  1. We couldn't keep a clean sheet even if they played with 8 men so a 1-0 scoreline is never gonna happen. 2-1 maybe but still very unlikely
  2. Ashley would probably congratulate his ingenuity and tell Carr & Charnley to use it as a tactic going forward to get players on the cheap.
  3. Stumbled across this article this morning about the negative effects of only recruiting 'A' players in business. There are loads of crossovers with our current situation, particularly the last paragraph and ironically it mentions the Andy Carroll/Newcastle United situation when discussing how much your environment influences your success: http://blog.seed.jobs/2014/09/shouldnt-hire-a-players/
  4. Hold on a minute though. Bear in mind that Tiote has been Pardewed for 4 years now and when he came he was class, in fact probably the best DM in the premier league in his first season. He's undoubtedly a lot beter player than we see currently.
  5. You can't hate the guy. He is playing where he is put by a clueless manager with a track record of ruining players. Gouf came to us as a striker and is being told to play on the wing in a team completely devoid of attacking intent and creativity. I feel sorry for the guy more than anything. He seems like a decent bloke and i'm sure he's not enjoying it any more than you are.
  6. Wonder how many people have chucked a load of Swansea players in their Fantasy Football team this week.
  7. Nearly got a semi looking at that team. Full of attacking brilliance.......
  8. Any club is a difficult one to play for when you got football's equivalent of Barry Chuckle in charge of the playing staff. Useless blame shifting prick.
  9. Adolf Hitler was named Time Magazine's man of the year in 1938 Alan.
  10. The thing that pisses me off the most about football Managers is the lack of concern about the state they could leave the club in. Regardless of how cocksure and confident Pardew is, surely he can see that he might condemn NUFC to years in the lower leagues (and by that I mean the Championship and below) if he sticks around. Obviously I can understand if he doesn't want to throw £millions away by resigning but have some fucking dignity, speak to Ashley and try to agree a severence package so that the club has a chance of retaining its Premier League status this season. 1 win in 14 games is it? You'd have to be some kind of cunt to carry on bloody-mindedly when it's quite clear you're incapable of pulling the team out of a slump like this. They all bleat on about how much they love the clubs they manage but it's all transparent, superficial bullshit. We're the poor fuckers who will suffer most if this run continues and yet we're always the furthest from the thoughts of any of these stubborn bastards. How's about putting your ego aside for 5 minutes and doing the right thing eh Alan? I know it's a sentimental way of looking at it but genuinely, if I thought my incompetence in a job was likely to take it down the pan and cost a lot of other people their livelihoods, I'd leave. Maybe i'm just soft.....
  11. Right now i'd pretty much take anyone except Joe Kinnear or Dave Bassett I'd take Venables, Curbishley, Lennon, Moyes, Sherwood, Pulis........ We're going nowhere but down with Pardew in charge. Although I enjoyed the last season in the Championship I doubt we'd bounce back straightaway second time around For the record, i'd love us to give Hoddle a chance.
  12. Looking at the squad we have now, we couldnt be more suited to a 4-3-3. We have annabundance of central midfielders, no decent wingers and 4-5 players who would be better placed further up the pitch. A midfield 3 of Anita, Sissoko and Colback looks solid enough. Take your pick from a front 3 of Perez, Cisse, Riviere, Cabella, Gouffran. Its the only formation that would make sense at the moment because anything else involves shie-horning players into positions that render them inneffective - Gouf on the wing, Cabella covering the full-back, Riviere isolated up top on his own..... When De Jong comes back we can revert to a different formation but for now we should be looking to utilise The players we have available in a formation that gives us the best chance of winning. Pardew's tactical philosophy is completely backwards. Even Neil Warnock said he goes into a new team, assesses what players he has and plays a formation that suits them best. He added tgat to do otherwise is the completely wrong approach. Neil fucking Warnock!!
  13. At the moment I'm not sure if he will TBH, who would play instead? I'd play Fistpumps every time.
  14. From his static position at the back post, from a high, floated cross? That would be impressive! More chance of him burying a Rooney-esque bicycle kick
  15. If a manager with a functioning pair of eyes comes in to replace Pardew, Williamson will be confined to the bench quicker than you could say 'hoof'
  16. Fucking arse licker! No wonder he's 100% behind the manager, Pardew is the only clown supid enough to think Williamson is good enough for the premier league. http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2014-10-01/newcastle-defender-mike-williamson-insists-the-squad-remain-100-per-cent-behind-under-fire-boss-alan-pardew/
  17. I'm actually still not sure what his best position is? Not fucking right wing would be a good place to start
  18. And why the fuck have they brought Paul 'i hate everything to do with Man City, completely biased' Scholes in on this gig. Scruffy prick!
  19. Townsend clearly watching a different game to everyone else on the planet as usual. Worst pundit going
  20. I don't necessarily think Pardew is a bad guy. Yes he's full of excuses and talks a lot of shit but he's no Souness or Allardyce. As a manager he simply doesn't belong at this level. This is the pinnacle of professional football with some of the world's top managers and his one dimensional tactics just make him look ridiculous. Decent managers who played pass and move, on the deck football used to be few and far between but highly sought after. Now they're everywhere because that's the way the game is played these days. It has evolved. There are teams playing great football all the way down to league 2. He is a football has-been and that's why he deserves to lose his job. If you don't move with the times you deserve everything you get.
  21. Mike Williamson is an awful footballer. Completely out of his depth at this level
  22. The only way I could see him coming here is if the club changed a number of its policies eg. Manager having some say on transfers, allowing him to go for the cups, no avoiding European places and being prepared to pay a higher basic salary. That seems like far too much compromise for Ashley.
  23. The PR machine really is in overdrive at the moment. We should run a sweepstake on which former player they'll get to sing his praises next. My money is on Ba or Nolan.
