Swansea City vs NUFC - 02/03/2013 @ 3pm (not on TV)
Dan Gleebals replied to Fatwax's topic in Football
On the fence as to whether this is a good time to play them or not! Either way, should make for an open game of football. Can see both sides scoring goals in this one. Has to be said, they play really nice football at times, better than Rodgers time there as well... -
Robbie Fowler was twisting on last night that the owners dont have the same money as Man City or Chelsea blah blah...Forgetting that king Kenny SPUNKED millions on dross Don't forget the £25m spent by Rodgers on Borini and Joe Allen. Cracks me up when you consider who we signed over Jan for less than that

Hatrick tonight -
Completely agree. Win the league in a tin pot racist league, something to look back on I suppose.

Blimey, read all the articles. Hard to pick holes in any of that, seems genuine as well - time will always tell I guess. The last month has certainly changed my outlook on the two of them for the better.
-
He should be our "next signing" IMO. We should get him on a new contract ASAP.
-
I think they will be just as worried about Gouffran and Sissoko as we will Bale. The later two are still unknown quanitities and the way they have switched it about will be a concern for Spurs, they have as much to worry about as we do. We have to have the mentality to go for this, confidence breeds confidence. We need lots of pressure early on a then see how it goes from there.

Sorry about the formatting, on a train!! I blame that..

In light of our new players and the run in we have, what do people think we can achieve - position and points wise? Current 27 Tottenham 1 Southampton 3 Swansea 1 Stoke 3 Wigan 1 Man C 0 Fulham 3 Sunderland 3 WBA 3 Liverpool 1 Wham 1 QPR 3 Arsenal 0 50 8th of 9th for me.

Refusing to get smug about this until such a time thats more appropriate

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Technically maybe and certainly the one that can do things most people can only dream of. Best player? Hard one that. We cannot under estimate how good Cabaye is, nor Sissoko for that matter - or how important they are for the team. In terms of all round importance (currently) Cabaye edges it for me. -
He needs to be told in no uncertain terms that he has to cut the costly mistakes out. With the quality he now has around him, there is no need. He should have more options for getting rid of the ball. We should be less dependant on him to kill the ball so agressively when we do not have the ball. A week or two on the training ground, and I can see a massive improvement coming in his all round game. Its going to have to.

My only frustration with the same team is Jonas, really not sure why he is persisting with him. Maybe Marv was going to start in his place, seems the most logical. Hoping so. Gutted I cannot watch this as busy. -

Its pretty obvious he absolutely loves it here, the fans love him being here. He strikes me as the ultimate professional in the Gary Speed mould. We have essentially assembled a team that will work very well with him, both technically and culturally. I think it would take a massive team to turn his head and I am not sure that would be in the premiership either. If we get through this season ok, add a few more in the summer - our team really does have the potential to push for fourth IMO.
