Not sure what game Pellegrini was watching but for me Chelsea were the far better side last night. A great away team performance, spot on tactics and they kept going to the final whistle, no negative shit what so ever. Are you watching Pardew? Mourinho is a class above when it comes to management. He takes all the pressure of his players (not in the title race etc) and just plays monumental mind games with the opposition in doing so - and people keep falling for it. The bloke is a winning machine, it wont be too long before Chelsea win it again.

The whole JK appointment has been nothing but a complete joke in the first place. What ever his role was, he failed to deliver on just about every level. What a waste of time, money and more importantly, he most certainly did more damage than good. He was grossly unqualified for such a role and it has cost us. I personally don't think MA has no ambition at all (although its clearly limited) but this cock was never going to make things happen for us. No wonder Pardew has looked fucked off the last few days - not that I am endorsing him in anyway. I just hope he grew some balls and said he piece, I suspect he has. Someone had to go in the wake of a complete joke of a transfer window and he was the only candidate.

Depends what way you look at it really. The fans failing to see what MA is doing to this club and not doing anything about it says its own story. Granted it would require a massive consensus on this before any action was even not worthy enough to make any difference what so ever to how MA runs this club. Sadly, nothing is ever going to change under the current owner is in charge unless the fans unite and take action against the principles on which this club is currently being run. If we don't then sadly, polls and discussions like this are meaningless.

And unlikely to get CL football too!

So at this rate, not one permanent signing this season and a hefty profit (again). Ambitious.

No way would we spend the entire wind fall from Cabaye on one player. Personally cannot see this happening.
-
Wasn't a fair bit of their income made from services they give to other clubs that they own? Don't really know the detail - just saw it thought they will most likely find a way round it! The rest of us have no hope.

A Holtby loan deal would be bang in line with our new transfer policy! I would not say no to him at all.
-
City have posted losses of over £51M, way above the £37M allowed under financial fair play. Assuming they cannot justify the additional losses, I suspect they will get away with it which is totally wrong! Sanctions are supposed to be a ban from CL football, be very interesting to see how this pans out..

Cabaye leaving has really fucked me up. For the money his replacement is not going to be anything like he was points wise!! That and a few injuries has forced a -12 on transfers.

Newcastle United vs sunderland - 01/02/14 @ 12.45pm (No TV)

Certainly need to straighten the recent record against these right out. -
Can't even see Ashley sanctioning those kind of figures TBH. He would rather get 3 end of contract players for that, including wages and agent fee's. Has to be said, the lad does look worth the money though and at his age a reasonable investment. Get him for £12-14M would be a good deal IMO. His value, if he does well would certainly rise and equate to a profit in 2-3 years. Unfortunately, Ashley does not seem to share this view if past signings are anything to go by!

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

His IP is in France, like... Avez-vous déjà vu un Mackem à Paris? -
At last, this has been a jong time coming.

Not really the answer to our problems at all IMO. Certainly won't help fill the massive void Cabaye will leave.

Most likely a loss and lots of BS from Pardew. Just hoping the fans make it clear what we think about this, tonight and definitely at the weekend! -

The only looser(s) in this situation are the fans. The club have got exactly what they want, contrary to the shite Pardew et al will no doubt spout after this and so has Cabaye. I personally don't blame the player in this at all. The club have shown no ambition what so ever and have made sure he has been in the shop window for the last 3 windows (at least). He is now at the peak of his game and deserves to be in a CL team. With the squad we have and some investment, we might just have been pushing 4th this season given the way the league is so open. Not with the current ownership and management though, it will never happen. I am not convinced spending loads of cash chasing CL football is the way to go either, however, we ARE NOT skint and are solid financially (as they keep reminding us) so there is no excuse to at least be competitive in the market and hedge or bets. For me, this is worse than the Carroll sale, much worse. Not because of the player we are loosing but more what is says about the club. For those that were still supportive or on the fence with respect to the owner, DOF and Pardew, I think that is all about to change and the tides will turn against them pretty quickly now. I sincerely hope they do. -

If he does go that hurts my fantasy football team, already had two transfers I did not want to make due to injury. Would put me on -12 before a ball is kicked. Fucking hate Ashley. -

£20M+ will be the reason. The excuse will be that we did not have time to get the "right" replacement in at the right price. "Teams do not like doing deals for their best players in Jan". Despite having a season touting him out to all and sundry inviting offers for our best player, we will not get a replacement as we are safe, likely to get a top 10 place (with or without him) and have no ambition. Instead we will keep the cash, pay 20% corporation tax on the sale (as this will most likely all be profit). Better to reinvest all the profit for this reason alone but we won't.
