I think people need to look at the reasons for his behaviour. His reaction may be far more palatable if you consider what/who he's been telling with since Jan. Any arbitration panel/judge who considers his actions won't be from the viewpoint of the common fan. All Ashley & Co will have to argue is that his actions are potentially damaging to the club/club's reputation/owner's reputation/whatever-other-clause. I fail to see how any arbitration panel not made up entirely from members of N-O would side with Barton.

if a tree falls in the woods and no one's around to blame Joey Barton is Ashley still at fault?

kingkerouac clearly a plant by the powers that be to deflect attention away from mike and del boy

"42m worth" we've sold 20m worth, and that's being generous. If you believe Carroll is worth 35m I've got a bridge you might be interested in. Not that "net spend" matters in the slightest.

You ... um. You see five more players coming in? Even if it made financial sense to do so ... I don't even ... where how. No. Just ... I wish I was optimistic.

Why? There won't be any trouble if the owner of his new club is a bit better than Mike Ashley. No employers keep all their employees happy all the time though. You know you have to handle him with kid gloves or walk in the next morning to reports of him tweeting about how "all the #helmets up top are ruining this proud and great football club with it's long history #NYredbulls"
-
Wonder if he'd sign a contract that included shutting down his twitter account. No employer pleases everyone all the time and I'm sure no one would want even the potential of the PR disaster for them that would be Barton tweeting discontentedly.

Cannot even begin to fathom the depth of the turd swamp we'd be sinking in if Pardew resigned at this point. No one in the world would come in. it's the beginning of the 2011/12 season, and nufc cant afford to lose Alan Pardew I'd cry but I'm at work.

Name one. Nut. Ughhh ... ok, name a sane one.

I cannot even in fun or jest agree to keeping an ameobi around

What are the chances people are vastly overrating N'Zogbia on the back of us not landing him (or maybe ever being in for him)?

I'm enamored with the phrase "proper raging"

They can be very, very persuasive. http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lo18ptSTKg1qbrkr9o1_500.png Llambias "forcing" Colocinni into handing in a transfer request. "Mr. Williamson, how did you break your arm?" "I believe it was a boaking accident."

A lot of fans do think like that these days, they have been brainwashed into thinking like little mini accountants rather than football fans. Look at this board for absolute proof Agree - full of c*nts trying to add up to £35 million. http://i.imgur.com/Cytxo.jpg

What is this? Rent-a-mong night? Pre-existing bias? Give it a f***ing rest man. How much more evidence do you need that the players don't trust the people running the club? Whether they do or don't, pretending that they're white knighting for the sake of the fans is going too far. I have a healthy distrust of the motives of any professional athlete, no matter where they stand on issues, and enrique/barton/anyone rightfully (imo) getting digs in at MA/DL doesn't equate to them looking out for us. That's all.
