Great news, although he was the only candidate IMO. Tiote would be up there if he could manage to stay on the pitch. Taylor is not mature enough yet (or even likely to play). First job Colo, sort Enrique's head out and get him signed up.
-
He is never an Arsenal signing/player - surely? Or an answer to their lack of success. Free or not, I cannot see many teams going for him (as much as he has been great for us).
-
Which youngster are you most excited about for the future?
Dan Gleebals replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
I looked older than Ferguson when I was 12. If he can "fill out" (not Nolan style) and last 90 Mins, I would say he is a real prospect. Looks too lightweight for a whole premiership game at the moment. -
This. Lost in the middle, totally lost.
-
Agreee, however a good pre season would make it easier. Playing a new team straight off would give the others something to think about (think Hatem v Everton) and might just work out. Could go pear shaped mind!
-
Cant see how he can loose there to hbe honest. If he can retain a few players, I am sure they will be there or there abouts.
-
The only wedge he will get is a sand wedge.
-
No he can't but his agent will probably negotiate a decent enough contract with a wannabe team when he walks away for free next season. Like Smith he's going to hang in there and pick up the fat wedge while he can get it. Your reply started so well.... I agree. However, bit in bold

All premiership to premiership transfers are all way over priced. Thank you sky.

Honey moon over for dogleash. His right hand short arse would rather coach a load of shite, than the current load of shite. Why would you take a role with England right now?
-
Well I'd like Barton in the side next season too but he'll have to agree to a pay cut and sign his contract before he gets back in my good books. I agree, to an extent. We do not really know what he was offered, or wanted. If he is going after the 5 year security blanket Nolan was, fair play to the club. No way is he worth it. Personally, I would offer an extra year on what he has on better money and an option for another year then, not before. He clearly wont wign that though.
-
PS who would really take him seriously as a potential player? Top 4 = forget it. Top six (spuds, bin dippers etc) = forget it Can he do better that the toon?
-
Question; what is Joey worth? Contract and small matter of time inside to one side for a monent, what is he really worth? Financially I mean. Whether he signs a new contract or leaves, assuming 3 years on his current contract and the season he just had, what would he be worth in the current market?
-
Even on loan, he would have been an excellent signing. Just can't see Chelsea being prepared to sell him this early in his career. I can, they are happy to spend 50M on a waste of space, they can afford to let him go.
-
Sturridge for 20M would be good business IMO. At this rate I cannot see us spending much at all this window. We essentially still have the 35M in the bank as Nolan sale almost paid for Cabeye.
-
10M = Hillarious. Simples.
-
No way can I see us selling Foster. A young obvious talent that we can develop as a player and in value. No point in getting 1.5M for him now, we could probably get nearly that for Harper and have two decent up and coming keepers.
-
Very happy with this one. Robbed them of £35M and then a free be as well. Not sure why, but have a good feeling about this lad. 4-5 plays on top of the 3 we have already and I think we can seriously aim for 7th, if not a little higher (with some luck)

Fuck, would not want to be a West Ham fan right now. Not because of Nolan but the fat burger muncher in charge.
-
Not sure he would have stated much next season anyway. He does not fit the bill for fast, quick passing football. Time will tell but not sure he will be a massive loss. Nothing against Nolan, really like him in fact. We dont know whats going on behind the scenes, but 60K a week for him is far to much money.

Respect him or not, what has he done to warrant being management credential?
