If we can count decent as overall forward contribution and not just goals ... Bellamy?
-
Still very unsure what numbers + quality we'd get in if we're front loading 5 years worth of wages. We need a lot though. Guessing we'll continue to swoop for prospects from Ligue 1+La Liga. Do your magic, scouting team Voted 25-30 regardless.

If £10m went on strikers i would be more than happy, nevermind £30m Really? I'd be a bit disappointed tbh. It's imperative we upgrade the striking department if we're ever going to get back into a European challenge. There's no way the (majority of the) rest of the side aren't capable. I saw the football we played at times yesterday - it was sumptuous at various points, and not for the first time. We're three quality upgrades from being a seriously good outfit. CB, ST, ST, with the return of Hatem and there's every chance of a serious shot at sixth position next year. I just hope the mysterious second-season-syndrome doesn't settle in. I hope the guys in charge seriously do their research or it'll happen to us aswell. Instead of just a CB, I think we could honestly do with a Hughes-like player as cover for the back four. Not someone who'd have to be outstanding in every position but just a better option than playing others out of position. Worried to shit over what would happen if Enrique is out for any period of time.

Pardew just spouts shit about not selling out best forward then admits he was misleading us. Won't be the first or last time that will happen in football, no idea why everyone is acting so butthurt over it.

The Newcastle Late Disappointment machine is firing on all cylinders.

Jonas at least doing ... something. Not sure if that knock early on took it out of him but he's been lethargic for the first half.

I love you, immortal thread of the damned

Voted Barton, but tbh, with an extended run, if Best gets into double figures for the year that could be the difference between 8th and 18th. If he steps up 2nd half I'd vote for him. Tiote is total beastmode and that volley was superb but I don't feel his disciplinary problems are behind him yet. Will walk POTY 2011/2012 if he does calm down and add maybe another goal or two to his game.
-
Well he was (apparently) a highly rated striking prospect at one point and we are short of strikers.
-
tbh I'll be done with pardew if he puts loven on the wing again

Based on lineups ... ? http://i.imgur.com/FAYox.png Liverpool going to get bummed to death.

http://i.imgur.com/ktiXc.gif 1W1D7L in their last 9. This isn't a blip it's a malaise.
-
Only if it's long term. But just imagine making £55m on 3 permacrocks if so. Holy shit.
-
What a fucking goal by Tiote. I came.
-
Gosh if we're getting tonked by dross like arsenal 17th sounds really good. giantest pair of fucking rolleyes you'll ever see

£20k/week? Wow, I bet we'll attract some right talent with those wages. Maybe ten years ago. So the severe salary cap has been lifted? Even if 20k is a little on the low side do you see it really being higher than 35k? A long spell of attempting to unearth cheap foreign talent is in our future.
-
Allowing for four year contracts, a £5m player becomes a £9m one (on 20k/w =~ £1m/yr), so probably 3 or 4 players in within that budget would make more sense. Our scouting team better keep producing Tiotes.

Shola is dead. Long live shola.
-
Was just thinking that. Leon we've fleshed out a new contract worth £18 a week for you.
-
If we'd sold him 24 hours earlier, do you think we'd be in a better position? Well an extra day is an extra day, so yes. Do you feel otherwise?

- Liverpool want (try) to play a quick short passing game on the ground and have absolutely no need for a target man to knock down headers + hold up play. Who's their best crosser? Glen Johnson? It'll be a while before they get anything out of him, if they ever do.
