  1. There was one. Ashley moved the goalposts - we need to make him move them back
  2. Steal it ... I'm sure you could pay some little scrote a tenner to lift one for you from SD
  3. That's the kind of transfer where you should opt for a season long loan deal with an obligation to purchase for £20m if the player makes it through 3/4 of the season unscathed. Then it might turn out to be good business.
  4. The only person to lose in this scenario is you as SD don't do refunds but instead give you store credit so ultimately you're still giving them your money one way or another. They do refunds, but they make you pay to post it back Can't you return it in store? That'd really piss them off
  5. Everyone who retweets the hashtag #ifRafaGoesWeGo is being blocked by Sports Direct on Twitter. They're already well aware of what's going on.
  6. They have 750+ stores in the UK. How many stores' sales for how many hours can you expect to disrupt? Even if there is a huge flashmob in 4-5 stores in the NE area, disrupting the store completely for 2 hours every single week for a whole year, that's 1.4% of their UK operations on an hourly basis. It's a far bigger beast than NUFC -which is why claims that his association has boosted SD's share price are fundamentally misplaced. And like all the bricks and mortar stores, the online store will have to report its sales figures, advertising expenditure, avg. cost per sale, sales by channel (including social media and pay per click), conversion rate etc. The action can't massively impact the revenue of the whole company but it might be able to cause enough disruption to the online side of things that questions start to be asked at board level. That's when Ashley will really start seeing red because he is directly responsible for causing the protests
  7. SD's free cash flow for the last 12 months is roughly what NUFC is worth as a business. It's a fruitless exercise. The focus should be on NUFC activities, not SD. Ashley doesn't give a shit about NUFC but he very much gives a shit about SD, hence why the focus should be on disrupting SD's activity as much as we can. Marketing activity and the returns from it are discussed at board level. If enough disruption is caused then questions will be asked at shareholder and board meetings.
  8. Sports Direct runs paid ads on Google - type 'nike trainers, Donnay socks (probably)' or other similar terms into Google and you'll see them at the top of the search results with 'ad' next to them. Every time someone clicks on those ads, Sports Direct pays (it's called pay per click advertising). Google does have measures in place though to stop people just repeatedly clicking and costing the advertiser loads of money. However, i don't think they can guard against multiple people (or thousands of them) from different ip addresses clicking once or twice. This post is merely for the purpose of educating you guys on one element of digital marketing. What you choose to do with that information is completely up to you.....
  9. I think Bruce would have far too much self respect to manage under Ashley after what he's done to Rafa
  10. Fuck it! Surely we’re past the point of no return now? It’s either a case of settling for supporting a club under the Ashley regime or do absolutely everything in our power to get him out. If that means Ashley sabotaging his own investment/advertising vehicle by taking it down to league 2 then so be it. There is literally no point in supporting an NUFC owned by Ashley that merely exists to exist. Enough is enough!
  11. I don’t understand the cringe stuff. At least they’re doing something. What the fuck are the ‘cringe’ brigade doing to change the situation? Sitting on their judgemental arses I imagine. It might not work but at least they can look in the mirror and say they tried to do something about this shitshow.

    Rafa Benítez

Just worry that the fat cunt will get £3 million off him if he does that. Although I'm pretty sure he has an airtight case for constructive dismissal. The fat cunt has got form. He would but he'd lose a lot more than that if/when we went down. Ashley knows he's onto a good thing with Rafa, he just doesn't like the fact he's not a puppet or a yes man and has the total support of the club's fanbase - it puts Ashley in a position of weakness. But as we know, Ashley is a massive gambler - he's prepared to risk the health/future of the club to show Rafa who's boss. It's childish and pathetic but that's Ashley all over

    Rafa Benítez

It's just Ashley being petty because Rafa won't sign a new contract without assurances being in place. Ashley's way to show him and us who's the boss is to deny Rafa transfer funds. The best thing Rafa can do is wait until the transfer window closes and then walk away, leaving Ashley's next puppet to attempt to keep us in the league with a sub-standard squad. We know Rafa can do it but that's because he's world class - the next one definitely won't be.

Good luck with that We're won't be the target audience for the PR, the sycophantic national media publications and football pundits will be. They'll regurgitate the shit peddled by Keith Bishop and once again we'll be ridiculed as a fanbase, this time for daring to dream and being sucked in by Rafa's grandiose ideas. I can't see it working, but it's possible. Like Matt says, I think most serious journalists don't see the point of Keith Bishop. I can't see it working either. This time i think they've royally fucked themselves and are about to experience a shit-storm of hate from all quarters

  16. It'd just be more of the same with Vardy though. I'm talking about a proper shock n' awe plan B where we literally say fuck it, let's send on the biggest, most aggressive centre forward we have and go old school Stoke-style for twenty minutes - Trippier and a winger banging in crosses from the flanks, Shelvey knocking them in the box early from the centre and our frontline bullying the shit out of their defenders. If we knew it was plan B and for most of the game we'd be trying to play decent football, i reckon the fans and players would accept it. What an utterly depressing scenario this is. England need a plan B, but not one inspired by Pulis. How can anyone watch Maguire and Stones in this World Cup and think we need to "get it in the mixer?" Is this a joke that's gone straight over my head? Depressing! How so? When it came down to it, against the one team with anything about them, we had no plan B. Our plan B was more of plan A but with different players and we got beaten. Even Belgium, arguably the best footballing team in the competition, went direct against Japan and it led to them winning the game. The other criticism you can level against this England team is that for all the possession we had, we didn't create enough chances from open play. If you can't go round them and you can't go through them, what's the next best option to try - the same thing again or something different?

  18. If i were England manager (and there are many very good reasons why i'm not) I'd take players purely to implement a plan B. Play your possession, neat passing football as your plan A and when that doesn't work, bring on Andy Carroll, Shelvey and our best typical winger and bombard the opposition. Small tweaks of systems rarely have a dramatic impact, but look at what Belgium did to Japan when they brought on Fellaini and started putting the ball in the box. For some reason they stuck with their plan A for 95 minutes against France and got knocked out?! In Carroll, we have arguably one of the best attacking headers of a ball in world football so why not use him (if he can stay fit). It's like we're scared to revert to effective old school tactics for fear of being labelled a long-ball team, but I say play to your strengths. I'd rather go out of a competition trying something drastic than going out with a whimper because our plan B was more of plan A.
  19. Of course he would! We haven’t had the ball since 45 minutes
  20. I hate to be that guy but I’m going to be - we can’t retain the ball for shit in midfield and we’re being overrun. Our options are Dier and Delph. Whether we win or not, right now is exactly what I’ve been talking about. Shelvey would be a fucking Godsend right now. Instead Gareth has called upon a left-back. ?
  21. Name a player not in the starting 11 who has made an impact at the tournament?! That's why.... We are in the semi final I simply don't understand why people think Shelvey would fit into what we have done. We defend on the front foot with a lot of sprinting and recovering, there's no way in hell Shelvey would be any good In such a setup. It's thinking like this is why we've failed for so many years, we finally have a team and people are trying to think of ways to mess it up. No one can criticise anything Southgate has done because we're in the semi-final of a World Cup, absolutely right. Southgate and the first team have done an amazing job. However, what happens if we win tonight but Kane, Henderson or Maguire get injured or sent off tonight? We're relying on the likes of Vardy, Dier (neither of whom have done anything of note) and either Cahill or Jones. You confident in those players because i'm not? We've been very lucky with injuries and the draw but we won't always be. All i'm saying is that looking forward to the Euros in 2 years time, we need more quality in the squad, including Shelvey and possibly Lascelles.
