  1. You can just imagine the guff he's going to spout if they beat us tonight.
  2. Just when you thought you couldn't hate the man even more....................
  3. Never forgiven his tackle on Rob Lee, the cheating babyfaced cuntstick! Hope he fails miserably
  4. I agree, he seems like a top bloke tbh. I don't mind Crouch, Defoe or Ledley King either but we do have a lot of cunts in our national team.
  5. Doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would give a fuck anyway
  6. Roeder is a bit of a dick tbh. By that token, Gerrard and Terry should also be left out of the England team because of their violent off-field. What a tit
  7. Hugo Rodellega would be a decent signing IMO - premier league experience, pace, strength etc. He might be a bit too expensive for our meagre budgets though
  8. You're missing the point again. This isn't an ordinary team in an ordinary season. Some of these players aren't good enough for the PL but they're playing above themselves and as a result, are putting more energy and workrate into performances. They'll burn out alot easier than a Robson team or us in the Championship etc.
  9. I reckon the majority of people would still retain their original opinion if Hughton had persisted with 4-5-1. It was clear to most of us that it wasn't working and that Nolan wasn't suited to the position just behind Carroll. Since the change in tactics we've looked like a totally different team, had some fantastic results and shot up the league as a result. Credit where it's due.

    Current Team

I said a while back that I think this is the most likeable group of players we've had since I can remember, and that was before we brought in Tiote and Ben Arfa who have made things even better. The team spirit and togetherness is fantastic and I love that they all seem proud to play for Newcastle United, despite us not being one of the league's top teams any more. Scene's like the goal line pile-on after Nolan's first goal on Sunday just make me love them more.
  11. Bale tore Maicon a new hole yesterday so I don't think there's any shame in Simpson getting bummed by him.
  12. I understand the logic - wait until he's proved himself so we don't need to spunk loads if he can't hack it and we are in danger of relegation, but the lack of respect shown to him is staggering. Negotiate it now, give him assurances on funds etc. let him know he's wanted rather than just Fat Mike and Llambias saying "Not until the New Year, sorry Chris. Thanks for making our lives much easier by the way, the next time one of us streaks around the pitch we'll be thinking of you." I think that's just the way Ashley does business. By all accounts he's ruthless as fuck as doesn't give a shit who he upsets in his pursuit for success. Sadly that attitude doesn't necessarily transfer to professional football.
  13. Coming into this season we all knew we'd take a few beatings from better teams though so I don't think it's a massive area for concern. As long as we beat the teams around and below us we'll get to 40 points and then anything else is a bonus.
  14. The Daily Mirror's take on the Hughton situation: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/simon-bird/Revealed-Why-Newcastle-have-still-not-rewarded-Chris-Hughton-with-a-new-contract-Simon-Bird-column-article618853.html
  15. Same team definitely. Why change a winning formula? Get Tiote to Man-Mark Fabregas, Enrique can take care of Walcott and then we only have Chamakh, Nasri, Wilshire and Arshavin to deal with. Piece of piss!
  16. I loved the way he went mental every time we scored and then seemed to have a moment of realisation that he'd lost his calm, and then returned to normal Hughton mode really quickly. Brilliant!
  17. Looking at how we performed against Man City away, I think we could cause a few surprises. Bearing in mind that game was before we played this new formation, we looked every bit as good as they did, and they are considered one of the league's best teams. If everyone stays fit I reckon a top half finish is realistic. Injuries to a couple of key players and we're probably looking at 12th-15th
  18. He's been excellent the last two games and IMO it's no coincidence that it happened when he was moved back into midfield. Like Lampard, Nolan finds better goalscoring positions coming from midfield (i'm not suggesting Nolan is as good as Lampard by the way). His lack of pace and movement make him too easy to mark when he plays up front. Plus, with Carroll and Ameobi being a massive handful up front, they pull defenders out of position which creates openings for the midfielders
  19. With the black Mourinho in charge, Barton on the right of midfield, and Carroll and Ameobi up top - No E - I - E - I - E - I - O..........................!
  20. You only have to look at how shit other so-called better Managers performed at this club with World class players at their disposal, To see what a brilliant job hughton is doing. Gullit, souness and allardyce Aren't fit to lace hughton's boots.
  21. Kevin Nolan can start every game for the rest of the season now as far as I'm concerned. Fucking brilliant! Joey Barton for England!!
  22. We should take bets on which of our players Clattermole will injure this time. I'm praying it's not Tiote, Carroll, Enrique or Jonas
  23. To be fair to them, that was a pretty decent second half performance against the twelve men of arsenal. 0-4 is very harsh on us and flatters them somewhat. Fucking disgusting refereeing performance from mariner, should be investigated as far as I'm concerned.
