Sunderland appoint Steve 'I bleed black and white' Bruce as new manager

Even his lovely, delicious ice cream? Although there is Mr Whippy, I suppose.... -
I'm going for 'Worried' or 'Very Worried' - we currently have salable assets on the books, where money raised may have been re-invested back into the squad, and money coming in from previous sales (Given / Milner / N'Zogbia). Now where will these funds be going, funds from sales as well as the three-year-deal season ticket money. Cancel your direct debits FFS. Cheers Mike you gutless fucker. Destroy the club and fuck off. Balls of steel .

It's not because of these 'redundancies' - it's the whole shambolic structure of the club. The people that are responsible for us being in the position that we're are still getting a big fat wedge week after week, under no threat of being made 'redundant'. This is just the straw that broke the camels back for me as these are not redundancies - these are sackings of staff that would have still been required next year if we were in the top league, and will still have been required next year.
-
Redundant means you have no role in the job you're currently doing - these people have been chopped for cost cutting measures alone which is a fucking joke when you think that the cummulative wages for these people are probably less than a couple of weeks worth of wages for around two or three of the charlatans that have taken us down. Admin staff always get the shit end of the stick - if they were needed last year they will still be needed next year. This has just made my mind up, no matter what the prices are next year. Fuck it and fuck this club. Shove your fucking season ticket up your fucking arse.
-
Would take a look at seeing what David Nugent would cost - will be pushed even further down the pecking order over the summer and I cannot see him being on mega-wages. Was a cracking player in the Championship and we could be a team he would step down for to rebuild his career / confidence.

Wouldn't have done as bad for the past couple of years with that guy in charge to be homest.

Pwnage: Barcelona bum Man Utd 2-0, win the CL

Don't know about that, it looks fucking lovely on HD. Got HD as well, still think it looks fucking shite compared to matches from stadiums in other nations. (That meaning previous finals.) I know what you mean, it's like one of the horrible perspective cams that FIFA (the game) experiments with every couple of years. -

Being the third crappest town in Britain in 2004. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crap_Towns Oh, and John Humble. (Wearside Jack is the 4th Most Popular pre-fill item on google searching for Wearside) -
People may think I'm mental, but I'd have given him an opportunity at Center Forward at some point last year.

If we were a stable club then no. But most of the instability has come from leadership (or lack of it) shown over the past two years, from managers, directors of football, caretaker managers , putting the club on the market, interim mangers, taking the club off the market, selling prize assets and failure to effectively invest the money back into the club. I don't trust the man to not have us back on the market as soon as the economy shifts back into gear (or before that if he gets desperate), so yes I would take another take-over - as long as it is not by another mug-punter who hasn't got the finances to actually put something into the squad.

Yes But this time, with Shearer hopfully at the helm, surely we will start the season with more than one capable player in each of the full back positions (NOT Ryan Taylor). Good news this (as long as Ashley doesn't sell) as he is one of about four of the present first team I'd keep. Ryan Taylor is more than adequate in the Championship. He frightens me more than Titus ever did to be honest - he'll still make the same mistakes in the lower leagues but won't be punished as much.
-
Think it was more of a 'you're fit, you're in' for the team on Sunday to be honest. Bit disappointed to see him go, as he could have made a decent squad player in the Fizzy Pop.

Mods, the RELGATIONOMETER has served it's purpose and propose a lock. Farewell, and hopefully we shall never be in need of the likes of this again. On to the PROMOTIONOMETER (hopfeully not to be renamed RELEGATIONOMETER 2009/2010)

Fucking spot on. thirded - his 70k p/w or whatever it may actually be is most likely the motivating factor behind his "loyalty" Or the fact that his past years of under-achievement make him feel under threat for some reason......
-
Sorry, but he 'may care' and have had a few 'good matches' but he is one of the reasons why we are now where we are - an underperforming, overpaid charlatan who is living on past reputation. Not the only one at the club though. You can't have five good matches in three years and then blub about it when the inevitable happens.

Liverpool Vs Us when all that Kuyt was intent on doing when was blocking the keeper and led to a goal that hasn't been called by the referee since apart from against us. Vs Nolan imepding the keeper when the ref thought it happend when he couldn't actually see what happened through a crowd of players and took a guess.
-
Yes we've been shit, but pick out another decison that's gone our way.
-
One point would have done it - at least one point that we earned. Sky would have been all over this if we were the paper cockeneys, the bin dippers or the red scum.

I'm waiting in my cold cell When the bell beging to chime reflecting on my past life as it doen't have much time as at five o'clock, they take me to the gallows pole the sans of time, for me, are running low......

I dread every moment he get the ball at his feet. Those cross field fifty yard 'Hollywood' passes that either end up going out for a goal kick or cut out and put back into the postion his legs can no longer get him back into putting us under pressure. His legs were gone well before he came here though - Ferguson never lets a player leave to join a team in the same league if they're not finished.
