    Rafa Benítez

He's over there as he burnt his career to the ground and no one else would touch him. Plenty of people have made comebacks after seemingly committing career suicide. The fact that there's still no media outlet in the UK that will him tells you everything you need to know. Even Talkshite won't touch him and they regularly scrape the barrel
  2. You're wasting your time Keith, no one's buying your pro-Ashley bullshit. I can't wait to see who they wheel out next.
  3. To be fair i've never been a season ticket holder but i just don't get the blind loyalty, can't live without the match attitude. It's short term loss for long-term gain. Right now we support a team that is perpetually treading water and deliberately being held back by the man who should be pushing for success more than any other. There is literally nothing to look forward to at this club. On the not-too-distant horizon is another Pardew-esque, 'yes-man' era because the majority refused to stand up and do something to try and keep our current world class manager. Rafa and the players would completely understand the reason for the empty stands and would probably support our actions because they know as well as we do what is going on. If it doesn't work, there's nothing lost but at least we can all say we tried. No one is saying don't ever go to the game again, but if you can't sacrifice one season for the greater good then you deserve everything Ashley dishes out.

I genuinely think that could be the worst article i've ever read about us. It's Trump-esque in its blatant disregard for the truth.

What a surprise from Ashley's favourite mouthpiece.
  6. Are you being serious? I think the hashtag solves that mystery. I didn't know which way he was going. I haven't seen any cunts on Twitter and Facebook, everyone seems to be united in their hatred of Ashley
  7. So for those of you who won't stop going to the games, what would be your breaking point? Ashley has systematically destroyed everything enjoyable about supporting NUFC. What does the guy have to do for you to say enough is enough? If treating Keegan and Rafa the way he has, consistently lying to the press, fans, players and managers, neglecting the development of the academy, hiring Joe Kinnear twice, adding £100m to the price of the club when it looked like there was a chance of someone actually wanting to buy us, renaming the club, significantly reducing our commercial income, agreeing a sponsorship deal with fucking Wonga and splashing his shite brand all over the stadium without paying a penny isn't enough, what is? I get the whole support the team, not the regime thing but when you know you're watching a team that will never do more than exist and will be held back by the owner if it ever looks like succeeding it defeats the object of supporting that team. What's to support?
  8. I get the point, but Pardew was handed an 8 year contract after taking us 5th and winning manager of the season award. Nobody was complaining at the time. Let's stick to facts and not re-invent the past. There was plenty of contempt towards Pardew before he fluked his way to the 5th place finish.
  9. Chris Hughton - widely loved by the fans, gave us hope and raised expectations - sacked Keegan - universally loved, gave us hope and raised expectations - undermined and forced out Rafa - universally loved, gives us hope and raised expectations - being undermined and forced out Pardew - snivelling failure, hated by most of the fans - given an 8 year contract Ashley's decisions are calculated and designed to inflict misery on us, probably because large sections of our fans repeatedly call him a fat cockney rapist. This will never ever change. Its been happening for 10 years and it will always be the case under Ashley because he's a petty little cunt.
  10. A song for him would be easy at least. Is he a winger? Aren't we a bit overstocked with them? Isn't that what some people said when we signed Kenedy first time around? The obvious response is "We didn't have Kenedy back then" surely? I don't understand what you mean? When we were signing Kenedy there lots of people on here saying 'we've already got Ritchie, Atsu, Aarons and Murphy, why do we need another winger?'. Then Kenedy came in and transformed us almost singlehandedly. It seems that Rafa doesn't think Atsu is good enough, Aarons isn't his cup of tea and Murphy still has a way to go. That only leaves us with Kenedy and Ritchie. In terms of sheer numbers we're well stocked but not in terms of quality. Yeah, which at any other club makes sense. However, we don't actively try to improve the first team. There's no way the club sanctions a move for another winger when we've just signed Kenedy imo. * Unless he has a release fee and we can sell him for massive profit in January. Ah, i get you. Maybe he's an Atsu, Aarons or Ritchie replacement

  13. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I struggle to think of a worse CB that's played for us over the past 15-20 years. Worse than: Marcelino Frank Dumas David Beharall Titus Bramble Steve Caldwell Gary Caldwell Jean Alain Boumsong Oguchi Onyewu Paul Huntington David Rozenhal Cacapa Tamas Kadar Peter Ramage David Edgar Zurab Khizanishvilli Fitz Hall Sol Campbell Grant Hanley If you think he is the worst centre half than all of the above then yeah we will have to agree to disagree. Remember, we got to see Mike Williamson in all his glory as a regular starter over a number of seasons. Most of the guys you have listed above were bit-part players who didn't play often enough to make a fair judgement on. Did Gary Caldwell even make a first team appearance for us? Zurab Khizanishvilli made only a handful, same with the Gooch. Of our REGULAR STARTING CBs from the past twenty years, how many can you realistically say were worse than Mike Williamson?
  14. Agreed. There was always a massive mistake around the corner with Bramble because he was thick as pigshit but he was capable of a decent performance.

  16. He was absolutely shit. One of the most infuriating players we've had in our first team since i've been a supporter. Nice lad but he had absolutely no right to be playing at the back for a PL team.
  17. Linked with a chap called Anthony Limbombe from Club Brugge https://www.voetbalprimeur.be/nieuws/831316/-limbombe-heeft-eindelijk-zicht-op-transfer-maar-niet-naar-huddersfield-.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  18. The people who rate him in here is mind boggling apart from about half a dozen games based over the Championship and Premier League the last 2 seasons he's been absolutely hopeless. He's one of the most infuriating players we have with his serious lack of strength on the ball. You watch him and at times a 5 year old could push him over and dispossess him To think he's our only option as a number 10 is terrifying Can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree with Geordiedean.
  19. Here's a couple more i didn't know about: @SportsDirectFit @SDI_Jobs
  20. Not happy going into another season with Perez as our only option at #10.

    Rafa Benítez

I think Rafa should wait until the transfer window slams shut and then just walk out - play the fuckers at their own game. The reason Ashley is gambling is because he knows Rafa is good enough to keep us up with a bare bones Championship squad. None of the yes men who'd be prepared to come would stand a fucking chance of saving us from the drop.

Fuck him, it was probably going to happen anyway. It's shit or bust time now! He won't sack Rafa because he knows we'd be a cert. for relegation so he's going to spend the next 12 months with both a manager and 100,000 Geordies making life very uncomfortable for him. Brilliant!
