Thought you were going to say 'if he died and I said that'. Was going to be a very different answer.
-
Crushed he's not dead.
-
Tonali cover sorted.

I wonder where this leaves ffp? At least needs a rethink if not scrapped. Hopefully someone is ready to challenge it in court, if they aren't already.
-
Again, keeping players around who are highly paid mascots, bite us on the arse. I said in the summer I've no issue with them staying, but it's on the books as staff, on staff wages and to free up a squad space.

Draw. Think the next 2 will be draws. Luton boyed by what happened the other day and forest with the new manager bounce. I'm just glad we got lucky with the early Fulham red card.

If we sell Ashworth to manure, does that mean we get £30m to spend in ffp terms? ?
-
If the papers are correct and he's to be appointed early next year, then manure have met the buyout fee of his contract, so nothing we can do. It's been good having him, but not the end of the world he leaves. Manure aren't going to do anything in the next 10 years, but understand he's got links to the new investors and they'll be paying him daft money to look after their ott investment.

You also don't talk about getting the right character into the club without background checks, and when something like this comes up very quickly after signing, then the background checks weren't good enough. That's in the head of the recruitment team. It's their bollocks dropped.

I reckon you'd have been able to find it out easily enough. Pretty clear it was an open secret between players and of course Milan knew. Proving it is more difficult but there would have been enough there. I reckon we rushed it through as we couldn't believe we were getting such a highly rated player on the relative cheap, considering his son status at the club. I'm actually shocked someone didn't get punted from within the club once the ban kicked in. It's at least an £11m mistake, and if you look at the injury crisis that money not spent elsewhere could have cost us CL.

£8-10m compo at least. We paid £3m didn't we?
-
Wider if the Saudis have held him accountable for the Tonali fuck up. Does show he's not perfect, and was a massive mistake Tbf.

2026 as well. There goes the hope it was a temp appointment. #justice4uncaltony

He's got 2 big issues. 1 he's a cunt. 2 he can't be trusted buying players. The latter is out of his scope, so all he has to do is not act the cunt and he could be a decent appointment. It's not as bad as they are making out, it's just not where they wanted their next step to be. It's a humbling appointment.
-
Phillips would be class. In his position we'd struggle to capture a better player. I think his time at citeh wil have humbled him and made him determined. The only issue I have is we need signings elsewhere first, and when Tonali is back we'd be overloaded on central mids. Not a bad thing, but keeping them all happy will be difficult.

Probably sooner than expected if Beale comes in and starts being an arse.

Ian Wright is such a lovely bloke. Can't believe he's 60. He'll be missed, but hoping he'll still appear during other games pitch side and not be a total stranger to it all.
-
As long as they keep their feet on the ground, and don't leave the atmosphere, they'll be reet.
-
I remember a 16 year old @Yorkie, ffs. How is this happening. Stupid aging process..
-
Can't give this enough likes.
-
Love this stat btw. Makes it even more special it's him.
-
No fucking way.

Doesn't play with fear, which is like all youngsters, however that will fade as his responsibilities grow, but by that time I think we'll have a very composed young man on our books. 5 years time, he's 23. It's incredible really.
