  1. That's the worrying thing. Can't see nothing more than another humping this weekend to be honest - the shitter than shit home form coupled with having a central defence cobbled together from two of three of the unfit, the infirm or the incapable.
  2. Makes Bedtner look like a fucking professional football player. Glad the cunts gone off as he's managed to do Spurs' defending for them on a few occaisions today. What a useless statement. What a useless retort. At least let us know how that's a useless statement. Chamahk has broken up Arses' play in good areas due to his lack of a decent touch several times today.

  4. Aye - do you think they'd risk Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard or Terry if they had a niggling injury. Or it's more a case of would they be allowed to.
  5. It was even worse when I was a season ticket holder in the East Stand - daring to shout, sing or stand at any point for any reason ended up with the miserable wankers around you looking at you as if you had three heads or were a nutjob or whinging that you were blocking thier view for a split second.
  6. Fuck off Andy Grey! Turner should have been booked for the second time a minute or two back and you weren't going mental over that. Worried your ManUre butt buddies are going to get cast adrift further if Chelsea win?
  7. This season has definitely given a couple of worrying insights into the workings of our FA. Firstly, they have decided to reinterpret the retrospective punishment law to mean that if the referee says that he saw it but didn't deem it necessary of punishment then it's OK and that incident is swept under the rug. Isn't that why that rule was brought into the game as it was too fast for one man to control and on further inspection an incident may have been a bit more serious than first thought? Up until the Ben Arfa debacle we were always told that the only time that this rule couldn't be invoked was if the player had already been punished, i.e. booked for the incident. What the referees have actually done is admit that they are incompetent as they have clearly seen a red card incident and failed to act. Secondly, from the match on Wednesday the FA have just about admitted that their restropective law policy is dictated by Match of the Day / Sky Sports News. They have (rightfully) given a ban on a player for violent conduct. From the same match, a player has apparently commited the same act but the media haven't decided to go all 'witch-hunty' on them and he is free to play this weekend.
  8. I'm not saying he's not unstable - he clearly has a record of it. What I am saying is that due to his past he doesn't get treated to the same protection that the rules of the game are supposed to give and has finally cracked, which is what teams have been doing most of the season as they know that they will get away with it.
  9. What a bag of shit. An idiotic thing for him to do but so far this season the referees have made it clear that you can kick him up a height and get away with it, and sometimes it is that small incident that will finally make you snap in the face of constant provocation. When you step onto the football pitch you are governed by the same set of rules, but this is not the case with this one player and the media help them get away with it as any incident against him is either glossed over as 'it's only Joey Barton and he deserves it' or blown out of proportion due to his reputation.
  10. Doesn't matter if it's not 'that bad' or if we come back and win this - the only thing that the media will talk about will be this and Barton will get a 3 match ban.
  11. Get in! Thought there was something up when the server went apeshit on refresh!
  12. Where are we thin on the ground? Keeper (at the minute) Left full back- on the right have three so called specialist players but skill is spread pretty thin Wingers Decent central midfielders Strikers The left full back and both wingers have needed reinforcing for a couple of seasons now. In reality, we couldn't be able to cover an outbreak of the common cold, never mind a plane crash.
  13. Wearside missed out as his only relevant experience was on the other end of the phone....
  14. You're not going to get 100% of the decisions correct all of the time, but refs are failing to enforce the rules against the so called 'bigger clubs'. Taking the match two weeks ago into account it comes down to the key decisions that were not enforced against Man City - the foul on Ben Arfa, the blatant penalty and failing to give Tevez the yellow for over celebration. He had a clear view for the two fouls and didn't give either and didn't enforce the rules and give Tevez a yellow. Strangely, Tevez was booked yesterday after his crowd surfing antics caused a mini pitch invasion. In the same match after Ben Arfa was crocked he stopped play for minor contact by Shola, but allowed an uncontrolled tackle to go unpunished. Plus the ref didn't have the best view of the penalty that he gave but didn't hesitate to point to the spot when he should have consulted his linesman - a carbon copy of the Beye sending off against the same opposition two years ago. The reasoning for the FA not going back to review the De Jong challenge are bogus as well, as the ref claims he saw it and dealt with it - I call bullshit on that as he saw it and failed to act, which is exactly the reason those reviews are allowed in the sport. If I was part of The FA I would be very worried that we had referees that admit that they saw such a wild challenge from a few yards away and will let it go.
  15. You take control of the situation - he was brushed of the ball by his own player. Watch most capable defenders and they will actually knock their own bloke out of the way to get to the ball instead of being touched and standing there waiting for thier team mate to do it. I clearly was exposed by my own lack of proof reading and actually wrote a sentence that makes no sense. I would like to state that I was actually thinking two replies in advance, and wasn't expecting to be having to defend myself within two more posts.
  16. Sorry like - as a defender you are supposed to take control of the situation, and for the first goal he didn't. If the nudge by Williamson was enough to put him off then he shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch. I would understand being caught up the field for the second later in the game, but he'd just been exposed one minute before by the same player that he left unmarked and was punished for it. When you conced a soft goal like the first thing you go is try to regroup, not get yourself into a position that you have no hope of actually doing your primary task.
  17. Goal 1 - Perch was behind N'Zogbia and Williamson, allowing N'Zogbia to have a run at the blindsided defender and head the ball in the net. Goal 2 - Perch was nowher fucking near the man he should have been taking care of one fucking minute after he's just fucking scored and was in the fucking clear when he recieved the fucking ball.
  18. He's stuck out on the 'wrong flank' because he's convinced himself, and has convinced the coaching staff, that he's a left sided player. He's not. You can play a right sided player on the left if he's got a cracking shot when he cuts inside and is capable with his weaker foot, neither capability he posesses.
  19. A dreadful performance - too many players failed to actually turn up for the match. However, how the linesman has failed to spot that handball? It doesn't deflect away from the shitness of the team on the night, but sometimes shit matches are decided by those sort of incidents, and England we're denied again by a referee and his assistants that failed to enforce the laws of the game.
  20. Surely it's just more of an indication to the FA of the incompetence or bias of a ref who saw an uncontrolled over-aggresive tackle at point blank range and failed to acknowledge it with a free-kick, never mind the red that it deserved. Never mind the fact that he played on for a few seconds until giving a soft free kick against us for a powder-puff non-challenge.
  21. Rob 'The Cunt' Styles Steve 'Bellend' Bennett Martin 'There's no corruption in the game' Atkinson You can guarantee that for the big descisions in matches refereeing against us, it will all be one way traffic. I'd have put Shitbag Webb in that category as well, but the penalty decision against the Mackems shows that he must really fucking hate those mongs. He must still go to bed and wank himself into oblivion each night knowing that he made the incorrect decision that ultimately sent us down last time.
  22. If a British player by the name of Joey Barton had broken another players leg today they'd have had the gallows built and had him strung up by half time.
  23. Nah, it wasn't on Barton, so he'll be a dirty bastard tonight. They'll probably use the Barton incident at sometime tonight and be saying that he should have been sent off in that match as well, minus the schoolgirl giggling.
