Good luck Eddie Howe! At last, some professionalism, you will be respected and supported for that. Lots of work to do and it will be some achievement to whip this squad into shape and get us up the table. I don't think anyone should underestimate that.

Completely agree

No way are they letting Charnley do the negotiations. No way. I think they got that wrong.

Whatever the outcome, I would not blame the owners, just yet. I agree Bruce should have gone immediately but appointing a new manager in our current state, was always going to be a challenge. Our club is a total mess at the moment, and whilst they must have realised that before agreeing the deal, we have had a shocking start to the season and we are now seeing, to the worst extent possible, the knock on effect of years of mismanagement, under investment and zero ambition. The players, for the most part, know they are not good enough for what this club will become. At this moment they are championship fodder and they know it and they are playing like it. I would think any manager, especially a decent one, will see right through that. Its a tough gig, in the short term. Medium to long term however, it could be very exciting. Sadly our media vultures (and some fans) don't give anyone the time they need (just look at Spurs). I guess I am just being realistic about who we might expect to get as it stands...

I hope he was! He has done very well with Brighton and by all accounts he is a very good people manager as well. Goes above and boyond, people want to play for him. He plays good football to. I suspect the new owners wanted a bigger name though, especially when it comes to attracking top players further down the line. Either that or Brighton/Potter said do one.

Agree with this. If we play the usual defend first policy, we are fucked. Have to me more progressive and attack minded with the players we have. Arguably we are better at the top end of the pitch (when players are on form) so lets give it a go for fuck sake. Rather that and lose than sit back and lose anyway. Definately need to see the end of Ritchie and Kraft. I would like to see Schar or Fede in the team as well. We have a little more coming out of defense then. -
This shit, defend (badly) and sit back tactic deployed since Brunce came in has over time completely eroded our team and player confidence. Just doing this and hoping for a bit of magic the other end is a sure fire way to lose most matches. Unfortunately Jones seems to have followed with the same approach. I just do not get it. We are going to lose to Chelsea anyway, so why not give it a go. Push up, get our best players on and really push them at the other end of the pitch. We have the players to do that, we do not have the players to defend for 90 minutes so why do it. Do something different, please. I would like to see something along the lines Dubs Manquillo - Fernandes - Schar - Lewis/Dummett Hayden Willock - ? Almiron - Wilson - ASM No Ritchie, Frasher or Kraft FFS
-
Completely agree with this! Our best 11 (with some decent management/training/player development). However, Hayden adn Willock probably not good enough as a pair though although should be for those around the table with us... Fuck knows why Schar has not been playing when the likes of Ritchie, Shelvey etc have.

Only positive from this is no Bruce, rest will be the same. It is at home though, so you never know - they might even his double figures against us.
-
I think a new manager would keep him around. He is a good link between fans and the new management team. He comes across well in both those interviews...
-
We have been trying to doing that for the last 2 years and look where that got us! With a proper manager, we will concede less by default. Bruce was not a coach or manager so all the players have regressed and most importantly have not been coached or had any tactical input. Foncesca might have a forward thinking approach but in the short term, I am sure he would be looking to address the key frailties - poor defending, poor attack (which is just as poor) and the general condition and fitness of the whole squad!! His philosophy will take time to embed. The guy is on a different planet compared to Bruce.
-
YES. YES. YES. Not going to say another word about him, he does not warrant it.
-
Tbf, this is exactly the performance we needed. Owners get to see first hand how shit we are and how poor bruce is.
-
I doubt its the amount he might be owed. Probably trying to find other ways to not pay him off i.e. zero performance/gross negligence or other reasons instead, and there must be many of them. How about his whole managerial record for starters. Just get rid of the idiot FFS, whatever the cost.
-
Is it possible to watch the press conference? If so, where? Thanks
-
Umagine - it all stays the same! Bruce. No ambition. Little spending. Bins for ice baths. Bruce.
-
I met Sir Les a couple of times when he was here, absolute gentleman and top bloke. One of my favorite players for sure.
-
Completely conflicted on this one as I see two options regarding Bruce: 1) Sacked - He is gone by the weekend and there is going to be one massive party at SJP come the weekend, whatever the result. The atmosphere will be electric. 2) Still here - Sure it will still be a cracking atmosphere but he will get loads of shit as the result will then far more significant (f we lose or play badly) The perverse part of me would like to see option 2, but that will not reflect that well on the new owners (as they must know the sentiment) and it will certainly not be nice for him, which I could not care about and would actually enjoy.. I know what I would do if I was them. Option 1.
-
No, it averages 31.5 points - if you consider the 7 games this season as well! So he has over performed with us then, compared to his average in the Prem (excluding this season!).
-
His NUFC Record (Prem only) Win % 27.7% Lose % 44.5% Premier league win % is 27%. Shocking
-
Get the new board in the dugout for the game. They are all more qualified that Bruce to get a result
-
I am going for 2PM today
-
No way any of the current frauds running the club will be here a moment longer after this announced. They were complicit in just about every failing whilst they have been here. New owners, new people, fresh start.
-
And he still won absolutely fuck all.
-
Said in jest - cannot really believe this is happening, beyond happy.
