  1. What the fook has cheesey chops wrighty got to do with anything and I mean anything? http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/3720/wrighthighburyheroestk2.jpg
  2. Our PS seems to have been very quiet and behind closed doors so far? Not the usual updates from .co.uk this year, or the players really. I suspect Keegan is keeping things like this for a reason, much like our transfer activity. Not got a problem with it if we come out all guns blazing (and not get hammered by Manure on the first day of the season!!)
  3. how many 16,17,18 and 19 year old strikers do we need? Buy 10 and hope 1 makes it - crazy. Owen and Rooney proved they could do it at the age of 16/17 so surely if these players really are that good they would have either made it or been snapped up already. Just a thought.
  4. Biggest load of bullshit ever, what a cock.
  5. According to A Mr Mark Andrews: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/37700-new-2008-2009-football-season-predictions-part-1 New 2008 / 2009 Football Season: Predictions, Part 1 . Mark Andrew looks to the new 2008 / 2009 football season, in the first of this three part article, he looks at the top flight and makes his predictions on the final look to the Premier League table, plus tournament winners and a brief explanation on his choices. by mark andrew (Analyst) July 14, 2008 Share this StoryEmail to a friend Print this article Send to Facebook Send to Digg Yahoo! BuzzCurrently UnEdited This article has not been edited yet. So the new 2008/2009 football season is almost upon us, that summer of pain almost to an end after the disappointment of the national team failing to make it to Euro 2008. So I'll make a few pre-season predictions on who will finish where and who will achieve what this season. Barclays Premier League Top six: Winners = Manchester United Runners up = Arsenal Third = Chelsea Fourth = Tottenham Uefa Cup = Man city and Liverpool Relegated: Stoke city Bolton Wanderers Newcastle United Player Of The Season: Cristiano Ronaldo / Manchester United Top Scorer: Dimitar Berbatov / Manchester United Manager Of The Season: Sir Alex Ferguson / Manchester United FA Cup Winners: Arsenal League Cup Winners: Chelsea First Manager To Be Sacked: Kevin Keegan Champions League Winners: Inter Milan Uefa Cup Winners: Manchester City So there are my predictions for the new football season. These are exactly what they say on the tin ...Predictions, my personal opinion, I know I'd be more special than Jose Mourinho If all these predictions end up to be right, I just thought I would let you know my initial thoughts on who will finish where, who will win what and who will shine. Newcastle—I'm sorry but after last season, I can only see this one getting worse, KK will get the chop and Newcastle United will be playing Championship football next season . Manchester united look strong enough to take three premier league titles in a row and have a new potential top scorer in Dimitar Berbatov after signing him for £28 million from Tottenham . I'm not sure about two Champions League titles in a row for my beloved reds, I truly hope we can win back to back European Cups but somehow i see that honour going to Inter Milan And special one Jose Mourinho in his first season in charge at the San Siro. Yes im Mad, I have Manchester City to win the Uefa Cup, and why not, they have a fantastic new manager in Mark Hughes, look at what he did at Blackburn in so little time, I feel better times ahead for the Blues. I really do think Arsenal will be strong this season, yes they had a poor season last season but I think after Eduardo's horror injury the whole team seemed to be affected by it. I see them winning the FA Cup and reaching the last eight of the Champions League, as well as being Premier League runners up. I see another quiet season for Chelsea in terms of impact on tournaments, I think they will avenge last seasons Carling Cup defeat by winning it back again and they will also reach the last eight in Europe. I've got Spurs to upset the top four by moving Liverpool out of there, this may seem somewhat optimistic given that Spurs have just sold prized asset Berbatov, however I feel Juande Ramos may feel success in terms of league position this year. I have Liverpool down for a miserable season, no trophies I feel and out of Europe before the last eight. And I think they will have to settle for a Uefa Cup spot in 2009/2010 season due to Spurs finally breaking the top four. I think Stoke City's stay in the Premier League will be a bit like Derby County's last year, only I don't think they will suffer as badly as Derby did. But still I see them relegated as well as Bolton Wanderers, their biggest mistake was not doing everything to keep Sam Allardyce, it was a big mistake, I have respect for Gary Megson but I don't think he can get the most out of Bolton like Allardyce could. 6. That means Smith will play - forbid. We have no one else who can play the third striker. 442 I reckon.

    Squad sizes

I agreed with everything you had said until I went back to the bit in bold. Shola and Smith, include permacrock pieman and we only have two strikers. The others are not ready or proven - yet. Otherwise, we definately need 3-4 defensive players as well as more midfielders. To get top 6, we have to reduce our goals conceeded - considerably.
  8. 10 days gone!? things should start to speed up a bit now IMO - the players with extended breaks will soon be back and with that the transfer window. Sure we will see alot more movement across all the clubs
  9. Change the R (edit - the first one) in your name with an N FFS.
  10. Did Keegan not say 3-4 with Potential? I think this lad falls into the bracket. Nothing to get really excited about but our squad is thin as fuck (my saturday team has a bigger squad), we need numbers and at the prices quoted, I am sure he can do a job. IMO, we will be signing around 6-8 players (or need to anyway) so we still have plenty of time for a few more 'exciting' signings yet.
  11. Would not get to stressed. I lived in Liverpool for 5 years and the shite they print is akin the Anal and co.
  12. EVERTON? no thanks Can you imagine the head lines "Beers don't work" - Mr Ashley resorts to handing our "the brown" whilst socialising with fans in the gutter in hope of drawing more fans the not so goodison park.
  13. Pretty sure KK will have been drumming that in hard last season and this season in particular. Hopefully we can look foward to some useful home form - fingers crossed.
  14. Win all your home games and you're there pretty much. Aye... I reckon 45 from home, 15 on the road (make that 12 as Spurs in the bad already).
  15. With a few more players, we should be aiming top 6. Definately - no top half bollocks. Aim as high as you can otherwise there is no point turning up. The average points to get into 5th or 6th over the last 5 sesons was 60 (rounded up) - so thats just over 1.5 points a game we have to be aiming at - we can do that.
  16. If it was'nt Keegan's Nephew, it probably would not have been so prominent in the news. His fault or not, its still a sad condition and way to go.
  17. Dan Gleebals

    Hear hear

He clearly got all his ideas, inspiration and theme from here tbh
  18. IMO, I think that was clever business by then really.
  19. While we only have one player in the bag so far and a few leaving or left, I think Keegan will wait until other signings are confirmed before he lets anyone go out.
  20. Aye, we should have let him run his contract down and walk for nowt. Yeah, let an asset just walk away for free! Stupid. At least he now has a contract and a sell on value. I would agree with you if he was utter gash but he is not. He is no world star in the making but he can do a job.
  21. Off topic - ish. 10 days. Thats how long I have been logged on to the board - fuck me, thats a holiday. Still, probably not soopa fan stats..
  22. Smoke screen Another signing tomorrow me thinks.
