  1. It wasn't a good spot, I was in the long term car park and it flew really low into town from the south. It was hard to miss and went straight over the city centre, heading north'ish. Samaras....
  2. Don't mention Bridge(s) in the Transfer Desperation Day thread.....
  3. Don't forget how 'hard it is to get players in January' or so we've been told since these fuckers have been in charge.
  4. Eleven hours left and no real solid links, can't see us getting anyone in to be honest unless it's a pointless loan or a Sibierski. I'm off away from this machine and SSN for a couple of hours and hope this picks up.
  5. From t'BBC 'Papiss Demba Cisse's agent says the Senegalese will not be leaving Bundesliga side Freiburg during the transfer window. Fulham, Sunderland and Newcastle United have been linked with a move. "Nobody was ready to pay the sum - that was the only problem," Guido Nicolai told BBC Africa Sport. '
  6. From t'BBC 'Ooh, I love things like this. Spanish journlist Guillem Balague has some interesting news for Arsenal fans, tweeting: "Park Chu Young is not the only player Lille have mispaced. Eden Hazard has filed a transfer request to force Arsenal move.'
  7. It looks like all of the options have run out for us actually paying money for a striker.
  8. Andre Pierre Gignac, linked with loan to Fulham, is staying at Marseille, OM sporting director Jose Anigo tells BBC Sport's John Sinnott.
  9. That's all gone on our free transfers and agent fees. Apparently.
  10. Arse fans will be calling for Wenger's head even more if Cahill ends up at Spuds.
  11. It's normally just an excuse for them to get their gorgeous female weather presenters on screen alongside the gorgeous Sky Sports News female presenters to keep us watching....
  12. That's a bit unambitious - Gyan + £5m surely. It is Sunderland and Bruce after all. They can then say that they've bought a player for £18m and broken Newcastle's transfer record, huzzah!
  13. In None (permanent) Macheda (Loan) Out One of Lovenkrands / Smith Simpson Tomorrow we'll hear that Lamblias and Ashley phoned in sick with the tom-tits and were only available to sign off outgoing players as they were in the netty whenever incoming transfers were mentioned.
  14. Bruce turned you down didn't he? Fairly sure I remember reading about Bruce's son Alex, saying how he would regret doing that and he should have took the job. Bruce turned Shepherd down yes. I can remember arguing with NE5 and others on this site that Bruce, despite being a Geordie was as thick as pig shit. Enjoy your choice of management for the next two years. Was that just after Souness was peddled? Even then he wasn't welcomed and the mention of his name caused widespread :frantic: My opinion of Steve Bruces management career has always been that he is the footballing equivalent of Dr Sam Beckett - 'Steve Bruce leaps from manager job to manager job, desperately trying to put right what he's done wrong, hoping that the next leap will be the leap home (to Manchester United).'
  15. Good debut in a competitive match and one of the few players to earn his wage last night, decent passing and a bit of tenacity to retain the ball as well. Should improve when he gets fitter and gets used to playing some of the cloggers in the English game (and his own team ).
  16. He probably bought shitloads from porn shops on his debit card to try and hide his secret shame.
  17. Loved to have seen the reaction to the hypothetical e-mail he would have received confirming his purchase. 'FUCK!!! CANCEL. CANCEL. CANCEL. CAN'T CANCEL. CAN'T FUCKING CANCEL. FUCK, FUCK, FUUUUUCCCCKKKKK! Wor lass is going to have me scrotum for a purse for this one.'
  18. I was quite clerly having a laugh / trolling (hence the trollface in the initial post). However, the profit that has been made in transfers (even before the sale of Andy Caroll) since Ashley took over would have taken care of the stadium loan. If the same transfers had been made under the previous regime the only place the fees would have ended up is in annual 'premiums' for the shareholders, which is the same place any 'profit' went from previous years when the club was being loaded with debt. Can anyone explain where cash goes from annual amortisation (in thick person speak preferably) as this is a major drain on our accounts year on year?
  19. Aye, I just notch another off the list of players we've got to register on September 1st. I've no doubts we'll register 25 players, but think that 1/5 of them will not really need to be on the list.
  20. By not getting relegated and then having a massive fire sale like we're having now.... Massive fire sale? Sorry, massive fire give away.
  21. By not getting relegated and then having a massive fire sale like we're having now....
  22. Don't avoid the question, man. What do you reckon he should do? He can't do nowt except pushing for players to come in. Personally though I can't see that what he has done from day one has pushed for players to either be brought in or retained. He's sucked the big old cock and misrepresented the actual situation to the media and the supporter of the club.
  23. We've just lopped (another) £3m off the wage bill ffs. What's not to like about the deal?? You crazy, man... You're right! We'll need that cash to plug up that pesky borehole. What's best, notes or coin?
