EDIT: Clearly he is over Carver but that't not hard.
-
Really don't see him as any kind of progress personally. I know he has a good record (bar England) but something does not feel right about him being our manager.
-
Any word if he will bother turning up this weekend? Don't think he has the stones.
-
Assuming we get relegated, what will Carvers response be? 1) - Put his hands up, take responsibility and do the decent thing and go quietly 2) - Blame everyone else apart from himself and argue he is the man to bounce us back Personally don't think option 1 will ever happen.
-
They would have all walked out if he had asked "am I up to the job"
-
They treat us like twats and make us look like twats!! They are seriously taking the piss with all three there. (not that I have bought a shirt with the fat bazza at the helm)
-
It's a nothing article really, our squad is so small now and with the players wanting to leave/those out of contract its irrelevant anyway, hardly going to be left with 25 players on +50K a week!! As if. Whether it premier or championship football next season, we are going to have one horrific team/squad. Stay up and they will do the usual minimal spending, go down and it will be all about shopping in league one/lower leagues of Europe to try and blag a season in the championship!
-
Re the "news" my guess is carver sparked someone in the dressing room.
-
He actually talks more shit than pardew!! Unbelieveable
-
This, along with a first team squad of players they have not been able to develop, deploy in the correct positions or generally manage. Useless.

Mike should listen to Les Reed at Southampton... Taken from the BBC...Reed said: "We'd like to think we have the structure to [reach the Champions League] in the next five years. "But it's important to be established as a top-six club over that period." If only!!!
-
I reckon Villa 39 Leicester 38 Newcastle 37 (at a push) - would still stay up by one point. Mackems 35 Hull 34 QPR and Burnley already gone IMO.
-
Fact, we would not bounce back. Terrible squad in the first place. Would only get worse. We really are in the shot, why cannot so man. people see this? I can understand those thinking a relegation would get rid of Ashley, it won't. I also think we would take along time to recover.

Looking on the ticket site, there are big areas of available tickets which is great. Leazes East Corner for example looks mostly available as do big areas in the Gallowgate. Add to that the season tickets that do not go, there will be notable gaps in the crowds. Hoping more decide over the next day or two to not go as well.

Struggling to understand why anyone would think our current team, management and owner deserve any support - we are in an absolute mess. Struggling to see why so many cannot see this and will not do anything about it. Struggling to think of any justifiable reason for anyone to go to this - a one off (for now) boycott to make a stand against the above. I think all those not going into the ground should still meet up around the ground encouraging people not to go in/block turnstiles etc - what ever it takes!

Sorry for quoting this lads but it deserves to be on every page of an al pards thread. Excellent post tmonkey man  Brilliant post indeed - can this not be the last comment on the subject and just lock it?

Agree entirely although they (Spurs) do have better resources to cope with it. Us, along with the likes of Everton and Swansea are more reliant on a good "first team" over a squad that can accommodate both domestic cups and European football. The asset stripping and inability to get the best out of the better players we have had under Pardew has moved us further and further away from a squad let alone a decent "first team". We are now in a position where even decent investment and an overhaul of the squad will merely keep us standing still - i.e. a mid table team at best. The days of a cup run or the dizzy heights of Europa are so far off now, it does not bear thinking about. Anyone that cannot recognise Pardew's role in almost all of this, along side the cretins at the top are blind to the obvious.

Personally think that dragging Shit Direct through the mud and going for them live on Tv will have a much bigger impact than a half empty stadium. Keep going for them and they will not want their brand splashed all over SJP, the benefits of owning NUFC start to diminish. A combined approach of attacking them and MA at games will eventually work. He has a choice - genuine investment/ambition/hope/no more lies or getting out IMO

sunderland 1-0 newcastle - 05/04/2015 - Post Match reaction from p. 33
Dan Gleebals replied to Mike's topic in Football
I seriously don't think they ever will, they seem incapable, like a domestically abused wife that stays with the evil, fat husband because she 'loves' him. Actually think a sustained attack at MA would work. Shame you are almost certainly right.
