  1. Shite performance. Shite atmosphere. No positives from that. Looked pedestrian at best.
  2. Atmosphere is going to me immense tonight. Trying deperatetly to leave work early but not looking good. Should get to ground in time though.
  3. Can barely stand up after a bottle of water
  4. Townsend had a clause fir relegation. Sumple as that.
  5. Love to be a fly on the wall to see how Rafa is dealing qith this as he still very fond of his time at Liverpool. Hope he is holding out for as much as pissable...
  6. When you have a big move when young and are then managed by Pardew, Carver and McClaren you are almost certain to go backwards. Watch him thrive this season.
  7. No offence Shotime but no need to bring that **** up. We are on a positive roll and I had almost forgotten about him!
  8. Ps I think Rafa actually rates him and wants to keep him....
  9. Thought it was confirmed! If not we should hold outnin case the euro recovers! Thanks brexit
  10. No way he will play against Fulham even if he stays. Just played the whole Euros. He will go, no doubt in my mind but on rafas terms and sissoko and his clan know it. Perfect.
  11. An Arsenal supporting mate who has been a season ticket holder for 20+ years and whom also works in football journalism says he was well rated at Arsenal but like so many youngsters at Arsenal could not break through. He along with others he knows think he will be a hit with a decent manager and opportunity play.
  12. Very impressed with our business so far. Must have saved a fortune already on wages for Colo, Cisse, Taylor, Townsend, Obertan and Marveaux. Great stuff and all needed to go. Bringing in mainly British players on less money with room to develop under Benitez in the Championship. Not convinced they will all make the step up to premiership but you would hope they would at least be better players and have some sell on potential if they don't make the grade.
  13. Even better when they sell him next year.
  14. So we rescue him for years in the wilderness at Spurs. He plays well dor us, gets back into the England squad and the decides to join the manager that was so instumental in our deline. Great.
  15. Think the fixture list has been kind to us. On paper the first five games are easier than most. Good for momentum. Like rafa says, hardly that important as we have to play all of them. Still a great start goes along way IMO.
  16. Really? Improved as captain but for the rest of the time has been bang average. No chance they will want him.
  17. For me he would stay if the club allow him to rebuild everything. That would require a new board and some serious investment as the current lot have proven time and time again they are completely incompetent. Rafa would only have to look at Ashley's track record to realise that and for that reason I cannot see him staying, why would he? OK, he might have an affinity with the fans but that is nowhere near enough to keep a top class manager in the championship. No way. I would not blame him one bit if he goes, there is no historical evidence to suggest things will be any different. Getting him in was both lucky and IMO a move that worked for both parties. He keeps us up and we have momentum, he can get on with it and we can justify the cost. It was more a PR exercise IMO to keep the fans onside. Now we are facing completely the opposite. Balancing cost versus getting back into the Premiership - all with a pretty bang average squad, of which half will most likely leave anyway. Thanks anyway Rafa, it was a pleasure albeit a short term one!
  18. The fuck is the statement. He should hold his dirty hands up and resign. He has no right what so ever to be given the opportunity moving forwards. The whole board need to go. Simple as that.
