He's 20 ffs. Another past it mercenary looking for a final pay day then. "Sign young talent" my arse. Fuck off Ashley.
  2. I agree, it's hard to comprehend it. I find what works best is to just view it as a percentages game - it's all a matter of scale and things really change the higher up you go. Spending 1% of my salary today means I can buy a nice couch or decent TV. And probably not feel too much of a strain because of it. Bump me up into the millions/yr category and that 1% buys so many crazy things that I can't see spending money on now. at 2m/yr that 1% would buy that watch. He probably purchased it without thinking twice.

  6. Sorry but that is totally The fact is the current rule only rewards cynical cheats, which is a recurring story in Football these days, apparently that's the way you like it? Sorry but that is totally The fact is no one would be gushing out a cryphoon over this if Gyan had tucked it away. As it stands, a man got sent off, and a penalty was awarded and subsequently missed. Now everyone wants to just automatically award a goal based on a referee's split second judgement(was it going in or not) when they've already proven inept at handling the monumentally simpler task of deciding whether or not goals which DID go in count. Still no.
  7. A ball did not cross a line; a goal cannot be awarded. End of. That it did not cross the line due to a player committing a foul is immaterial.
  8. Damn dude, I'd hope there'd be some law enforcement action happening there, game be damned. I mean, I kind of see what you mean, but I'm not sure how to come up with a more plausible example.

I highly, highly doubt between the moment it left the Ghanaian players foot and he moment handballed, anyone on the ground knew for certain it was going in. They knew for certain he had handballed, but without stopping the game to review via slow mo replay is there any way to feel really comfortable with a referee who's possibly 10-15 yards out deciding on the spot it was going in based on the quarter of a second of action he saw? I wouldn't be comfortable with that, nor with stoppage of game. Red card + pen is justice done for me.
  10. What if there's someone behind the person who handballs whose abdomen/knee/weenus would have stopped the shot. Still award it or goal kick?

he cheated AND WAS PENALIZED for it. He was sent off. The other team were awarded a penalty, which THEY missed. Quit the bellyaching like he got away with it. It's only cheating if you get away with it.

"haha, sorry we're out of the world cup guys, but you know, handballs aren't allowed so I thought I'd save our digni-" *gets thrown off a still moving team bus*

Man, you do whatever you have to do to win - or at least give your team a shot at winning - except seriously injure someone. He couldn't stop it with his head, if he takes a red card at least the pen might get saved (or missed HAHAHA) so he made the right choice imo.
  14. Come on, Undertaker!! Make this!
  15. Number 75? I could get 00 or 99 or something, but 75?
  16. If brazil losing doesn't give you a semi you should see a doctor, regardless of your sex.
