Seeing the Yorkshire Look North is weird because all the brandling, style, music, name etc is the same but with strangely unfamiliar scenes and presenters, it's like seeing TV from Shelbyville. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001hkqd/look-north-yorkshire-late-news-23012023

He also wrote to the wrong Look North
  3. To be fair in this case it was for stopping the game so some woman could get medical attention rather than helping an opposing player up, or admitting a handball. Although it would have been funny if one of the players kicked off about it in such a manner anyway
  4. "This action saw the referee issue the never-before-seen white card to both sets of staff, in recognition of their sportsmanship. The awarding of the card was cheered and applauded by the watching crowd at the Estadio da Luz. As JOE report, the white card is designed to show recognition to clubs for acts of fair play during a match, in a bid to 'improve ethical value in the sport'." Sounds like how they'd play football on Planet Softcunt.

Please tell me the mackems tried to get that going and got something like "You're the shit of Tyne and Wear" in reply.

They were getting annoyed with Geordies posting screenshots on Twitter of their stupidity and ripping the piss, as far as I can tell.

Presumably he's also targeting Ronaldo on Twitter?
  10. Why do Forest need players on loan, have they not bought like 25 players since being promoted? Suppose if they need striker cover, it would be good to loan them Wood over the alternative because then he'll be cup tied and leave them light upfront for the final
  11. Sky has been telling me since I was 15 that Newcastle fans would rather lose 4-3 than win 1-0 so I, for one, am livid.
  12. Was on the metro on the way back from the match and my mate text me "That guy to our left looks like an older, fatter Steve Watson." It was indeed Steve Watson.

Looks like the title screen of an Atari 2600 game.

Didn't he get a flash new haircut, breaking lockdown laws, and then immediately post photos of it on his socials, dobbing in both himself and the lad who styled it for him? Thick as mince.

If the PIF deal goes through, watch this thread on the evening of 28th of January when the Royal Rumble is on to see how many of them are willing to give up even a casual passtime or interest out of outrage at Saudi ownership https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/wrestling-part-3.1015489/page-1828

Still go on about their many visits to "Wembo". it's hilarious that they've had to hide their thread about us in a members section because they're so embarrassed about their reactions.
  18. Only thing I fear in this competition is City over two legs, reckon we can win or draw on our day against them in a final but coming out on top after both home and away ties would be an effort.
  19. Nice closeup of Longstaff after that chance to easily lipread "How the FUCK did I miss that?" Dunno Sean, you tell me...
  20. Just want to apologise for tonight's defeat, had a panic and booked the final off work before the rotas are published just in case, jinxing the entire competition.
  21. So linesmen nowadays flag just in case - not because they've seen someone is offside, but because they dunno and they feel they might as well let VAR decide. VAR then can't get an angle and doesn't know, so goes back to the decision of the linesman who also doesn't know, ruling out a goal with no evidence of an infraction. I reckon if VAR was active for our match a flag would have gone up for both the offside goals, but as it was it seemed too big a responsibility to be the sole arbiter and rule off the goal
