  1. After hearing that PCP had racked up around £20million in legal costs and Barclays had run up £30million of their own, the judge decided both parties should cover their own costs.

Normally losers pick up winners' legal bills and Barclays bosses had argued that the judge should have followed the normal rule.

But Ms Staveley said the normal rule should not be followed because the judge found in her favour on a number of issues.

Yeah, sounds like she’s actually done quite well here.

I don’t think having to pay 20m for her own legal costs is what I would class as doing well mind. Could have been worse, but, her aim was to win the case and have her legal costs covered in that.

I’ve absolutely no idea how the process works, but I assume you enter these legal situations with the knowledge you may have to pony up for the bill and that bill may be quite substantial. Losing and only having to pay your half seems quite unusual.

I genuinely don’t give that much of a fuck, I just read the article assuming it would say one thing and instead it said another.

  3. The bit (understandably) glossed over is that the players want Jones in charge to the end of the season. He obviously has some standing with the players

I imagine anyone with an FA level 1 badge could rock up to the training ground and they’d look like Arrigo Sacchi in comparison to Bruce.

  4.

Love how much they hate him. It's strange as well like, but then again, they are a bunch of weird c***s.

They hate him because his appointment proved everything they spend their lives trying to refute - that we’re a relatively big club, that we’re much more relevant than them, that despite being shit we have a pedigree and a profile that they could only dream of ever having.

  5. Rather telling that he hasn’t retweeted his colleague Jason Burt’s article, but was quick to retweet previous ones when it had stalled.

    Funny that.

Funniest part of this entire saga was right at the very start, during the morning of the Companies House changes, when Edwards steamed in to shit on it and had to delete his tweet after 10 mins because someone at the Telegraph clearly had a word to say Burt had the exclusive.

  6. Acting like jack the lad is what happened. Late nights, alcohol and smoking stopped him being an athlete and when you weren’t much of a one to begin with then that few % stopped him being effective at this level.

 the tab is half his size.

They don’t make superkings like they used to.

  7. Pull your stupid twisty face as much as you like, him being dropped by Rafa and not getting a game played just as big a part of him wanting away, don’t care what anyone says. Amazing how everything is all hunky dory again now he plays all the time under Bruce. Its that hunky dory he is more than willing to stay away for another 6 years. Well until he ever gets dropped again, then he’ll be slamming in that transfer request again.

How do you get through the day without shitting your pants your precious thing?
