Man Utd last season. Never looks like scoring despite having all the tools to do so regularly. Just something missing from the lad (apart from brain cells) Shelvey was one of the key reasons we did as well as we did last season. We have absolutely zero creativity in the side when he doesn't play and seeing as it looks like we're not getting any new players any time soon, he'd be the first name on the team sheet every game for me. Midfield 3 of Shelvey and Ki with Diame sitting behind them and we might actually have a chance of competing in midfield with some teams. If Rafa wants to go ultra cautious and cover Shelvey's lack of tracking, play Diame and Hayden/Schar in holding roles and let Shelvey play further forward. We can't afford to have a player with his ability sat on the bench when the alternatives are so ordinary. I’m struggling to remember when he last turned a game for us, we look infinitely better with Ki in his place. I once thought we couldn’t do without him, now I’m glad when he doesn’t play, that said because Ki is away we need need him now but not in the future, if we have one. Was it the last PL game he came on with his 3rd touch hit a perfect through ball for Perez to run onto? Our biggest problem is we don't have players to finish off the quality he provides. At least when Gayle was here Shelvey had a willing runner with the strength to retain possession. With our current forward options we're gutless. Shelvey's passing is world class. I'm not saying he's world class by any stretch but that one attribute of his game is. We struggle to hold onto possession, struggle to create and have absolutely zero chance of unlocking a PL defence without him in the side. How many of our goals have come from set pieces this season? Ki has looked excellent but he doesn't give us what Shelvey can in terms of creativity.

That cunt tubes is such a detestable cunt. Anyone who thinks soccer am is even half decent after lovejoy left needs certified to be honest. I seen it for first time in years a few weeks ago and my fucking god its trash of the highest order I quite like Jimmy Bullard's bits on the show to be honest. The rest of it can suck a dick

It isn't though, the ones doing it are plebs. It is totally justified IMO. Fair enough players go through periods of poor form but for the past few months Perez has not only been shit but he has also taken to flinging himself on the ground at every opportunity, moaning at refs, consistently running himself into blind corners before losing the ball and generally looking like he doesn't know what the fuck he is doing. Funnily enough, since he stopped doing a lot of that shit his form seems to have picked up. If you boo and criticise a player who is in poor form that's not cool. If you let a player know that his stupid actions are costing the team I don't think people should have a problem with that.

There must be something going round this month, half the professional football world seems to be intent on making prize twats of themselves.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all Ferdinand gets the sack after his bullshit yesterday. He’s proven how easily he can be bought and that he’s prepared to use BT’s stage to do the bidding of his business partners. BT won’t like that one bit.
-
He's such a contrast to the miserable, penny pinching humility-less set of cunts running this horror show. A true gent who deserves far far better.
-
This reeks of more ITK bullshit to me but I’ll humour you and say that literally anything at this point is preferable to Mike Ashley.
-
Looked surprised and pissed off when he got subbed. What a fucking joker!
-
I’m actually starting to feel a bit sorry for him. He’s so clearly out of his depth at this level and he knows it.
-
Doing his best to look like the worst player on the pitch versus Championship opposition. I don’t think it’s a confidence thing with this lad now, he’s just nowhere near good enough
-
Am i being really thick here - I couldn't see the bit in bold mentioned anywhere in the article?! To be fair the formatting is AIDS for the eyes so maybe i just missed it

End product costs decent money.

It depends what you hear doesn’t it?! I’ve heard from a good source that part of the process is underway. Problem is it’s only part of the process and there are lots of parts - plenty of opportunity left for spanners in the works. It proves to me that there’s some truth in all of this but I’m still skeptical that anything will happen because Ashley is a proven cunt! If I’d heard from the same source that the takeover was signed and sealed then there would be no ‘i’ll Believe it when I see it’
-
I’ve been back up in the area today and I’ve heard a couple of things, one of which has come directly from someone at the club. I know, I know, everyone’s an ITK!! I’m not at all and never have been but I know someone who has a bit of first hand info and I saw them today. The one thing I can say with a good degree of certainty is that the takeover situation isn’t made up bullshit, the process is underway and things are definitely happening behind the scenes. However, as always that doesn’t mean Ashley will actually go through with it.

Put a club legend's name over the top of each one. Change them to Sports Redirect signs and see how long it takes him to notice
-
Fullbacks are the modern day wingers though, so it's not easy to pick up a good one for peanuts. Liverpool did exceptionally well to get Robertson for £8m - he's probably a £50m player now. I'm sure it's possible to get better than Manquillo for £4-5m but not much better

I pity those poor bastards who haven't been on the forum all day and see there are 4 new pages on this thread, only to have their excitement crushed
