"Andros is a winger with an old-fashioned style. He can play on the right or the left, is two-footed, quick, very direct and loves taking on defenders and crossing the ball." Old fashioned? Can cross a ball? Fuck me.

Typical uninspiring signing from the rabble running us into the ground. Not played for months, no form and we expect him to help keep us up in a position which was not a priority. Hard to feel any excitement about this. Another cheapskate gamble by the fat controller
-
Hard to enjoy other peoples downfall given our own plight (which he started). That said, I hope he really looses the plot and the fraud is finally found out. If we are to go down (which is looking more than likely now) I hope the twat does too.

20 points from a possible 45 required just to be safe. I cannot see that happening in his lifetime. We are averaging .9 of a point per game season to date, and we now need to be averaging 1.3 just to keep us up - not a chance IMO. There is only really two teams in it with us and that's Norwich and Swansea. We are now in a position that we are relying on them being worse than us. Why the fook he changed a winning formation, only he will know.

Have to win this -
I have a bet with a palace fan at work that they will finish in the bottom 6. This was when they were 6th... Whole office thought I was mental.
-
He gets injured looking in the mirror. I agree he has potential but it is only that at the moment, he has been injured on and off for 2 years - not a great sign for a young lad. Kieron Dyer MKII
-
To be fair we did not really have to many options to rotate (quality ones anyway) but that's an entirely bigger issue.
-
Will be a pretty big clear out in the summer, so just hope we are still in the same league when we finally get the chance to replace a load of crap with some half decent players. IMO, if we are not confident in Aarons and Thauvin cannot be relied on, we really need to get some width and balance down the left - to me that is a priority over a striker of CB.
-
Yep good point, played a similar amount of games to Thauvin his first season and was absolute shit when he did play. But they kept him, gave him more consistent starts the following season and he improved, and improved again this season. And our shit manager would have gone by now. Relatively speaking he is worse than Thauvin
-
I would not start this lad for a few games. Not worth the damage it will do. Better to get him up to speed as a sub that throw him in at the deep end?
-
One of the main reasons we are in the position we are is due to an incredibly light squad that is devoid of depth and competition. Personally I would keep him until the summer. No guarantee that either of the new players will hit the ground running. We need cover and I would sooner have him in the squad than Colback right now.
-
Another French flop and Carr has some explaining to do (he already does)! Him and Shelvey would surely confine Gini to the wing? If so, think that is a gross waste of talent leaving him out there.
-
With a manager who rolls out shite like "keep playing like this and we will be alright" says it all.
-
Irrespective of the results today our total lack of depth in squad is killing us. No one on the bench to make a difference or challenge. Factor in a shit manager and we are down. Years of decline and lack of ambition/investment have finally caught up with us. We will not do what is needed in Jan now as the risk will be perceived as too high. Sorry to say it but really think we are a sinking ship and will be going down this year.

Only positive in this game will be the final whistle. -
It won't happen (surely) but would love (and really want) Leicester to win the league.

3-1 to us. Loose to villa. -
On the balance of what I have seen so far I would say we are almost certainly going to be in the mix if not down. One step forwards and 10 back at the moment. The reasons for that are many but for me, the sheer lack of quality and depth in the squad is the biggest issue. Hard to motivate players when you have no one to replace them with when dropped. The league is insane (ly shit) this year, so many strange results already. For that reason, I really don't know what will happen to us. We definitely need 2-3 players in Jan - get them we should be ok, fuck that up and I think we are almost certainly down.
-
Why is it we cut the rope so quickly on new players in this club, its insane. If we are buying the wrong people, the people making those decisions need to go - Carr/Charnley. Scary how many players we buy, chuck them straight in a the deep end because we have no other options and then wonder why they loose a bit of form when the inevitable wheels fall off due to our piss poor management and woefully weak squad. You don't rattle 20+ goals a season if you are shit. He clearly has some talent in there but as usual we buy a square peg for a round hole and wonder why it does not work. Sure he will come good but he IS NOT the problem.
-
I guess a good manager can get the most out of an average squad. Who knew? Klopp is not a good manager, he is a great manager. I completely get your sentiment though. Look at the dross we have had here and it explains an awful lot. That result (and performance by all accounts) is impressive. I honestly think we are on for the largest ever away victory this weekend. Hopefully that will be the end of McClaren because this is really not going to be pretty.
-
Wish McClaren would stop banging on about getting to work/getting it right on the training ground. It's in the pitch that counts. May as well let this lot piss it up the wall and play Xbox all week for all the good "the training ground" is doing. We are somehow worse than last year and that took some doing. So clearly what's going on the training ground is either all wrong, ignored or simly not good enough. For me these comments confirm he is nothing more than a coach, never was and never will be after this mess. Chamley, Carr, the lot of them need to go. This system the have is absolutely not fit for Sunday league.

Impressive you had access to the result before it was played live 3-0 you say? -
SM is definitely NOT the progressing person / manager / coach some people would have us believe, clear as day that's not the case. OK our shocking start to his reign and our season has only compounded the need to graft out wins and the expense of any style or substance. Either way, our squad is a major reason we are not doing well, not just him. I am under no doubt a better manager would get more from these players but the reality is there is a horrible lack of competition and we are currently replying on has been players or those that are simply not up to scratch. Colo Taylor Colback Tiote Really have no place and they are all (bar injuries) the first names on the sheet. I would put Anita into that bracket as well. Then you have 3 french players that should not be anywhere the first time and Thauvin who IMO is another Cabella. Hardly surprising that Sissoko and the others of merit dont turn up regularly enough.
