  1. Luca Modric - we avoided the bullet on this one didn't we! Went missing after the first twenty minutes of all of Croatia's matches in Euro 2008 and hasn't turned up for the first twenty (or remaining seventy) at all this season.
  2. Definitley need at least two of those back by next week. As long as we get the Beye that was playing from March - May and not the one that started this season. Was I the only one that noticed Xisco fall over and knacker his finger in he first minute, and then come out with his hand strapped up in the second. Deja Vu? Spanish 'International'. Not too good really. Hand Injury? Nooooooooo!!
  3. Name One Better? The ones who didn't play a stupid fucking blind back pass to set up the first goal. He made Cacapa look accomplished at times. I've said it before, but any team that has Nicky Butt's name as one of the first on the team sheet is in serious trouble. We are a team in serious trouble though. In no way am i trying to say that Butt is a good player...but imo he was our best tonight....because they were all absolute shit or just weren't given the opportunity on the ball. Name One Better? EH, ARE YOU ON FUCKING DRUGS? No comment. If you honestly think that that Butt was the 'best' Newcastle player out there tonight then I've got to go with Jawesome on this one. He failed to hit a black and white shirt with most of his alleged passing (no change there) and if you class putting in effort as jogging behind whichever opponent had the ball and fouling them if they meandered close enough (no change there either) then fine - he was man of the match in that regard.

  5. Is that including Nile Ranger like we are having to do at the minute on the subs bench.
  6. Rozenthal and Triosi also gone - so down in numbers really. I've said before that we have in real terms strengethend by replacing the deadwood and most of the sick notes, but the lack of full back cover is crucifying the team at the minute - we either play a reserve centre half there or a left winger who does'nt really want to be here, never mind playing out of position. Plus, any team that in most likelyhood has the name Nicky Butt as one of the first on the team sheet is really going to struggle. Plus we haven't got a right winger either.

  8. The first team has improved - when players are fit. The squad is just as thin as it was last season perhaps even thinner, as is being shown by the subs on the bench. Football isn't about having eleven goodish players and that's it any more.
  9. It will open up a rip in the time / space continuum that the creators of the Large Hadron Collider could only dream of
  10. So judging by last year that cash should still be in the bank then
  11. I would find it funny if Ebay insisted these funny people pay the listing fees & sellers fee's And so they should - once was a laugh but there have been enough of these now that they should charge admin fees to get them removed. as I have said in the past though - we need an owner who is somewhere between the insane over bidder and the break even at all costs fire-sale merchant.
  12. Hey - I've tried to point that out on a few occasions! I'd just like to point out that a lot of the more vociferous people who are pro-Ashley also appear to be people who haven't actually shelled out cash to go and watch the team. I could respect that opinion a lot more if Shepherd hadn't used that argument to hire Roeder. He was "the fans choice" remember? Eh? What has Shepherds lying got to do with that. Unless I've struck a nerve. Didn't Shepherd justify appointing Roeder on the back of support he got from the fans at the ground? It was the fans appointment remember? Or do you suffer from selective Alzheimer's Disease? But can you remember the outcry to get Roeder installed as boss or do you suffer from selective Alzheimer's Disease. I remember Hitzfeld being a firm fan favourite, but the liar telling everyone that Roeder was the fan's choice and Hitzfeld was a betting scam.
  13. I'm not coming back in the next two days It might have died down by then. You evil bastard.

  16. That sure is a nice pretty speech. Pity that his love for the club didn't extend to coming back to Britian when his self-appointed director of football and new 'chairman' were making such a pig's ear of the day to day running of the club and driving he team manager out of the door. Why not step in and make sure that we get the players that we needed - we were not expecting to sign the likes of Berbatov, Robhinio or Ronadinhio. What we did want was to expand on the squad that we had and actually get cover in the places where we were thin on the ground such as the full back that Keegan talked about for six months. We are in a terrible situation with the squad four matches in, with injuries and suspensions with no back up to bring in. Watching football since Mexico 86 he should have realised that football is a squad game.
  17. Would love to see the accounts after he has gone regarding wages, transfers, debt clearance and where the hell the Sky money from last year has gone. If the rumours about the debt are correct and it's just been moved to a loan from him then it wouldn't surprise me to see more slack-jaws at the doors of Sports World with pitch forks and flaming torches. In his fourteen or so months that he's been here he has proved to be big in words but failed to deliver, making up for his failings with excuses.
  18. What we needed was somewhere in between Fat Fred and Fat Ash - an owner who didn't throw money around that they couldn't afford and someone who holds a fire-sale every time that the transfer window comes around. What has happened to the Sky money BTW. Not tht we'll find out as the accounts are now a closed book to the outside world.
  19. If we don't manage to get Anal in the next few days why not go for Denis Wise, just to prove to fuckwit that he is completely incapable at any task in the realms of football management.
  20. I'm going to have to go down the un-natural route I'm afarid. The way it's gong at the minute football hasn't got that much of a life left in it and I'd at least like to see some silverware come our way before it dies.
  21. One - it hasn't been clarified how he has paid this debt, whether it is gone or whether it is via a currently intrest free loan to be passed on to the next buyer, two - nobody has ever been able to verify the value of the bebt, three - taking into account the value of players sold in the past three transfer windows we are either just over 5 million pound down or well in the black. This summer we are either 5.75 million or .75 million down depending whether or not Jonas cost us a fee since he bought his contract out. Staggering sums either way - I don't think so.
  22. He might as well give up now - anything that he does is going to be scrutinised and punished harshly whereas anything done to him will be overlooked due to who he is. Just like when we had Lee Bowyer in the team.
  23. None whatsoever. This squad has been thin since he came through the door and when investmentment has been required we've got excuses rather than players. Aug '07 we've just taken over the club, Jan '08' the massive debt has been paid off, Jul 08 the wage bill is too high and the latest being that there was debt owed on players brought in previously even though the massive debt had already been paid off. Last season the transfer budget was in the black, this year we've spent either around 5.75 million or so assuming Jonas cost the rumoured 5m or .75 million if he came on a free. We have no recognised fit left back, even though this position has been singled out by Keegan since January, but the personnel team were unable to provide. Good enough reasons to question how this club is being ran I'd say.
