I do (if that's allowed?)

Hard not to agree, if only he would show some balls and give it a real shot with us. I completely get the financial stability bit, I am even happy for him to get his loan back - I get all that, I just wish he would do it in a transparent way (not hiding profits etc), without his tat advertising all over the place and show some ambition.

No a great tactic but would not put it past them! -

The Club, irrespective of who they want, Carver included, are clearly taking there time for obvious reasons. No money spent in January. Another week or two of this and we are at best going to hold on to what we have. -

This. There is no 'short list'. It's all bollocks. Based on what? History -

Favre has I think. De Boer too. So no. Ah, okay. Well at least he has that over Galtier and Tuchel it seems. I really like the fact he did so well with developing youth players. My God do we need that. Completely agree, especially at a time in recent history where we actually seem to be producing some players that "could" make it with the right coach in place. -
Please no. To stay in capacity that is.

Rémi Garde and the case of the missing art galleries

I think this appointment, or similar, would hopefully signal a new beginning for the management style and football philosophy within the club. Be it Garde, Galtier, De Boer or Tuchel, they all represent a younger modern approach compared to many of the mainstay English names that get thrown around. Giving the perceived preferred approach of a "head coach" all of these names would suit this set up better. Irrespective of who gets the role (assuming one of the above does for example), I think it is imperative that the new coach has a complete clear out when it comes to the first team fitness and coaching staff. I do not think it would be at all helpful or useful to have any of the pardewed sympathisers around the squad in any capacity to influence the squad or new guy. Carver, Stone, Woodman and Billows have to go. The later clearly doing more damaged to an already fragile squad it seems in his approach??? However, the last point IMO is the biggest sticking point in all of this. Whilst we have essentially profited from Pardew going (compensation), I cannot believe for a minute Ashley will sanction this as cash to clear the decks. If he does, then fair play, but I doubt he will. -
Really not up to scratch.

Arsenal v Newcastle United-Saturday 13th December @ 17:30pm (Sky Sports)

With a full squad we had a chance against these - they are not exactly doing very well this season. With the players available, we still could, but unlikely. Therefore I think we will win (as we seem to do in most of the games this season we should loose) -
A truly outrageous goal aside, he is back for sure. Great to see him so happy again and scoring.

These injuries are a total joke now. Seriously, what is going on? Ready made excuse aside, we really should not have this many injuries. Someone needs to sort this out. -

Definitely shite going down this weekend. Know a few who were caught up in it in Germany. Always had grief in the pubs near the ground so would definitely watch out this weekend. On the pitch, reckon it should be a reasonable game. -
Talking to just about any non newcastle sporting mate and they just don't get the hatred I have towards him. They then reference Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham saying we should be happy with what we have got. Boils my wee wee.
-
Looks a cracking player already with all the right attributes to be great. Keep feet on ground and work hard and who knows. Either way, we got an absolute bargain at c.£1.5M. Unbelievable really. One of the few things our board/senior management team deserve some credit for in getting him.

Obertan S Taylor Riviere Good (ok not first team but must be close) Aarons Tiote Davide Colo
-
Aarons clearly a case of poor management as I am sure countless others are as well. With a small squad there is always a danger players will be rushed back to early. Even with the amount of money in the sport now, developments in sports science, things seem to get worse.

Top the the league again then. Why is this club so bad at keeping its players free of injuries? Downey and and then Billows employed for their respective records in producing excellent results, less injuries and generally much fitter squads. So what is going wrong?
