Don't know how those wages compare to what other clubs are paying but I'd think there aren't too many capable of paying Simpson 20k a week, and the ones that are wouldn't sign him. 15k sounds about right. Not massive wages by any means but these are the times we are in. I'd be looking to pay him 10-15k IF we get promoted. agree 100% . Enough clubs already got problem with wages, rather we are'nt one of them. (gotta get our high earners down also)

Why on earth would he come to us? Great player, but we got to be realistic. He would want to be a in team challenging for Europe. To get a squad together that will challenge for Europe would require time and massive change and we ain't going to be replacing our starting 11 in the summer. He hasnt been great the latest years and could see it as chance to pick his game up again.

heskey has 4 goals in 30 games for villa, carew 31 in 84. carew is quicker and stronger than heskey.. i see no reason why heskey is starting. i really dont rate him anymore.
