I hear what you're saying but what if the Premier League top 10 are all run/owned by billionaires? Wouldn't that even things out a bit?
-
I'd go for Hull, Stoke and WBA. They're the 3 weakest teams but WBA might make a fight of it. Sunderland, Boro, Wigan and Fulham will all be down there but they're quite a bit stronger than the 3 promoted sides imo.

In answer to the OP - seemingly nowt. If anything does become of these 3 then I'll gladly unlock this.

Comments from the Blackburn chairman and Aston Villa manager I suggest are a good indicator. "We've had bids from two clubs for David Bentley; one when Mark Hughes was manager, and the other very recently. They have both been rejected" said Rovers chairman John Williams. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_3833881,00.html Martin O'Neil "I wouldn't normally respond to individual links, but as Paul Ince rightly said, we did make a bid for David Bentley," "That was some time ago and Blackburn rejected the bid - as is their prerogative" http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11677_3835438,00.html Recent bid from Tottenham turned town. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/7506621.stm "Or enquired" were the key words. We might have asked how much they wanted for him and left it at that.

Not surprised in the slightest Keegan hasn't entered the race to sign Barry; two of the big 4 are desperate to buy him even at the hugely inflated price good player mind. The one I am surprised there has been no move for is David Bentley; he would be top of my list the lack of creativity and goals from midfield needs to be addressed more then anything and he would certainly add that also he would be ideal in Keegan's system right side of the three where Geremi played back end of last season. Don't want to start the same arguments up again but....how do you know we haven't made a bid or enquired? Its not in the papers Well if I haven't read it, it mustn't have happened. Seriously, we might have made a discrete enquiry for all we know. The papers are guessing and are clearly 'not in the loop' about who we are and are not in for. Just because it's not in the papers doesn't mean it's not happened and vice versa. Not getting at Gallowgate End here but I honestly think that if anyone treats the tabloids' 'exclusives' with any respect at all then they're fucking idiots. They know fuck all.

The mackem game against Sporting Lisbon is on Setanta tonight. Kicks off at about 9 I think - summat like that.

When does the transfer window close? Is this a trick question? Sorry, I'm just bored tbh. How long since you finished work for the summer? Just over 24 hours? I'll get used to it eventually... I'm actually heartened after hearing Keegan this afternoon. Just nice to actually hear from the man himself.

When does the transfer window close?

He also said it was imperative to get new players in. HE KNOWS HE NEEDS NEW PLAYERS.
-
Why can't you just use your own account man Wul?
-
Aye, the result should do wonders for morale though too. Aye, fair point. The final score means nowt ultimately but it's something to build on I suppose.

Performance > Result. In pre-season anyway.

Wulbert is seething.

Here we go. http://img399.imageshack.us/img399/7832/tantrumoj4.gif I'm not at all in tantrum mode. In fact I'm perfectly placid. From my perspective, it is you who is having the tantrum, and whom is attempting your usual bully boy tactics of trying to belittle anyone saying anything you don't want to hear. Doesn't work with me I'm afraid. No doubt you will want to have the last word with another belittling comment as you always do, but I will now stop this for tonight, as this forum is not about your ego, or my ego or anyones ego but about Newcastle United FC. Good day. Missed this.

Fuck me. I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour....
-
Bet he gets fucking booked though!
-
So.....not much pressure on him to perform then?
-
Malbranque is too good for them and I'm struggling to see the rest leaving London for Sunderland. It's a bold move but I can't see it coming off unless they've offered silly money. If, indeed, it's true in the first place.
-
Yeah, how stupid of us. Nevermind waiting to get £10m+ let's just sell when the first bid comes in. Who the fuck's going pay that for him though? If Wigan went in at 9, I'm willing to bet they'll pay a little more to actually get him.
-
We tell him he'd be competing for a starting place during negotiations. We then put Enrique in for the first game and he plays well enough to keep the shirt.
