  1. Aye, cheers Shay. We'll take your lovely words of concern for us and use them as a nice base to build our promotion campagin on next year. Much more useful than having you in goal for us for the last four and a half months of this campaign. Cheers for throwing such a hissy fit that any power that we had regarding the transfer was gone and we got nowhere near your real value in the transfer.
  2. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. FUCK!!!! Come on The Arse. Or Barcelona of course.
  3. Anderson has been complete shit tonight. Carrick has been equally as shit though.
  4. That's one of the things that make the 'winnable' matches quite depressing.
  5. Oooh, Given beaten from distance easily there
  6. I would be inclined to agree with you on most of that, but Keegan was the only one out of that lot who was trying to get him out of the door and it was only the fact that teams were shocked at the fact we were asking them for money to take him off our hands that he ended up back in our squad when September rolled in. You can say what you like about Keegan's management, but at least he was able to recognise the fact that Shola is fucking dogshit.
  7. Not confident - the corresponding home fixture Collocini, our 10 million pound defender, got beaten up and outfoxed by thier 10 bob strikforce.
  8. He's my choice for Player of the Year to be honest. Liverpool's bad patch came when he wasn't available or just playing from the bench - when he plays Liverpool play. Simples.
  9. Was anyone else watching Rooney's run and thinking 'He's not stupid enough to play that back pass'.
  10. No, they only scored six.... As a season ticket holder myself, I cant recall him looking 'epic' at any point of the season - he got an easy ride for his shortcomings at the ground and on this board because he cost a lot / was something different / wasn't Steven Taylor who has taken a lot of the shit on this board (a lot of it being deserved). It's now that it's come to the thin end of the wedge and we are right in the shit that he is getting the stick for the shortcomings that he has shown throughout his time here, escpecially as he hasn't had the big lads to play alongside the past match and a half which has only magnified these more. Still, at least he's not Cacapa.
  11. Wise leaving and Dowie signing up make this look like more than just a temporary thing to be honest.
  12. Another mad decision from our owner. Waits a month and a half for a knackered so-so manager to come back, leaving Hughton in charge and then finally decides to replace him with an inexperienced (but potentially inspirational) ex-player. With regard to Shearer though, this is a no lose situation for him as if it all goes up shit-creek then he's not going to be held accountable and he can walk away at the end of the season getting the 'Shearer for Manager' campaign to stop turning up at St James' to parade for the Sky cameras the next time we need a manager. If we don't go down he's an even bigger legend than he was three years ago.
  13. The starting eleven for Newcastle vs Blackpool on the opening day of next season GK - Harper RB - Taylor CB - Edgar (will be signed up to a new contract within 48 hours of relegation being confirmed) CB - FPP LB - FPP RW - FPP CM - Butt (Club Captain) CM - Lua Lua LW - FPP (or possibly Duff if we can't give him away) CF - Caroll CF - Ameobi FPP - Fizzy Pop Player, could be anyone from the 'Championship' downwards. Away, in order of leaving the sinking ship in Uncle Mike's Fire Sale Owen - Free, to Wigan Viduka - Free, to the pie shop Smith - Nominal Fee, to some idiot coming up Jonas, 4m (given up trying to guess where they're going) Barton - 1.5m Collocini - 5m Guthrie - 2m S Taylor - 2.5m Nolan - 2.5m Enrique - 3m Beye - 1.5m Martins 7m Bassong - 6m Duff - Free transfer, if we can give him away Cacapa - Will turn up for the first day of pre-season, hoping nobody realises his contract is up
  14. He might just be a big fan of Drum Workshop. The size of the Sports Direct logo on the Gallowgate though, I'm surprised it's not been renamed St James' Park, Sponsored by Sports Direct (to the tune of £40,000).
  15. Wish he'd stayed at Wigan too. Has been fucking awful since he came and has made two match changing errors in the last home matches. Unfortunately, he will be first choice right back next year, as Habib won't want to hang round to play in the Fizzy Pop.
  16. The 'players' that we have are too gutless to get us out of this one, and will mostly be looking at ways out of here now. The so called winnable games coming up (we've won six in thirty matches, without a home win in three months - even against winnable opposition) are a bag of shit as well. All that Portsmouth or Stoke have to do is take a miminum of a point against us. On current form I think that's more likely than us winning any of them to be honest.
  17. Think he's going to get found out if we don't get one of the bigger lads back to help him in the next couple of matches. Looked lost after Bassong and then Taylor went off.
  18. Wouldn't worry yourself - when we get relegated the sheep-hearted mercanaries that make up our squad will suddenly not want to be here.
  19. I would love to say one or the other, but if we don't get relagation under Kinnear this year, it will come next year.
  20. I think I was saying this a year ago.... I agree with the sentiments of the interview, it's just ironic that the comments are being made by one of the men in the areas that needs an overhaul. If you were saying it a year ago, then you looked pretty stupid by the end of the season after Butt had been superb in the last 10-12 games. 'Superb Grand; magnificent; august; stately; elegant; excellent; grand; Mediocre of moderate or low quality, value, ability, or performance Snake Oil Common usage of the phrase is as a derogatory term for compounds offered as medicines which implies that they are fake, fraudulent, quackish, or ineffective. Nicky Butt Jesus, is he still playing. I remember he was good like ten years ago, but like... Shit, he got his contract renewed. Are Newcastle in the Championship, or something... Oh... right.'

  22. Only if all the managers in the top three divisions of every single league in Europe turn the job down. Why only keep the criteria for a relplacement down to the top three divisions?
  23. West Ham have crippling debts, we have fuck all to spend to bring these players in (and hidden debt to boot). Can't see much happening to be honest.
  24. Sticking to 10. It's not the matches like yesterday, or the ManUre game that will end up biting us on the arse, but failing to take maximum points against Wigan and Stoke - those four points dropped in the last minute are looking massive now. Plus, we have not won at home now for just under three months - that is in itself relegation form.
