  1. Even the best miss the odd chance
  2. Although he didn't deserve a red and was unfortunate to be in the position he was, if the club have been looking to strip his captaincy, this is their big chance.
  3. Going to have TV off for 48 hours so there is no chance of seeing Allardyce's smug face.

Better be from the referee. Are there any rules about slagging off the referees in private email communications? Because McClaren could send us all an email slagging off the ref and the FA wouldn't be able to do him for it.
  5. Santon's situation was so strange, went from absolute nailed on certainty at left back to being forced out really quickly I think thaT it was a board decision with Santon to force him out because we had three left backs.
  6. Won't believe until we see thread title.

I have more confidence of us playing well against Man Utd and Chelsea than against Watford and Norwich as a number of our players give zero fucks about the club any more and will only turn up for the TV and Champions League scouts. This is not McClarens fault, I think that generally as a club we are fucked.
  8. The club wouldn't have paid his wages (covered by insurance) so I'm sure the medical fees could have been easily paid. More likely this is to be an issue of how he was treated as a person.
  9. How can we expect the players to play for the club after the way it treated Jonas? The captain's apparent best mate as well. Why would Colo give a shit about the club after all of this?
  10. Didn't think we even needed to register u21s
  11. I see we are being linked with Victor Valdes until the end of the season, Holland paying for it.
  12. I would rather go back to Patrick Vieira - give the players and fans some interest, excitement and inspiration.

I think as well that the club has lost the dressing room in the way popular members of the playing squad have been treated personally. A public apology needs to be given to Jonas and Ryan Taylor and Charnley must be removed.
  14. The game is on TV. It is against Chelsea so the International Manager / CL Club Scouts / Mourinho are watching. 3-2 win

We need leadership amongst the players. If that means getting Nolan back then so be it.
  16. Can we just sack all the players and play a random set of 11 fans every game?
  17. No comment on De Jong's performance? He seemed a little deeper than I expected, but defensively he tracked his man well and passed the ball around crisply. With the lack of alternatives might be worth a look as a pure central midfielder.

Was glad to see Perez in there, didn't have too many complaints before the match. I think watching yesterday made me think maybe the formation and team selection isn't as much of a problem as what seems like a chronic lack of morale, teamwork and drive amongst the players. They looked like total strangers who've never played with each other before in their life, no communication, no unspoken understanding of where to move or where to pass the ball - players feeding a ball through on the outside of a defender just as the player they were passing to checked his run and darted in to the middle, things like that. No-one was working for each other, there was no gestures of "unlucky mate" or hands up of "my fault, good idea". Conversely, the players didn't look comfortable enough with each other the criticise a wrong decision or bad pass, aside from some undirected looking at the sky. It's usually the kind of stuff I'd scoff at as being a bit David Brent, but it looks like these lads need to go and play paintball together and do some fucking trust falls or something. Agree there, definitely looked like some players just did not have that mental readiness, be it confidence or just not caring enough. There was much better drive and determination in the second half.

Over 4 years since he signed Cabaye. Since then, the best signing we have made (Perez) was not even down to him.

Good practice for next season. Keep him at Coventry for the season, he will benefit more from the consistency rather than having to start over at another club.
  21. It's a good move because Watford have been focusing their defence on our right, let's double up.
  22. It's his best position. I disagree like, when on form he's unplayable regardless of his position, he just gets us forward so well. From my memory his best games have come for us on the right. He plays for France on the right too apparently. He brings the best out of Janmaat
  23. Dr Jong is playing much deeper than I thought but he is doing well
