  1. He backs off far too much when defending as a full back, but it does give him the opportunity to come forward which he does a lot (too much for a centre half) when he has the ball. Give him an opportunity as a centre forward next year, we could unearth the new Chris Sutton !
  2. An away match at Villa for one of the league's worst away performers or a home match vs Manure Reservists and youth team. Yes. I'd take the swap please.
  3. It all about position of defenders. Vidic had support close at hand from Ferdinand if I remember, which means it wasn't obvious goal-scoring, whilst Bassong was last man. Rules is rules. The Fulham player was heading away from goal thirty five yards out - Martins was past the defender about to have a clear crack at goal, Ferdinand wouldn't have got near him. Clint Dempsey was booked and then took a dive to try and earn a penalty, which is in itself a bookable offence. Webb took it upon himself to ignore the rules of the game and didn't give him his second. But it all in the interpretation of the rules isn't it - which Howard Webb has a history of interpreting against us.
  4. Think it had more to do with the fact that he was almost constantly injured, and when he was actually available had clearly been training down at Greggs rather than the training ground. If the club had given him a contract it would have been more of the same. Being retired from the game by not being signed up for six months has given him a kick up the arse, but he has to bring it into next year. Two years worth of Greggs money guaranteed could just about revert him back to his Jabba The Hutt stages again. Still, the injury prone fat cunt is in a team trading place with us for next season.
  5. Howard Webb should have never been invoved in this fixture - he has previous from the 4-1 we had three years back. Amazing that he was actually able to actually see though a crowd of players today, but was unable to see Shearer get hacked down on a number of occasions in match changing situations in that fixture when he had a clear view. If Bassong went off for that then surely Vidic should have went off against us for chopping down Martins on the edge of the area when he was through on goal vs Man U. These things are supposed to 'even themselves out' over a season, but we have got a hell of a lot more dubious decisions given against us than for us again this year.
  6. It's still not the same without 'the scoreboard' though.......
  7. bollocks.....he just whinges when he can't have his own way. How many times has he played "Mind games" with opponent's, for example with Keegan in 96. he didn't. he whinged about others trying harder against his team than others. if steve mclaren does it it's whigning, if roeder does it its whinging,if ferguson does it it's mind games. he's the spoilt brat of football who whinges when he can't get his own way. he did try it deliberatly once...the season after with wenger and it blew up in his face. It wasn't even whinging about others trying harder - he basically brought the game into disrepute and insinuated that Leeds were going to go out and throw the match against us. The FA didn't even raise an eyebrow. It's the sort of shit that he's gotten away with for years. If a manager - other than Ferguson - dares to say that a referee has been a bit shit they throw the book at them.
  8. Dribbler (Was going to go for Jigsaw but was beaten to it)
  9. Thank the lord for that one. Had them pushed back for most of the match, and the subs were made at the right time when we were flagging. Thought the atmosphere went off the scale after Martins' winner went in, taunting the Smogs with that stupid bloody tune. It's in our own hands now, which is the main thing, but Fulham on Saturday isn't going to be easy.
  10. Shit manager, but had the bollocks to take us on. Completely mental as well. The man who gave us the Cupcake Dog. Probably couldn't beleive that he was being given the opportunity when it came his way - like most Newcastle fans.
  11. Pique's hand never went towards the ball, but as I said, he shouldn't have had his hand sticking out and would have not been surprised if it was given.
  12. The Pique penalty - seen them given on many occaisions. Was more ball to hand but shouldn't have been doing an 'I'm a little teapot' in the penalty area. The 'two in the first half' - nee chance. Drogba's hissy fit on the second put Ferguson's in the FA Cup match to shame. Haven't seen the one in the last few minutes again. But the red card was a joke which put them a player down as well as the goal down. Little Jamie says EVERY decision went against them though
  13. Followed Ballack and tried to attack the ref.
  14. Making a sub at a corner - bad things ahead....
  15. F*** OFF!!! EDITED as it's at the top of the page for the very easily offended. Like the s*** ref in this match.
  16. 'Cos he's Didier Drogba' you unbiased Scottish Cnut is the answer.
