  1. Yes and No. If done correctly and organized properly - the buyers can look over "the books" as well as any other pertinent information that the seller will put up. Its up to the seller to ensure that all pertinent information related to the sale/facilitate the sale are there. Hah! Not much else to explain, those in charge of the sale will go on there and look at what is up there, and make their decisions accordingly. Due-Diligence is useless if a firm doesn't put up a proper system that a the buyer can use. We used a system called Intralinks, gave potential buyers a username and password and let them go at it. We had several requests for more information that we did provide and did not provide. Skirge, any chance you can work your magic and get the required info. /User: mashley //Password: password
  2. Good news! The mockups looked dreadful.
  3. Judging by the number of people suddenly wishing him back. This needs repeating....and repeating...and repeating...
  4. In what sense? Wakey wakey!
  5. Not a chance. How on earth does he deserve a clean slate?
  6. An inexperienced manager with a crap set of players?Again...trying to dispel the legend so to speak...why is he now supposedly advising prospective buyers not to appoint him? The point is that Shearer's appointment could easily have re-invigorated the players and seen us drag ourselves to safety. Daft move if he wanted to relegate us, and not one that would be in keeping with evil genius persona you seem to be building for Fat Mike. I believe the saying is "you can't polish a turd". This thead is full of bull including this. Yes, yes you can polish a turd. Check mythbusters.
  7. Like when he backed Bobby with just Bowyer when we needed to push on when we had the chance, or go for his own choices like Carr over Miguel etc. Meh. Besides, what is the point of backing managers when the managers you pick are for the most part penny dreadfuls. Sorry, not having a go, just need to vent when there is a prospect of the fat man returning.
  8. I expect little. I hope however for someone a few degrees better than Freddy; a self serving bullshit merchant, unable to build on success.
  9. Shepherd's doing with our club exactly what Ashley did with Sports Direct. Hide the shit, sell high, buy back low. Bottom feeder of the highest magnitude.
  10. Nope. Not until there is a bit more substance to it than quotes from some faceless source.
  11. Hahaha, it was going alright up until then too. I wonder when that was recorded though. I cant imagine him putting Deco in at the moment. How can that strawberry scouse inspire confidence in anything serious, he just smacks of being a highly paid mug for these people to stick in the spotlight to hawk their dodgy investments. I really don't have a terribly good feeling about this Profitable Group....er....group.
  12. From Todays 5iver - "Dear Mr Ashley, We are emailing you to inquire about the possibility of buying Newcastle United Football Club for £100m, as advertised on your website. We have always fancied the idea of owning our own football club and are currently in a position to invest in one, having recently received winning notification from Mr Austin Connor, a claim agent with the Ontario Lottery Corporation, that we have won exactly that amount in their latest draw for the promotion of the 2010 Soccer World Cup to be hosted in South Africa. We have been assured that the £100m will be deposited in our bank account just as soon as we have sent Mr Connor the £10,000 he needs to help facilitate the processing of our claim. Speaking of which, we were wondering if, as a gesture of goodwill ahead of our imminent purchase of your football club, you might be able to loan us this £10,000, as our own life savings are currently tied up helping Dr (Mrs) Mariam Abacha (M.O.N), the wife of the late head of state and commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria, who recently emailed us out of the blue to inquire if we might assist her in getting the $80m supposedly misappropriated by her late husband out of Nigeria, packed in trunk boxes in such a way to forestall anybody else having access to it. Once we have received our own 40% share of this bounty, we will obviously repay your £10,000 in full, with 15% on top for your co-operation. All we need from you is an assurance that you can handle the amount involved comfortably and that we can also trust you with this very arrangement. Oh ... and a cheque for £10,000 made out to us. Obviously we can imagine that a businessman as shrewd as yourself might be wondering why it is that somebody such as ourselves, who are London-based, overweight, fond of a beer and with neither ties to the north-east nor any discernible trace of business acumen would be willing to pay such an enormous amount of money for a football club, as it seems like the kind of foolhardy impulse-buy that only a congenital idiot would undertake, particularly without checking the books first. But you look trustworthy and have a nice face, not unlike that of the idiot that one might encounter sitting on a stile outside any English village. We look forward to hearing from you by return mail, All the best, The Fiver. PS While we are aware that you are looking for £100m for your club, we were wondering if perhaps you'd be willing to consider selling it for a knockdown price, as there are certain parts of it that we don't actually want: the entire playing staff, those fat blokes whose job it is to convene outside it and cheer raucously every time a new consignment of stationery is delivered to the club office, Shearer's bar, Shearer's tattoo parlour, Shearer's replica shirt shop, Shearer Stottie cake shop and Shearer."
  13. Precisely. I couldn't give a fuck about them spending silly money, just spending sensibly where and when needed. Like Ashley fucking should have. Hmmm.... apart from their website being beyond shite, these folk seem a little dodgy, just out for self promotion, or at worst, scammers of the highest order. Regarding their business - "so i was right, dodgy as a £3 note." "This company advertise heavily on the ESPN-STAR Asia Sports channels. I thought it was dodgy when they changed names a while back. They are predicting 200% gains in just a few years. Have they not heard of the recent popular term "credit crunch"." Regarding interest in Liverpool - "Last year Profitable Group were supposed to buy Everton and then Newcastle according to the UK and Singapore press both of which later turned out to be completely untrue. Some clever high profile brand association work by someone though with enough rumour being passed around that the normally reliable UK Guardian claimed Profitable Group were looking for complete control of Newcastle. It all turned out to be completely untrue in the end so throw some large pinches of salt in the direction of a Profitable Group and Liverpool FC relationship until Liverpool FC say something." etc... etc... from: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=599820&nmt=Profitable%20Group%20-%20Concorde%20Village http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/450/RipOff0450409.htm http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/978232 Oh, check out their lovely adverts including this one. http://www.profitablegroup.com/group-mediaplayer.aspx?cid=5&media=1
  14. Is this the same Steve McMahon who does odd bits of studio work and vile investment opportunity adverts on the dodgy Asian sport channel streams? God I hate that fucker. Steve McMahon OUT!
  15. Freddy Shepherd already has more of my money that he deserves, far more. I have no base faith in that money grabbing cunt. He will have to work a hundred times more than any other "unknown" investor to get anything as close to as much out of me again.
  16. I'm an optimistic chap. As it stands there is very, very, very little to be optimistic about.
  17. That was Per Ciljan Skjelbred. And we'd much rather have him than Huseklepp Thought is they would both come, even to the championship. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/breaking-news/2009/04/29/united-klepping-tabs-on-wing-ace-72703-23500460/ Should sign them both up really if they are really both interested in coming. I hope we try and prise Kevin Doyle away from Reading and Beckford would be a good addition if the price is right. We will need to get an experienced Striker in though, like James Beattie (who will not be available to us). Doyle, Ranger, Carroll, Beckford, Huseklepp and experienced striker would be a decent front line to choose from. Then there is the possibility we might still be lumbered with Ameobi and have lovenkrands around. Skjelbred seems a bit of a sickly lad. http://www.offthepost.info/2009/06/video-norwegian-player-loves-to-vomit-on-the-pitch/
  18. Surely if it bothers you so much you don't go spreading it around the net? Bother me? Not in the slightest. I'm more than happy to showcase the effort they go to in pluming new depths.
  19. Sorry if already posted but christ on a bike, they never fail to amaze me. http://api.photoshop.com/home_f6af789f50f14ec681c315830bb2d97d/adobe-px-assets/9284050d8ec3482b8aebf75461f593b5 http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/SAFC-joker-signs-Shearer-for.5318567.jp
  20. It doesn't say Ashley's in Dubai thankfully. Just that Keith Harris blerk.

? Why are you blaming KK for Ashley's doing? KK will be hurting cos he cares but as we all know he wont be s*** on. Ashley will also be hurting but that comes out of hurt self pride and money; nowt to do with the club and the fans. Cares? Fuck that. If he cares, let's see him drop the fucking court case. Fingers crossed.
  22. ? What have you done to prove your anger? I'll mark it from one to fucking ten.
  23. I am in a similar mood, I've started coming to terms with the fact we might be in the Championship next season and the one positive I will take out of it is that a mass clearout will mean I won't have to suffer watching this shower of s**** dragging our name through the mud any more. Hell I might even start enjoying football again. That is assuming Ashley either f***s off or lets Shearer rebuild properly. feel the same! really really hope shearer stays on....if we go down and shearer leaves then we could have a problem! He must be the best suited for the job, i guess! Better than Dave Bassett?
