The clamour for new signings wouldn't be anywhere near as frenzied as it has been if Pardew had actually created a team that was as strong as the sum of its parts. Pardew doesn't ''create'' the team or choose the players in the squad. He just coaches it. bingo and the only category in choosing the players is the question "is it a good deal" and not any actual football vision and philosophy so we're stuck with a squad thats completely unbalanced and hasn't really shown any capacity that they're the right fit for each other. If that's true and he does only coach the team it shows him in an even worse light. He has a team full of internationals and not internationals from shit countries either - France, Argentina, Senegal, Italy, Ivory Coast, Holland, England. Last season the tactics were shite, the set play routines were awful, players were consistently played out of position, the substitutions were baffling etc. Make all the excuses you want for Pardew but if he was any good then last season would have been the anomaly in his managerial record but it wasn't, the previous season was. How many more internationals do you think we need to sign before we actually start to see the fruits of Pardew's genius?

Fuck Pardew! He got 5 new players (some internationals) in January to add to an already quality first team that he was doing his utmost to relegate. So he hasn't been given any more new players - fucking didums, there's nothing we can do about that now! He still has more than enough quality in that squad to finish top half. I hate Ashley and Kinnear as much as everyone else but don't let their lunacy distract you from the fact that Pardew has a very talented bunch of players at his disposal already and anything other than top 10 constitutes failure.

I will put £100 on 'they made it hard/tough for us tonight' being the main theme of this dickhead's post match interview tonight. C U N T

Thought i'd done alright with 72 points but it looks like that's a bit shite compared to some of you jammy feckers.

Has anyone seen they've actually g Has anyone else seen the Sports Direct magazine? It's an actual magazine that you can buy from supermarkets, newsagents etc. I saw it in the local Co-op the other day with Carl Froch on the front. Gay!

Keep reading the thread title as 'NUFC to take Loic Remy on season-long loan'. Every single time. Bastards!

Pardew remains completely in the dark would probably be more accurate

Late to the party, mate. Previous page. tits!

How the Premier League table would look if every one of the shots that hit the woodwork this season had gone in http://i.imgur.com/7VnljOF.png

Seeing and hearing what a genuine, honest decent guy Martinez is makes me even more angry that Pardew is our manager. The Mcmanaman defence aside he's a really likeable fella and clearly a talented coach. Pardew on the other hand......

Direct, thats about all I can say about it. i would say 'Boredom' go out there and bore the opposition to death, when they are finally half asleep hit them with the counter long ball. I can't see anything that jumps out as a particular style but its direct. Long ball, free kicks in our half launched into the oppo box. But you'd describe Stoke and West Ham as direct yet we don't look like them. I genuinely haven't got a clue what the man is trying to achieve from a playing style point of view. We don't retain the ball particularly well, we don't play through the middle, we don't exploit the wings, we don't have dynamic forwards who interchange like Chelsea. I'm honestly fucking baffled!

Serious question here - what is Pardew's preferred brand of football? I was thinking about it last night and I still haven't got a clue after 2 seasons. Pulis and Allardyce prefer a more direct, physical approach, Rodgers, Martinez, Wenger and a few others prefer carpet football, Hughton is defensive etc. What exactly is the end goal for Pardew? If he actually pulls his finger out of his arsehole and gets us playing the way he wants us to, what will that look like? Answers on a postcode

Ba? Ba left halfway through the season when we were already cemented in the bottom half of the table. His departure wasn't the catalyst for the this season's failure - we were already well on the way.

This 'we didn't strengthen' doesn't hold any sway with me at all. We finished 5th with a group of players who all stayed at the club. The following season, because we didn't add more players to the squad, we're relegation fodder. Bollocks! We may have overachieved last season but there is no reason the same group of players should have been hovering around the relegation places all of this season. Fair enough, the effect the lack of signings might have had on team moral could be a factor but not that much. Injuries - OK I accept that they have played their part but whose fault is it that the players who stepped in didn't step up? Seemingley Pardew is saying is we don't have our full first team out there every game, we can't expect to win. Not good enough - find a way to win, that's your fucking job you bell. Get rid! We have an opportunity to snap up a top class manager with Premier League experience and a very successful track record. If they ignore it in favour of sticking with the current phoney it could well come back to bite them.....and us.

I think that's just speculation going off the earlier report that he was "looking to do that in the summer". Doesn't necessarily mean anything. http://www.lastwordonnothing.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Fingers-crossed1-e1337407574776.jpg I echo those sentiments

If Pardew is going to get the boot I reckon we'll already be someway down to the road to sorting out his replacement. Given the way we conduct transfer activity i'm sure we'll have done our research, identified some targets and perhaps even made contact. I actually don't believe we'd jump into another managerial appointment because the target in question was cheap and available. We seem to do things a bit more professionally these days. All this talk of giving Pardew a few games next season worries me tbh. His pre-seasons haven't exactly been great to-date and another one could do further damage to a seemingly fragile squad.

I'd love that, I really would. I want a manager to have enough time to build a lasting legacy at the club. However, I don't think you can't just hope to get lucky with it, you have to appoint someone who has a track record of delivering success or at the very least someone who has shown huge potential (preferably at a couple of different clubs). That way, even if the team go through a bad patch the fans still have confidence that the team will come good and will stay on board. Unfortunately, in Pardew we have a guy who doesn't instill confidence in most of us because he hasn't achieved anything of note anywhere else. He's been relegated with two different clubs and he's never won a trophy as a manager. Don't forget the 2009-10 Johnstone's Paint Trophy with Southampton. I stand corrected
