As for that long haired centre half, I liked the way hed not just pull wider and deeper when the keeper was playing out, He'd come inside and play off the angle from the forward trying to cut that pass off. You get much more of that ball from Gordon and Barnes than Murphy

There's more to it than that. His early crosses need a head up first, hence why he does that less with Nick and much more with Wissa or Isak. He rarely plays it in blind and is often near or far post not just put in the middle and see what helappens.

Other way round isnt it ? Their technique keeps them in the game as they can match us physically earlier on, its as the game goes on and they can't keep up the physicality that we pull away.

Those wingers produced last season and have you seen some of the balls Murphys put in this season..... the forward reading them is whats missing. Its not our defence as much as our defending throughout the team.....though thats getting stretched now as games go on.
