The one part of the story that says it all really. Superb player, great technique and one of the worst moments of Bobby's time here when he let him go.
-
Where is Scholes? The media had him nailed on to win back in August....
-
Cos Howard Webb's shit.

Who do you think is going down, and who is coming up?
Spider Jerusalem replied to Stifler's topic in Football
Down:- Wigan, West Ham, Blackpool Up:- QPR, Norwich, Dirty Leeds Would love to see Blackburn down, just to see if they get the media's reaction of 'you wouldn't have went down with Allardyce' but unfortunately I'm not that lucky. -
Same for me. Coloccini is now looking the player that we thought we bought, strong, confident, good with the ball and dangerous in the oppositions area. However, Tiote has managed to put a curb on the almost 1:1 yellow card per match ratio that he started the season with and looks to be one of the most important players in the sqaud.
-
Tiote - brilliant strike, weaker foot i believe, topped the greatest comeback in Premier League history, superb celebration and The Harper's Elbow finisher unveiled to the world.

Just sit down and think about that everybody It's Carr that's the most galling out of all those.

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kx4nl2PTMr1qzpzfmo1_400.jpg Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! (Sorry, it's just the first thing that I thought of when I saw the thread title). The N'zogbia offer just seemed like the 'two 8 million pound plus' bids that Newcastle made in the last hour on transfer deadline day January 2009. We had money from two unpopular transfers out of the club and they wanted to say that they had at least tried to spend it.
-
A signing that he barely played when he was here. Has he also mentioned that he signed Alan Smith and Geremi?
-
Aye - Bougherra was lucky to just see a yellow for his foul towards the end. Was nowhere near Jenas' alleged yellow card offence yesterday, but he jumped in uncontrolled and got the man.

Harper's Elbow (Most Electrifying Move In Football)
Spider Jerusalem replied to Taylor Swift's topic in Football
I'd have said Million Dollar Dream on Gamst next weekend, but judging by the Arse keeper's reaction yesterday Nolan is the master of that move in the squad as he only had it on him for a second and he was out for the count. So it'll have to be a steel chair to the back of Gamst's head when Alan 'The Brain' Pardew has the officials attention for standing too close to the touchline. It's almost as if McMahon has already bought us.... -
Definitely the most up and down in regard to results and performances - humping teams one week and getting humped the next as well as inspired performances from the team followed by performances like Fulham and West Brom away. We generally have a decent or poor season with regards to form with a few 'blips' along the way, but there is no form to this team this year. We either turn up or we don't, and don't guess at half time which way the match is going as the team may either turn up or go home during those 15 minutes.

Harper's Elbow (Most Electrifying Move In Football)

Who were that team that we were playing again Steve Harper? -
Nobbled against ManUre if I recall correctly. Plus we had the backlog of fixtures to contend with. Imagine ManUre playing four matches in the last eight days of that season. Fergusons purple nose would have blown up. The media always talk about Asprilla and Batty coming in and spoiling the shape of the team when they were arguably two of the better performers in the latter part of the season. Asprilla was a great entertaining player while he was here but couldn't form any real partnerhips as nobody knew what he was going to do next, and has been mentioned we got the cash back on the transfer so you couldn't really say he was a failure. Silvio Maric was a failure. Andreas Anderssssssonnnn was a failure. Luque was a failure. Asprilla - no chance.
-
Yup, the three that we have up front now are a wretched bunch, but were not that much better with Shola available to be honest. You've got to wonder if peddling the manager and top striker at the club in such a short time has had a devastating effect on the 'team spirit' that Hughton had manged to instill at the club as well.
-
That's not very realistic.
-
Don't forget Lovernkrands. We've got Ranger's ability to endanger the corner flags as well though. All four will do enough to keep us up. Far more than Owen, Viduka and Martins did when we got relegated. That's a bit harsh on Viduka to be honest as he at least looked like he wanted to try when he pulled himself out of his sickbed. I just don't trust the current lot to get five goals between them before the end of the season. And no, I'm not taking on any piss-related bet to back this up.
-
And I'll go one further - we've constantly failed to address squad shortage and have actually weakened our squad to the point where one fucking injury is going to seriously fuck up our season in every position.
-
Too fucking true. Unfortunately. Nothing more than a pittance from today will get invested back into the team.
-
Of course it is. We've been fucked over by some cunt the club made who claimed to love the club in one and got a player in for nowt as a journeyman who delivered far more than we hoped with much more heart than we expected in in the other.

Worst possible outcome in the transfer window for us. The other relegation candidates have strengthend. We've lost more than we've brought in, including our best player and will never see the cash invested back in the team and have brought in one player of questionable ability / attitude. It's almost a repeat of January 09 but we actually paid cash for the player coming in back in 09.
