Ok fair enough, it was a shit post but i couldn't be arsed to fully research it. Replace 'set pieces' with 'corners' though and it sounds just a bad. We are not having a bit of trouble with corners, we are beyond fucking useless at them. We might as well just hoof the ball back to our keeper from the corner flag for all the good our set plays do. Blaming Pardew for everything that ever went wrong?! Really? I blame him for not being able to do the things that fall under his remit - tactics, team lineups, in-game changes, constant failure from set corner routines that he has orchestrated. Who else do you suggest is to blame for this stuff? The players have to shoulder the blame for not performing well enough individually and as a collective but they are not in control of any of the things listed above.

When you look at some of the key failings of the team on the pitch over the past couple of years then you start to realise how dire he is: - no goals from a set piece for over 2 years. Set pieces are an orchestrated play - something that is worked on routinely in training. Movement, positions and strategy are usually dictated by the manager and the coaches so if the set piece plays don't work, the manager and coaching staff are to blame - One win away from home all season - tactics and negative lineups have played a large part in this but it's also down to mentality and motivation, instilling in the players a belief that they can win regardless of not being on home soil. We don't have that mentality or belief and have never looked like having it this season - No win after going behind in a match since before Pardew took over as Manager (might need to check accuracy but pretty sure this is the case) This is the big one for me. This reflects lack of motivation, lack of a winning mentality and poor, ineffective substitutions. Pardew is absolutely incapable of changing a game which, at the top level, is absolutely criminal - second worst defensive record in the league Considering we supposedly spend 5 days a week working on defensive shape and duties, this alone should be enough to get him the sack. We've conceded 9 more goals than QPR FFS! - 10 wins all season despite no players leaving in the summer and 5 top quality recruits joining in January. And I'm sure there are more. None of this stuff is down to bad luck, injuries, poor officials etc. All of it is due to consistent bad management from Pardew and his back room staff.

Are people still seriously discussing whether Ashley would have to pay up the whole contract?! He's one of the UK's shrewdest, most ruthless and most successful businessmen, not a fucking idiot. There is absolutely no chance, not even the slightest thread of a chance that he's left himself open to that possibility. As alluded to up there ^ the contract length was almost certainly put in place to protect us if another team or even England wanted to poach him.

That's the worrying bit. I've seen nowt from us all season to suggest we can do that. They might be bottom of the league and already relegated but i can see them scoring against us, meaning we'll have to score at least 2 - when was the last time we did that?

Replacing Sir Bobby with that cock-snogger was one of the worst decisions i've seen since the birth of the Premier League. Had absolutely no idea what he was doing and was woefully out of his depth but his massive ego won't allow him to believe it. Leave him in the studio to talk shit with the rest of the washed-up never-has-beens

Fucking hell, we're going down
-
I am shitting myself! It's excrutiating not being able to watch this
-
Agree with all of that Word You can't argue with any of that but do people really think he's going to make those kind of decisions? He's almost backed himself into a corner but refuses to recognise any of those things and just carries on blindly making the same mistakes. That article is absolutely spot on but it's all obvious stuff to anyone who has watched us this season. Sadly the only person that doesn't get it is our sodding manager and I can't see him doing any of those things, let alone all of them.

2014/15 NUFC Kits - New third kit revealed on page 143
steve_69 replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Why do Puma persist with the shit iron-on club badge. All of the kits they've done would look so much better with a proper embroidered badge. The lazy feckers! -
He's a better jumper than any of our other players. Pardew loves a good jumper.

don't agree with hate, the man is out of his depth and should be put out of his misery if he was one of the highest paid managers yes but he's one of the lowest, you pay peanuts you gets monkeys don't hate monkeys Most monkeys are funny. This fucker isn't

This is something that continually amazes me. There's no shortage of decent managers out there, guys with real long-term pedigree and top class experience yet we seem to make the wrong decision every time. This goes right back to replacing a world class, talented gentleman like Bobby Robson with Graeme sodding Souness and then following that up with Glen f***ing Roeder. More recently we've had to endure Joe Kinnear and Alan Pardew. The two chinks of light we had, Hughton and Keegan, were treated appallingly and left the club. The worst part of it is watching other clubs, often lesser clubs than ourselves, snap up decent managers and progress while we sit by and watch. In theory it seems absolutely simple to make NUFC a massive, massive success. Probably Ashley's plan + someone like Laudrup isn't far off the best approach. It's totally baffling! All Ashley needs is a bit of impartial football advice from someone who isn't part of the big football old boy's club. Put together a list of candidates who have proven themselves to be more than a one season wonder, preferably someone young who encourages a modern brand of football. Boom, job done! If we can sell the club to players like Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Sissoko i'm pretty sure we could sell it to a decent managerial candidate.

The less time the players spend with Pardew the better. Keep them the fuck away from the training ground. He'll only make them worse
-
I genuinely believe we'd play better football and have a greater chance of picking up points without a manager in charge.
-
Mike Ashley is a self-made billionaire and one of the country's shrewdest business men. Anyone who thinks he's left himself open to having to pay off the full 8 years of Pardew's contract is a fucking moron! The length of contract was more likely put in place to put off potential suitors, who would have to buy out the remainder if they wanted to poach Pardew. Obviously the contract was given to him while his stock was high and before he showed himself to be a total clown. As far as i'm concerned we should get rid now. It takes a very special kind of incompetence to create a completely ineffective and impotent team from a highly talented group of players but that's exactly what Pardew has done all season. It's nothing short of criminal. Remove the problem now and let the players play football the way they can for the last 3 games - no bullshit gameplan, negative setup or square pegs in round holes.
-
An attacking substitution when they're ahead in the game!? What the fuck is that about then?!
-
The most conservative and least attack-minded lineup in a game we really have to get a result from. Another management master class from the Cockney Mourinho. Thanks for last season Pardick, now kindly fuck off for good.
-
This is fucking pathetic! Hope we've got some relegation clauses written into those contracts.
-
He's had 2 and a half good months, man. That's two and a half months more than most of them have had
-
Graham?! Is that you?
-
With the players we've had at our disposal post-January the way we have performed has been criminal. We plugged all of the gaps that needed plugging, with genuine quality, and we're still not safe from relegation. If we were hovering around mid-table i'd say give him one more season but he has been the root cause of everything that's bad about us this season so I just want rid.

1. Alan, what message do you have for supporters who are frustrated with the style of football the team have played this season 2. Alan, what do you consider to be a bigger contributing factor to this season's failure a) the wrong tactics being employed or b) the players not executing the tactics effectively? 3. Alan, it could be said that the fans have taken it very easy on you this season given the results and performances they have witnessed Are you worried that they could turn on you if the team doesn't have a good start to next season? 4. After taking the lead many times this season, the team seem to sit back and invite pressure on themselves rather than going for the kill. This has resulted in us surrendering the lead in a number of games. Is this an approach that you encourage or discourage?
