Benny Benitez: Parky 6 Benny 2 (Benitez watch.). Inter sack the waiter.
Dan Gleebals replied to Parky's topic in Football
They are third and conceded 2 away from home so far this season. Hardly a cock up is it. -
You can blame the managers and rightly so. But what about the 11 over paid, prideless tw@ts that pulled the shirts on for much of the campaign. You can blame the manager for making 'tactical' or 'system' fook ups - but you cannot blame them for the s**** we saw last night and for other games in the qualifiers. The blame IMO falls completely with the 100k a week w@ankers that give it loads of verbals and think they deserve to win something by virtue of who they are. Simple fact, as a team we are nothing. EDIT: Wrong thread. On Bilic, for a team that had qualified he looked far the better man manager last night. Fair play to him. As others have said, clubs will be queing up for that kind of passion (and achievement)...

Jose also said he would never manage any other international team other than his home country. I think it would be an obbious move for the FA to want to at least speak to Sam. I for one think he would stay however.

Owen is always injured - fact. How can a manager get a team used to or a player used to a system when the player is always injured. There is no value what so ever in keeping Owen - just look at his record here. You certianly do not sack a manager for a player that has not even played 20+ games in two years.
-
The amount he is injured (Owen) I think it is likely that only a team like Wigan would come along. Can't wait to see the back of him after his latest setback.

NoGo if you love the toon -
For all the reasons stated in the thread I wish people would just realise how lucky we are, stop the fooking moaning about big sam and give the whole operation a chance. Ashley is hardly going to keep pumping his money in to the manager if the fans are going to give the club and management shite after 12 games into a new set up. Would you? Fooking pathetic. Lets get behind the team and big sam ffs and the good times will return. Just not over night.

How the fook can SMith have played shite? Are people watching the game and saying this. Saved a possible goal and is breaking the play up well. Faye has been awsome to say the least. We have not conceded a goal - this has to be a plus. I would take off Barton for Enrique and push Zog up. Think Martins has to come on for Viduka - he looks slow as fuck. For all the flicks he has got, there has been no one on the end of them anyway. Credit to the scum, they are quick to the ball and are not letting us play and are managing to play some ok football. I do not think our tactics are the problem, the players are. They are just not in the game - Milner, Owen, Barton, Emre etc - nearly half the fookin team. We need to create some chances and fast, otherwise we will loose this by the odd goal. We have proven over and over we cannot keep a clean sheet - time to go out there and play for the win and not a 0-0 draw.

With home support like this, what chance has anyone got of succeeding here?
Dan Gleebals replied to Dave's topic in Football
I think the article is spot on - in a general sense. I did not see or was not at the game so cannot comment on some of the points. Ok, a 4-1 defeat at home is not on and questions should rightly be asked. However, in the context of a whole load of recent events, one or two bad results following our best start to a season in years the club should not implode into the fans freaking out and media jumping on the jizzwagon of who is tipped to take over big sam after less that a third of the season in charge. It is utter bollocks. We have a new chairman and owner, one that has cleared our debts and has put the club in a much better place. We have one of the best managers in the league and whole load of new players - all of which need time. The time to judge all of the above is not after 11 games and two shite results. We have to see this period as a transition - not "we are going to win the league bollocks".. I agree some of Sams tactics have been shocking, however, I feel he should be given the time to get it right. After the absolute shite he got dumped with, this HAS to and WILL take time. Some people will never see this and as a result the pressure will always be on our managers. As Mort has said, changing managers when things go wrong does not work. I think the long term view is something NUFC and its fans has never been good at. Will this attitude change? Probably not. Should it? Definately. Alex Ferguson took time to get going at Manure - look at them now. People need to look at themselves and realise that alot of the pressure the fans apply is counter productive and damaging to the club. Two wins on the bounce now and my points will probably be proved - until the next "big sam has to go" result (loss). -
I some how think we will raise our game accourdingly. Not saying we will win all the hard games but we will play alot better, I am fairly confident of that.

Spot spot on. Spot on, that.

Shite result and shite performance by all accounts. I do not agree with playing a defensive minded strategy, especially against shite teams. Does this mean we will play the following away to the big 4: Taylor Rozenhal Cacapa Enrique Baye Butt Faye Milner Barton Zog ?????? Fook that - about time we played the same away from home. Ok we will get whipped now and again (look at City) but we will definately win more than we will lose. That said, I still think we are in a FAR better place righ now than we have been in for years. Give the man a chance people.
