A worrying trend is that barring the West Brom defeat, the losses in the league this season have all had a total fucking implosion for a few minutes following the opposition scoring when the whole team has had a massive panic attack that has ended up with an impossible task to bring any positive result from the ruins and a total fucking disaster of a result. The Chelsea implosion was at the end of the match when the game was already lost but the same headless chicken mode kicked in once the second goal went in.

That's just about my thinking now. Bring in a low-key defensive signing as cover / one for the future this window + maybe a short term signing for extra cover. Keeping Tiote / Ba / Colloccini is a must and the summer can be supplementing the first team squad, upgrading some areas (Simpson / Obertan / Perch) and replacing Smith and Lovenkrands as their contracts are up in summer, unless they go this window, and maybe a low-key forward signing as well. This has the potential to be the best forward combo since Shearer and Ferdinand up front for us.

Maybe they just like watching David Craig standing around in the cold.

Sorry to mention the dark one again, but I'm hoping that this signing may be an indicator that one or all of Smith, Ranger and Lovenkrands may be out of the door this window and freeing up wages. Not that I've got anything against Lovenkrands as he showed a lot more heart and capability than Owen in his last season but he's quite clearly treading water at this level now. If this signing goes through it may make Ba even more grounded here as well, having his international team mate here. Win win situation (hopefully).
