  1. Good piece Absolutely spot on.
  2. Cannot believe this waste of space for a human being has a 409 page thread! Crazy
  3. Personally prefer him to Debuchy.
  4. Was brilliant yesterday. Showed for everything, pass and movement was great and has good vision too. New contract please ASAP!!!
  5. Not sure Liverpool will keep spending the way they have. Rodgers has spent a shit load of money (ok - 75M came the other way), on a shit load of shit! I would have thought the board would want to see some balancing of the books and not sure he has that much in the squad that is appealing to others (apart from Sterling).
  6. Krul Janmaat Saylor Coloccini Santon Tiote Sissoko Abeid Cabella Aarons de Jong for me. Out of interest, what makes you think de Jong will prove better than Cisse or Perez in this position? Basing this on the fact we have seen so little of him in a NUFC game!
  7. looks like he could do either to me, and his goals last year suggest he can attack as well pardiola has him sitting deep, protecting though, no license to get forward much Be nice to see him and Sissoko interchange with respect to breaking forward/attacking. Abeid has the ability to score goals and move forward quickly. Be harder for the opposition to read who is going to break. Surely with a few more games that could/will come if Pardew does not fuck things up.
  8. Has to be this IMO. Absolutely no reason to change a winning team. I think WBA will be a tough test, they are defensively playing reasonably well and up top they are a threat. Personally think it could be a good game to watch. First time I have felt like going to a game this season so looking forward to it.
  9. I think most (on here) share you sentiments on Pardew, me included. I cannot stand the bloke and would love to see the back of him. However, it has been proven that even after a seriously shocking 2014 the majority of fans did not turn against him and results have improved. Even if all the pardew haters combine and give him grief week in week out (despite results) nothing will happen. For now, we appear to have turned a corner and that is all Ashley will be happy about unfortunately, Pardew therefore is going nowhere.
  10. I thought we would beat Spurs and City but not so sure about this. Depends alot on how Pardew responds to 3 good results. If he keeps the momentum up and allows us to be more forward thinking in our approach I think another win is definately possible. Not sure Madrid is really going to be on their mind as based on the last result against them, I doubt they are expecting too much from the reverse fixture. This weekend will be more important to them IMO.
  11. Anyone who would not want to win a cup, is surely not right in the head. Putting aside the managerial conatations (if we did actually win one under Pardew) we have an incredibly poor record in winning anything (in more than my lifetime so far) so surely finally changing that has to be a good thing for the club, players and fans.
  12. Much like the Spurs match, I think we will win this. Again, no rational thoughts would suggest we will - just the way things seem to roll for our jammy manager.
  13. With the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, ManU, Tottenham, Everton having worse starts than us (relatively speaking), he is going no where. May as well lock this thread and open it in 3 years time! Its only clogged up with his bullshit quotes etc. Will take a seriously bad position in December/Jan for him to be in any danger and the last two results combined with the rest of the league being shite this season, has without doubt given this smarmy bastard at least the season and some of next (assuming we stay up). Depressing but as that is how it is, I guess one has two choices - support the team and try and enjoy the football or get on his case (which will not happen with the majority) every game and make it as uncomfortable as possible for him.
  14. For no rational reason what so ever I think we will win this.
  15. I will never like the bloke, however, he seems to have responded well to the pressure and request for better football. Something our useless manager is incapable of doing.
  16. "we was just not able to adapt to their margins today"
  17. Bet he says "that win means we can start looking up, only 4 points of 8th"
  18. Management masterstroke this. Tell the whole world the one player we don't want starting will actually start. Also, confirm you are absolutely clueless when trying to accommodate players with anything about them. Took all of 7 games to give up on Cabella and revert to a player who has managed just 3 appearances all of last season. Genius. This is going to do Cabella's confidence the world of good. Just F*** off.
  19. You sure, it would be stocked to the hilt with Hofmeister and have a bear for a doorman. That and tea and coffee served in a free fucking over sized mug.
  20. This lad deserves a chance. Youthful, fearless endeavour - just what we need at the moment as the "pro's" in the team seem to be completely shot of ideas at the moment. We certainly need to be playing two upfront IMO, solo striker is just not working, despite all the final third bullshit pardew keeps proclaiming to be working on.
  21. Not read the rest but thats as far from the truth as you can get tbh Not necessarily when you consider the number of fans who (probably rightly) think Ashley does not give a fuck about NUFC. He has said or done very little to prove otherwise. What people think about Ashleys motives are completely irrellevant. Fact is to say he would happily lose over £100m in TV money and god knows what in crowd loss, player upheaval and more importantly the huge loss in SD exposure is quite frankly absurd I agree what I have said is unlikely or indeed true just seems one of many possible explanations as to the terrible situation we find our club in. As you say, the debate is pretty irrelevant really as no one will ever know.
  22. I disagree. He's trying to expand SD abroad and needs the worldwide coverage of the PL to help him do it. In which case I am wrong and actually a relegation fight is better press than a comfortable mid season, win some loose some approach. I guess the tat we see on show on a weekly basis is an accurate reflection of the piles of tat for sale in his shops..

  24. Ashley would probably see a year or two in the championship as a good thing. Gets to promote SD to another 20+ clubs and their fans we would make good viewing on the TV as before. His SD brand will benefit much more than the 50/60M loss NUFC would suffer. There is no sane reason he would keep him at NUFC for footballing reasons or any sane reasons for keeping him at NUFC for business reasons. Aside the compensation debate, there really is no reason what so ever not to pull the trigger. Pay the idiot off and say goodbye before it is too late. No manager of any notable standing (even if we bothered trying to get them) is going to want to come in under Ashley's business model with us stuck on 3 points after 10 games!!
