    John Carver

Clearly none of these idiots give a shit about the welfare of Newcastle United. They just want to see their mate get a decent job

    John Carver

I'd still rather have him than Pardew but given the opportunity we have to make a really progressive appointment, it would be an enormous kick in the testies

    John Carver

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/john-carver-warns-head-coach-8455997?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter “It’s a big game for the football club. We need to win, we need to get three points, so I’m not even thinking about me. I’m giving everything for this situation. “If it comes off, great. If it doesn’t, at least I’ve done it right" So what you're saying John is that if we don't win, at least you've done it right? Ermmmm...... The intensity of this job is the lowest it has ever been thanks to Ashley and Pardew. Expectations are also lower than ever as well so stop trying to hype it up into something it isn't you fat mong.
  4. "The most important thing is that he's huge so we can lump balls up to him with some degree of confidence that it will stick"
  5. At what time? Usually about 1.30ish i think for home games Nothing will come of this press conference man, Carver won't say anything whilst flanked by Wendy Taylor. He might say he wants the job "a million per cent" again the desperado. Wonder who he will cite as backing him today. The Prophet Mohammed.
  6. Carver will be by far the thickest manaer in the Premier League if we appoint him. Modern managers need intelligence to stand a chance of succeeding and Carver falls so far short it's ridiculous. It would be a monumental f*** up of an appointment. Bear in mind Carr, Charnley and Ashley have worked with this trained ape for years now. I just can't see them going down that route knowing what they do about him. They might not necessarily want us to challenge for cups and european football but staying in the Premier League is focal to Ashley's business plan and Carver would be a huge huge risk.
  7. Sounds quite familiar to be honest. Lambert sounds like Pardew mk11
  8. He hasn't got anything to lose to be fair to the fat cunt. He either gets the manager job, stays on as a coach or gets paid off.
  9. Carr's remit is to bring in players with big profit potential and knowing Ashley's way of working he will have heavy incentives to reward him for the degree to which he does this. One of the apparent frustrations with Pardew was his reluctance to use the players given to him, which is completely understandable given our business model. The club will want to appoint a coach who will bring the best out of and develop the players brought in by the scouting team in order to inflate their values. That man is not John Carver. I cannot see Carr pushing for Carver in any scenario. He will be pushing for a continental coach who suits the style of the players he brings to the club. A shit manager will only devalue the job he is doing here. Charnley is a bit of an unknown at the moment but given his lack of experience I can see him leaning on Carr's experience and knowledge of the game. The wait is frustrating and we may yet end up with Carver as an interim head coach but I'm still confident we'll make a decent managerial appointment this time around.
  10. The only positive element i keep clinging to in this whole situation is the fact that Charnley and Carr seem to have been put in charge of the recruitment process. Carr is far too well-conected and informed to recommend Carver as manager and I doubt Charnely will be keen on that angle either. If you were Carr would you really want a knacker like Carver in charge of the quality players you consistently bring to the club? If you were Charnely wouldn't you want to justify your surprise appointment as MD by nailing your first managerial appointment? The only possible scenarios I can see that would lead to Carver being named manager are a) if Mike Ashley decides to go against the recommendations of Carr and Charnley and appoints Carver himself, b) they decide to leave Carver in charge until the summer when we will have a bigger pool of options to choose from or c) the whole Carr/Charnley thing is a facade and Mike is going to pick a name out of the has-been hat again. Given how the relegation season panned out, I doubt Ashley would risk any of the above.
  11. Depends on what your definition of 'worked' is. He's had tens of millions of pounds in free advertising for his retail business in one of the most high profile leagues on the planet and won't lose a single penny when he sells the club. He might even walk away with a profit. OK, so the entirety of Newcastle thinks he's a cunt. I doubt he gives a shit to be honest. For us it hasn't 'worked' but our measurement of success is very different to his.
  12. McClaren wouldn't be that surprising. He's on the verge of getting Derby promoted to the Premier League, with a squad that he has already put his stamp on. He'd be a right twat to leave them at this stage of the season and let's be honest, he's probably on more money there than he would be here
  13. That transfer window is passing by. The thought of Williamson at the back for the rest of the season is frightening, new manager or not. Need to get a CB in this window or we're screwed
  14. I couldn't give a stuff what anyone says - Palace fans, media, retarded pundits, ex players - the only thing that matters is that Pardew is no longer our problem. Fuck em all! It would take any of them no more than 15 minutes to find out why we have such a massive problem with Pardew and yet none of them do it. Lazy opinions from small minded people who will be contradicting themselves in 12 months time when another (southern) group are calling for his head.
  15. Talksport said he oversaw training at Palace today so it's a done deal. Some other poor fucker's problem now.
  16. It takes a special kind of idiot to turn such a positive first half into such a shit second. God knows what Carver said at half-time but let's hope he doesn't get too many more chances to say it again.
  17. Fucking hell, here comes calamity fuckwit! Need a 3rd goal.....and probably a 4th as well.
  18. Pushing for more goals in the 2nd half instead of trying to defend the lead for 45 minutes. A goal for Gouffran. A 25 yard overhead screamer from Riviere. That'd just about do it.
  19. Fuck me, what a hit!! The players look like they're loving this.
