According to our fraud of a manager he is "knocking on the door for a start against Leicester". He has been from the day he got here. Granted, he has done really well coming on late in games but he is far better then the rest in the middle. Give him the last 4 games to really show what he is about. If we have any chance of getting him (or proving we want him), he should be the first name on the team sheet.

If he is actually here next season, which is highly likely if we stay up, he won't last long. Fans will be ripping into him from the off, assuming they are allowed back into the ground. It could be glorious to watch and he won't be able to handle it.

Only reason I can think he is still here is bacause there is a relegation clause in his contract and we save a few quid kicking him out. Not a reason to keep him by any stretch, he should have been gone weeks ago and better still, never hired in the first place. Sadly nothing about this club represents anything remotely sporting now. Zero ambition and zero leadership and a team (even with a better manager) that is deviod of quality, aside a handful of players. Its been pretty dire since day one with Ashley but somehow we are now hitting new levels of utter shite. We wont bounce back in a hurry after this relegation.

Just take a look at all the clubs that did that for the last 20+ years and his record has been consistently shite throughout that time, so yes, they will (assuming he still wants to work - if you can call it that)

Why would any chairman/MD agree to a compensation clause for a consistent fraud and failure of a manager in the first place. For someone who likes a gamble (Ashley) surely even he could see the odds of this happening.

Lack of managerial ability is probably the main reason I guess No way, couple of £M to get rid of him is far cheaper than relegation. Too late now anyway, so may as well sit back and enjoy watching this unfold, for him and Mike. It really is not going to end well. Just wish fans could be in ground at the moment.
